  1. Cool.

I've done it louder in a way the distortion is all over the sound, not only in parts of it.

    That would've been disturbing.

So now it sounds a bit dirty, fits better to it.

In the sourcevideo it is singing.

Now ingame it can scream too, like a v12 should be able to do.

And as it is no onboard sound, this is also more realistic.

By the way, i've been adding ingamerecordings to all my sounds,

for those who don't want to install something, before hearing it.

    Use the extract here function.

Extract to, showed a failiure sometimes. Regards

  2. O i got many ideas for sounds.

    With 16 gigabytes of carvideos,

and 13 gigabytes of carmods for TDU collected,

i got the full freedom of selecting.

    What is SC ?

I like the idea of a flat v6 Porsche, loud, because without turbo.

But at first, i want to improve the one or two of the yet released sounds's quality.

  3. Great tnx for the likes guys.

    Little info :

At first i thought about just taking this sound, and make it a Ferrari Dino 246 GT sound too,

because the Stratos got the Dino engine buildt in.

But i found a better video for the Dino, so i didn't do that.

As long as it is not done, you can take this Stratos sound for your Dinos, it is historically correct ;-) .

  4. Hmm... as i said, i mean another way. I took a look into that vst file. There are numbers letters and descriptions.

Things like the volume are set in there. It looks a bit like in hex editor. Who find out just tell please.

Jorge, i meant the sound recorded from onboard view, wich is also close to zero distance to the engine,

but 50% more silent then the inputted sound. I know what you mean.

One time i used an equalizer to reduce the bass and highest hights in the sound to be able to put the volume up to the

same level it had before the equalizer, wich means louder ingame. I just want another way, using the ingame sound engine

for making it loud, not through the soundfiles. It is the same like making an online profile an offline profile with hex editor.

For this we need an insider information.

If this not happenes, i do EVERY sound in this game more silent in order to have the engine loud in relation, when turning

your audiosystem's volume up. I thought from beginning, man why are the engines so silent,

even when the enginevolume is set to 100% in the ingame options. This could be a sensefull mod . What do you think ?

Well let m try to explain... try to use a spectral cleaner ..only then you can amplify volume without distorce the sample

    Tnx, and, i agree.

The volume is ok. And allthough it seems to be an exterior recording,

i don't know where the microphone is in the video,

you can imagine it to be onboard too.

Just open windows, and it is like hearing this beautiful engine screaming at you from outside.

By the way, i uploaded a loud version for the f50.

Porsche R Turbo, Subaru Impreza, and Corvette ZO6 are done loud in the next days too.

    Regards.

For me, the new 512 sound has perfect volume. I don´t like it when it´s too loud. Many sounds are way too lound, especially in cockpit view. They sound not like "in car" and that is bad.

Remember, there is an insulation when you are in cockpit and this is hearable.

    @Jorge

Very interesting explanation, thanks for that!

    --- Post Updated ---

Tnx. Yes, i'd say, a good video is 50% of the work done.

    --- Post Updated ---

    [/color]Thank you.

Yes, maybe the best one so far.

Again, so you don't miss it.

F50 loud version uploaded. Porsche R Turbo, Subaru Impreza, and Corvette ZO6 to come.

The Porsche R Turbo is updated ( not loud yet ) , but with exhaust sound now.

It was missing, because i used only the test rig video so far.

So it is not sounding like in the preview video anymore.

I personally like it very much. Just a tip for all who missed it.

By the way, no new cars anymore ?

I mean if not it is ok, plenty enough done, but, just asking.

    Regards

i like that sound one of ur best ones so far,

that one is also much louder then the other ones u made good job

  5. Tnx guys.

I don't know why the recorded ingame sound is 50% the volume of the sound that i put into the soundfiles.

Would be so great if someone finds out , how to turn the volume of the cars up ingame.

Not via the soundfiles themselves, but by the way the car is set to handle them.

