  1. While I am not getting this for PC but the Xbox rather, I still can't jump onboard with this 3d stuff. I am going to purchase a new TV with my tax refund next week so I've been shopping around quite a bit. I just can't get excited about it, I just prefer to watch a plane Jane TV, instead of some 3d one with glasses. I dunno just doesn't feel or look right. I am glad to see that it is being supported for those of you who have spent quite a large sum of money acquiring the required equipment for 3d.
  2. Have any of you seen. *Epic trumpet fanfare music* THE VOLVETTE
  3. I lived in Los Angeles for a year and that really was something special car wise. I mean in one day I saw 19 Bentleys. Any type of Porsche were no longer interesting, they were really as common as Honda Civics out there. Many many lotus's, and maybe 2 or 3 Lambos a week. Ferrari 360's were also very common. Only a few Aston's though. Also, in stark contrast to what you said, I never saw a Maybach that entire year. Car culture is really something strong out there, I kinda miss it. However, its UNGODLY expensive to live any type of normal life. If I ever came into money I'd probably move back.
  4. I had a couple thousand miles on my Dodge viper SRT10 in tdu1, but that wasn't because it was my favorite, it just handled business at the pseudo drag strip in town next to the Nissan dealership. My favorite car to drive was the Ferrari 612. I just love big long proper grand touring GT's. So it will probably be that again, however the Aston V12 Vantage and the Audi RS6 Avant have a good chance of stealing that top spot. However, if the release a Bentley Continental GT as dlc, it will be a no contest. I love that car.
  5. Nope The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 5 characters

  7. This thread is quickly becoming off topic, but I am no moderator so who cares! lol Anyway. A few years back EA was churning out cookie cutter game with every big name on them just for a profit. Then the massive Call of duty explosion happened, and the entire idea of cookie cutter game was taken to the next level. I mean those games are all the same, I would know I played em way to much. With that being said I've noticed somewhat of a resurrection in EA....sort of. While EA themselves is entirely focused on profit above all else, and anything developed in house is quite bad they have recently taken a step back from individual developers. They have shown a tendency to buy a smaller developer and basically let them run the show if its working, and just provide the capitol for them to make great games. Also they do support their games more than most, with someone previously pointing out the massive DLC for rockband, and actual servers for the Battlefield series. It seems now Activision is really the giant we all hate. Call of duty is just rubbish now. Cod4 was awesome, but seriously not upgrading your engine for 4 games and just pasting new textures and guns is just awful business practice. I really wish the masses would see this. Of course they're some exceptions. I tell you I had Nfs:HP reserved and half way paid off at gamestop once, then I played the demo. I assure you friends, those funds is what paid off TDU. I was super excited about that game, loving all the NFS games back from its heyday, especially Hot pursuit. Then I realized the game sucked and I was livid.
  8. That's really upsetting. For the most part, I am a cockpit only driver. I love watching the guages work on all my racing games. So if they really aren't up to snuff of games that came out years ago, like forza or the nfs series I will be very disapointed. Also if I remember correctly, every GPS screen in tdu 1 showed the map. On a positive note tdu 1 & 2 are the only games I know of where the hud guages for the outside cameras are guages from the car, not just a default for all.
  9. With the exception of his wacky driving decisions sometimes that scenic drive video was awesome. I can't wait to take a hummer to the top of those coastal mountains where there are no roads. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS Finding parts of a broken down car out in the wilderness is a pretty cool idea. Kinda gives me an excuse to explore randomly, like I needed one :D Start to look real good gents.
  10. Yes sir, 4th CEB. It lists the units on that wiki page. I am in Alpha Co, based out of Charleston WV.
  11. Yea, 4th CEB alpha co 4th MARDIV 3 1/2 years in the reserves, its not bad. E-4 Field Radio Operator Never been deployed though.
  12. I was wondering the same thing so I shot him a question on the VVV facebook page.
  13. Well I figured he felt pretty good about me driving off with it because he had my car, a fully functioning one in his driveway.
