1. Me, being an enthusiast to see such cars in these modern businessbusinessbusinesscase times, would still want to see that CX75 being produced. Small numbers of production then, extreme price tag then, there's always 2 people in the world who'll buy it. It's an image-booster you can always use. Just read something on Autocar about the Merc hypercar... supposedly delivered within the next two years at 3,5 million euros each, and a full Mercedes-AMG developed product. Engine completely taken over from the F1 car including energy recovering systems. Really getting curious about this thing.
2. Liking the Alfa, liking the Aston even more. I wonder how well Alfa will do with these new models. The looks are in the bag already. That S650 imo is a bit of another unnecessary call, maybe they're earning so much money they don't know how to spend it anymore. The luggage set and wheels seem to be the only thing different from what you can get on a normal S, the ''limited to 300 units'' makes me wonder if they'd even get more than 300 orders if it would nót be limited-run. It's not offering anything else/special, that would make me think it's a Maybach instead of a regular Merc. This is just downgrading a good name. The old 57 and 62 weren't The Very Best Of but at least they were quite a bit special compared to a regular S-Class. Talking about the key... it júst got announced and it's already behind on the E-Class key fob which can even be ordered in 4 different finishes. The Maybach-logo backplate looks like an aliexpress thought, for a 300K car I would have put a bit more effort into it, like the Spyker, Koenigsegg or Pagani Huryaryayrayryarya fobs. Because Rolls-Royces imo look too bulky, too boxy, too big. Maybe somebody prefers the design of the car over the badge, name or bonnet statue or the fact the centercaps stay upright while driving. Aka: taste. Maybach is just a label now, nothing more special than Ford's Vignale. The only thing it stands for now is nearly-completely-closed wheels and a longer wheelbase than long wheelbase... and you're already missing the latter on this S cabriolet.
3. I think it's good they chose for this shape, as they announced, a kind of cross-over between a regular sedan and an SUV. Bit unusual perhaps but not bad. Mind they also have the F-Pace of which an electric version would be in development at the moment, so those who want an SUV can get that instead.
4. Does this count as off-roading? Edit: Entry post (entry changed):
5. Saw some talking about a new electric Jaguar.... well here it is: the I-Pace. Production starts in 2018. The concept is said to have 400hp and 700Nm torque, good for a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) sprint of around 4 seconds. It has liquid-cooled 90kWh lithium-ion batteries and can drive up to 500 kilometers (NEDC cycle) - 80% recharging takes 90 minutes, and fully recharging takes 120 minutes. I quite like it, mainly because it doesn't look as stupid or expressive as other EV's have to look like.
6. Time to bump-start this thing a bit: It's a boy! Audi giving a rare view of how cars are born. On a side note, it reminds me a lot of the Lego 8880 ads they used to show on tv. Here's another boy. These remain among my favorites, the slowest car built and a colorless rubix :
7. Still don't get why it has to be a Maybach, maybe it's their solution to sell S65 performances/driveline in a higher-spec S-convertible because Merc seems to have phased out the 600 label for everything that isn't an S-Class 4-door. Maybe selling it as a Maybach S650 makes it less screamy/sporty than an S65 AMG or something? And they can keep getting a nice profit if it basically is a rebadged S65... here in Holland an S63 and S65 are about 100K apart from eachother. Only difference from a regular S Convertible so far seems to be it will be available in red
8. Few more shots. Yes, yellow.... again. I like Aston's styling, even though almost every Aston looked the same. Nice way to make one look special was the sporty yet clean looking V8 Vantage N24. I wanted one, so I tried to make a similar looking car. Eventually I settled with a lighter yellow car (see first two pics for true color), but on my later pics it looks very strong yellow.
9. Could be what they want. Maybe somewhere people don't wanna visit their customers in Audi's because of a certain image, so VAG can sell them a high-spec Golf instead. But maybe that's far thinking, I only heard the above example about Mercs and BMW's here, dunno how it goes in the Audi world.
10. Check all dirt roads, check intersections, and also: check all the alleys in the city east and village south. I was stuck at 487/488 for a few days until I drove through an alleyway in the south village and got the popup 488/488. I somehow missed it completely and it wasn't thát clearly visible on the map due to the red color blending in well with the grey satellite imagery. And the fact those lines are dashed doesn't help a lot either
11. I mentioned the pink lakes one because it's not exactly on a path but alongside one, making it a bit easier to miss. All the other ones are actually on the roads or directly next to it.