There must be another way, because for example the sound ingame is stereo, and the files put in are mono.

Front engine, you look right, sound turnes to be on left side. And so on.

I'm sure it is in the file CarVSTConfig.xmb that changes size and is inside the soundfile of every car.

If someone found out how to open it, pleeeeease tell,

because the sounds i want to put into my mods are better in quality.

And if i would not have to distort them before putting them in,

in order to be loud enough ingame, they would keep that.

    Congratulations!

    It´s really fantastic!

    +rep mate !

You been doing great with this new tecnhic

Also i keep saying what combat as said ... a bit more volume wouldnt kill anyone XD but they are your sounds anyway!!

Cheers and good luck with future projects

  6. Thank you very much guys.

I admit, i profit very of the video's perfect sound quality, but there WOULD HAVE BEEN ways messing it up :-) .

    I myself enjoy it too.

Normally it takes a bit longer than one day, and this way you might be fed up with a sound/car a bit.

No way this could happen this time.

Allthough i had a very long try with that car for the könig bodyed 90's Testarossa.

Now this car is a great great fun.

I like the downtouring ( especially the little "blob" in midrange ) fitting so good to the blast all the way up.

This car got an awesome sound. I'm only the person transfering it.

So the real credits for good work go to the guys at Ferrari, hehe.

Anyways, again thank you for the comments, and "likes" also. It is appreciated and motivating.

What a sound ! You just made the Testarossa better it self with that sound ! Incredible work. Thank you very much, I enjoy it so much in game :)

    I checked it ;d

I can't believe it, sound is perfect and beautiful. 100% of TDU sound engine is used in this mod.

  7. Tnx :-).

The bnk file is originally from the nissan skyline.

There in the physics, the engine is set to be a front engine of course.

Check if the model you are replacing got the same setting, with modding tools 1.16 .

Let me know if this was the reason. Because when i turn my soundsystem up, to me the car is very loud enough.

What about the other things i asked for ?

By the way, for soundmodding starters.

Modding tools 1.10 is good for changing the size of the wavefiles in a bnk. 1.16 does not feature this.

There is a limit the bnk can take, you just have to try how much. I didn't try deactivating filesize limit yet.

It is adding a little space in the wave naturally, if you do so.

Extract the waves again, but only use them for comparison with the files in your audioproject.

Importing an extracted wave into your audioprogram, work with it, and then extract to C:/ again, will make it sound like crap.

Especially if you work with a program, where you can't work in 4bit mode.

I work in 16bit mode, extract to 4bit for the game one way ticket.

Reimporting 4bit into a 16bit session works, but only pragmatically.

The quality is getting hearably low.

Make them originally in the program kept files the exact length.

Now you only have to use the old bnk manager to pack them in.

nice nice m8 im gonna try it out later on

    Edit:

the sound is rly epic but the volume is way to low IMO that could need a lil fixing

Hmm, if i was, i surely would not know ;-).

    I mean my own world.

I have no peace in my mind, if in anything i do, something is wrong.

But also i really want worldpeace. You don't have to be a saint wanting this.

I even doubt there are saints existing. It is not fair to expect that from a person.

I believe the saint, people are searching for, is the decision itself, not to, or to do, bad, or good things.

So it really is in each and everybody of us. It is all about decisions. Allways.

I find the greek model of many gods quite romantic and entertaining, but thats it.

I don't believe in god. People claim to act in his name, even when going to kill people.

The wars going on on our planet are making me insaint.

Fu.. the war, make believe love.

And watch the new axe peace commercial. It is exactly showing, what i mean ;-) .

I'm pretty sure you didn't want to start a discussion, and i wrote too much.

I stop writing worldpeace in the reason for editing box.

Don't want to annoy anyone. It is naiv.

    Regards.

Editing for "worldpeace". You are a saint sir!
  8. Released. Updated dl link yesterday.