  14. Oh geez I made this horrible, guy wrenching, daft video filled with mispronunciations a few years ago when I was younger. I have never linked it anywhere on the internet because I felt it was horrible, but I fell that this thread is where it belongs. Enjoy...if you can. http://www.youtube.com/user/gunnyEstrada#p/a/u/2/90fLbW44m4o:o
  15. So earlier this week I was browsing craigslist when I came across this. ok you ask for pics LOOK 1994 jeep That my friends is a 94 jeep Cherokee. Now I know we have a lot of UK members so I will just be short and to the point. The engine that is in those is extraordinary. In their time, these things were amazing. Its a 4.0 liter inline 6 making 190hp and 220 ft/lbs. On a very light frame with 4 wheel drive and good ground clearance. These things are the stuff of legend. I used to have one, back in the day but a terrible ex girlfriend wrecked mine enough to bend the frame and well, its done after that. I would love to have another one so I contacted the seller and scheduled a time to come see it. Then things got interesting. I followed the directions and ended up in "Healthy Heights Trailer Park". The guys name could have been jimbo by the looks of him. He was shoveling the car out of the snow and seemed very uninterested in me. Probably because he knew the probability that I would die on the test drive. I started it up and with 170,000 miles on it, she cranked over instantly and idled at the a very constant rpm with a very low purr, a testament to that engine I am sure, but that's where the pleasantries stop. On the display box the "CHECK BRAKES" light was lit. Interesting I said, the pedal felt a little soft but nothing to extreme for an 17 year old vehicle. I started down the road, flicking switches and testing things. It than began to shake...and by shake I mean with the utmost of violence. So naturally I applied the brakes. To no avail. I started to stop with the braking force of a sailboat. I immediately turned around and pulled into a gas station and used the e brake to stop. I turned the wheel hard left and put it in park. I got out, looked in the wheel well to inspect the brakes. They looked fine to me, I said to my lady friend "Hey step on the brake pedal" and about 3 seconds later my shirt, pants, and face were covered in brake fluid. I used the mans shirt in the back seat to clean myself off, then very gingerly drove back to the exotic trailer park. I pulled into his driveway foolishly applied the brakes. After coming to a stop in his snow bank, I got out threw the keys at him and said "You are aware we have lemon laws in the country right" To which he replied something I could not decipher. I promptly left. WTH who does this to people. What if I needed to stop for an emergency! I would have hit someone in someones else's car with no insurance and no inspection.
  16. Is it just me or does every single somewhat leaked image of anything has to be shot by someones shaking hands under horrible light. Every. Single. Time. On Engadget.com they post a lot of sneak shots of upcoming phones. 9 out of 10 just look like fuzzy black squares, but somehow those nerds can identify every part.
  17. My complaint exactly. I was watching one of the newer VVV videos and he test drives a Bugatti. The in car view was unusable because of the roofline. Considering that we have like 5 Bugatti's, this is kinda an issue.
  18. From what I understood this is exactly the case. I can't quite understand why everyone got all in a tissy over what someone said on the steam forums when I know that somewhere on THIS forum I read that the cycle was shorter for review versions, or maybe is was on that VVV guy. It's also my understanding that in the VVV videos when he test drives a car, when its over all the cars in the dealership are different to allow the reviewer to see more cars in less time. Again, something I read here.
  19. This game just keeps punching me in the stomach.
  20. Who wants to cringe. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this a while back. Jaguar XJ220 in Qatar -- Autoblog
  21. I've been a member of this forum for a few months but mostly a lurker, I posted my introduction and never posted anything else until these last few weeks. However, what I have noticed is that you sir, complain about everything. That's your right I suppose, but it every last aspect of the game is falwed beyond repair to you, simply don't buy it. Don't impose your views on us. With that being said, in my opinion, this shifting in the videos is the worst part. They never promised Forza/GT physics, never, so I was expecting a mix of arcade handling models. The sound is mediocre despite some members acting like children over car sounds. Its not the best, but it will do. However, the VVV videos the shifting is just awful. He is using an automatic I understand and I do hope its negated by using a proper manual. Its like the rpms teleport from readline back to 3000, no gradual falling of rpms. Just instant. With that being said I have noticed that during the license tests it seemed the worst. I did notice that even in the higher end cars it wont let you rev it up and smoke on when the start timer says go. Probably to make an even start for everyone doing the license tests. So revving it up there, is not beneficial. It just resets the cars rpm to idle.
  22. I understand the disappointment with no XJ220, its such an iconic car and advanced one for its time. However, I feel its been overdone. I saw a post on autoblog once where a reader found one covered in dust and dirt surrounded my garbage in an alley in some stinky middle east country. Personally, I am more upset over no XFR. Such a cool car.
  23. Please for the love of god just give me this. Any others are just optional.
  24. Yea, according to my firefox history I visit autoblog more often than I visit google. I saw this story and was writing up a long winded cry of defense for the game, because this was quite possibly the worst trailer to feature for it. I got about two paragraphs in and said screw it. Knowing that the internet is a terrible terrible place, and that I would just be run over in the comments. I felt sad really, I really love autoblog as a site and was completely dumbfounded that they chose that trailer. On a happier note, original poster, I don't even know what It means but I gave you an internet.