12. They went lazy with the paint, by the standards of good miniatures. But it's Bburago, they're not high-end. Then again, I do have a spyker suitcase in a very light beige/ivory color... maybe Bburago was the trendsetter :)
13. Yes I have all of em and they really are 13. I'm just guessing..... do you have the pink lake area one?
14. Ye, and it's already rare to find those massive dragracer style bonnets for the muscle cars, or even more, the single long fin behind the driver seat of the 1st-gen Corvette.
15. @Tom: half of the cars I own now are either barnfinds or won through wheelspins, including some Lambo's and 2 generations of BMW M5. Other than that: save money by tuning with the free-tuning perk, do a lot of head to heads which are quite easy, keep doing races. @Diablo: I'm also glad they put the pop-up headlight version in. It's just that classical look for that car, it's also how I know it best: one of my first scale models was a 1/18 Bburago yellow Diablo with rear wing. Thanks again for the compliments, and I saw the duck shared it too on Facepalmbook! Awesome! @mau: gotta agree with you, on most of the cars, the rear wing sort of looks out of place and they would look better if it looked more like the actual race cars. And the Forza branded stuff is too much of the same, they could have done more stuff for most of the cars. Then again, I'd rather opt for extra OEM wheels or interior colors instead of be able to choose from bodykits, but that's just me.
16. Wanted to do that one too, but I new I needed a chair, a broom and some ropes and didn't have them available.
17. Loving 90's supercars, this was a no-brainer. Haven't looked through user-created vinyls but I'm surprised they went for the SV without the massive side lettering... I'd expect that's sort of what everybody knows the car by, not in the last place through NFS3 and 4. Also bought a GTA Spano or whatever it's name may be these days. And I bought a first-gen Viper ACR. I was sort of doubting what to do with the colors on it: black with red stripes, blue with white stripes and an attempt to mimic the first gen GTS with chrome five-spokes... but I settled with this. And incase you've been wondering: yes I do have a thing for yellow :p
18. That's almost a horrorgame xD But it looks very well made sofar!
19. Never said it's bad, in fact I would do the same thing, wouldn't be able to stand having so many buttons unmarked. Though ofcourse the budget has to help :p . High-end cars already have the buttons there because it can be cheaper to have unmarked non-functioning button caps, than having one doorpanel with 2 button holes or one with 8 button holes. Merc is in a largest/best-premium-builder war with BMW and Audi, and all 3 think they just have to build as many cars as possible to become the best. As car builder you reach the point your existing models sell at maximum capacity so you need something alongside it. Preferrably, something in a segment your competitors haven't fully covered yet, like how Merc made the CLS, BMW made the X6, etc. So Merc now builds a pick-up, they have analyzed the market and have predicted/noticed a massive increase in sales of pick-ups for the consumer (more as a luxury vehicle than a true working horse thing). Nissan comes in the picture because Renault-Nissan is an alliance, which Mercedes works together with (think of the Renault engines and the Citan/Kangoo). Nissan had the pick-up truck, a proven vehicle already finalized in development, all Merc has to do is to restyle it, slam at least one of their own engines in it and try and dress it a bit. The Merc will be built on the same line as the Nissan as well.
20. Plus that estate version is giving you a larger glass roof than a regular beached whale. Yes, people like to brag about such things, just like people who order cars full-option purely because they can't stand buttons without icons on them.
21. In the game, I see the classical spinning circle even when I'm in the middle of some skillpoint collecting. But yes there is no button that says Save Progress.
22. Sometimes, I also wonder that.... then again I don't think it quite often. I do think it's has enough polishables for a PC-game but I like it. The extra content.... well I dunno, but I'm not liking the sound of the financials around the upcoming expansion packs. Makes it sound like that will charge you a game worth of money. But time will tell.
23. >>ENTRY POST<< (entry can change...) For who doesn't see it: >>click<< And for who still doesn't see it: it's an attempt at the Gas Monkeys F40, this was one of the projects shown in the series Fast 'n Loud.