The sound is done with a car reving up to 7000 ingame.

But the p1 from the sourcevideo revs up to 8000 in real.

So now the sound at 7000 is like it is supposed to be at 8000.

    For better understanding,

if you now replace a sound from a car reving ingame up to 8000,

it would sound like it would in real at 9000.

I thought, i do everything ok, by producing the sound in a to 7000 reving car, like the 22B does in real.

But i didn't know the p1 rev range at that time. Even at wikipedia was no info.

But as i couldn't find a good video for the 22B soundrelated, i took the p1 video.

As i want to do it a s real as i can, i want to set the sound of the mod maybe 6% to 13% lower next days.

Then you can take it as p1 sound as it is up to 8000, and as a 22B sound in a car reving up to 7000 ingame.

The 22B also got 0,2 l of displacement more compared to the p1.

I allready put just a tiny bit more bass into the sound, to compensate the difference to the sourcevideo.

Please tell me if you find it ok too, to take the p1 engine sound for the 22B.

Or if it is too much difference in the sound between them.

Both are a 4 cylinder boxerengine.

One 2,0 l up to 8000, the other 2,2 l up to 7000, at nearly same power. Logic.

Doesn't need to rev so high, because it got more displacement, to produce the same power.

    Edit 16.02.2014 :

New dl. I did it, like i said. 13% soundadjust.

Now you can take the sound as a Subaru p1 sound in a to 8000 reving car,

and as a Subaru 22B sound in an up to 7000 reving car. All good :-) .

  9. Tnx.

Pitching is no problem at all.

The only trouble is them waves of normal loudness getting so silent,

    when put into the game.

    Real pitty.

I want that clean sound lound ingame, not a loud messed up sound.

I could just make it louder, but distortion would ruin the v12 sound then. ...

    Edit :

Ok, i uploaded a loud version. Tell me if the distortion is too much.

I find it gives the clean version a nice screamy flavour :-) .

i hate the video recorded with the GoProHero (about the exhuast camera)..are impossibile to pitch.. BTW great job :)
  10. The Subaru Impreza 22B STI is a special version.

    2,2 liter , 4 cylinder. 280 power , 250 fast. Rev range is up to 7000.

Please set ignition time to 2,4 S. Modding tools 1:16 .

    Enjoy button updated 16.02.2014 :

Put it into a to 8000 reving car, for a Subaru p1 sound, and into an up to 7000 reving car, if you want a Subaru 22B sound.

  11. Appreciated.

Yes, i did slow progress, due to motivation problems,

    plus, i was lazy.

But i got into it again.

    Very good work, as usual.

    Thx for that !

    ;)

    --- Post Updated ---

Welcome at turboduck, and thank you.

I agree, i like it too.

I was lucky finding a good video.

Nothing to change, but maybe (real big maybe) the misfiring sequenze, from time to time,

allthough it is swinging, not only looping.

For all. If it gets annoying after a few months, just tell me.

In the last parts of the video, the exhausts seem to be heaten up, and the misfiring is much quicker.

This put in, would sure never get repetitive. In a few months, MAYBE ;-) .

    Awesome work!! i love it!

    thx!!

    --- Post Updated ---

    Wow, thank you.

    The Koenig Testarossa.

I found something not so brilliant that i want/need to change with it,

but i won't tell what it is, as long as you find it good, hehe.

    The f50.

I'm a bit said about that too. I can explain why.

The files themself are at maximum volume, without being distortet.

It is the game itself, making it that silent, and taking bass out of it.

And now you think wtf, why are the other 2 mods so loud then.?

This is because they are turbosounds.

I used an equalizer, to give it a more bassy shape again, when ingame.

Then i distortet them to compensate the loudness reduction caused by the game,

The distortion in the so changed sound is similar to a turbosound, so it is fitting to it.

And then i reduced the level again. so it is not too much louder than other cars in the game.

When i tried that with the f50, the distortion caused the whistle of the exhaust pipes to not sound so good anymore.

It is very good detail, in the video. V12 in general, has more detail. Any distortion destroys that.

So i decided to just keep it like that, to not ruin it.

Of course, Testarossa is v12 too, but this Koenig bodyed version got twinturbos.

They overlap unclean sounds a bit.

I see what i can do with an equalizer again.

Maybe i can max out the loudness of the pipes, and the other's louder.

But then, the relation inbetween all the tones of this beautiful sound,

would be not original anymore. That's the reason why, i didn't try it yet.

    No promises ;-) .

    So long, regards.

Absolutly stunning sound Tinnio :D I also tried the Koenig Testarossa sound who's brillant and the F50 sound. The only little thing I found a bit weird about the F50 is the sound is not very loud. Sorry :ill:
  12. The second one i did arround new years eve 2013. No party,

just visited the most important persons, my parents,

and then sat down to do it in a night and day session.

  13. Ok. I did some further work today.

The onmid ist 4 times longer now ( it was only a second ), so it is looping very clean and smooth.

I found out , how to make the samples as long as i want them to be, yesterday.

This is saving so much time and work. And i had it all the time here yet, simply just the modding tools.

Next sounds come very soon. So long ;-).

    Wow,

    looks great !

    I try it soon.

    Thx for the update !

    ;)

  14. Nice you like it.

    Here another tip.

I polished and updated the 1990 Koenig bodyed Ferrari Testarossa, the Ferarri f430 serial, and the Porsche R Turbo sound.

    Merry Christmas.

Ferrari Testarossa 512 TR, Subaru Impreza p1, Ferrari f50, i try to do yet this year.

    Edit 2019 : All done and released 😛 .

  15. Updated and polished.

Now the exhaust sound is in it.

I took it from the part of the Porsche R Turbo video,

where the camera is in front bumper view.

So the ontouring sound now comes completely from that part.

The downtouring sound stays the one from the test rig video,

it was an octave too high in the previous version,

This can happen very easily, if 3 sounds are swinging up,

and the middle tone of them in onmid becomes the, what would be the correctly highest, tone in onhigh.

This way, the highest tone of onmid becomes too high in onhigh.

In a trio of sounds, the deepest tone of the onlow becomes the middle tone in onmid, and the lowest tone in onhigh.

But sometimes it is hard to devide them. The best is, take one tone, adjust it, for onlow, onmid, and onhigh correctly,

and write down the percentages of the done tempo changes to it. So this fault can never happen again.

    I corrected it. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas, and a happy new year. Tinnio

  16. Updated and polished.

I took a new sourcevideo, for the ontouring sound, that now includes more clarity.

downtouring stays the same like in the mod video.

Merry christmas, and a happy new year. Tinnio

    Edit (31.12.2013) :

The ontouring now includes a 6 second dynamic audiofile.

It displays the character of the engine from bottom to up,

    while swinging completely through it.

So when accelerating, it sounds like in real,

and at stable speed, it is swinging nicely,

and long enough, without getting too repetitive.

  17. Epic ?

    Wow, thank you.

Ok, i agree that it sounds better than before.

I'm not yet satisfied with the mid range onsound.

It gives dynamic because it is swinging and going nicely into the higher onsound,

and you don't hear it looping when accellarating normal,

but if you are keeping the speed in middle range, the swinging is too fast,

so you hear it looping too much.

I wonder if i should take the onmid from the previous version,

but i think i put work into the present file.

    What is TS3 ?

And by the way, please say, that it is a corvette zo6 soundmod,

in the downloadable files from your corvette zr1 carmod thread.

Next time, please ask me, before you use one of my sounds for one of your cars.

I mean i really appreciate it, and like that you picked my mod, but let's keep some principles alive.

It's cool you changed your downloads into direct ones,

That makes it very comfortable to get your cars.

Sure was a lot of work. Thank you.
