the crew turboduck Saturday Multiplayer #2.1: The Crew on September 17
Loek replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Nice but..... I can run it on 5fps max... Even then with big 1fps spikes, it's literally unplayable. For the record, I can run games like GTAIV, TDU2 on max graphics without any trouble, but on min graphics, it just refuses to run this game. -
This is impossible, same for school cars. For instance, Miami Mustang and regular Mustang '67 look like seperate cars, but change data on one, other changes too. Star, could you do us a favor and use the regular 612 and 599 instead of the special ones? Although they could do with a dashboard light upgrade (indicator arrows and light modes in the dashboard) I use those more regularly than the normal 599 and 612.

Shame about the bodykit, I don't like the quality of VRS's model...

Because my db_data is so heavily edited, I'm not interested in the entire patch, however, I do like to install the cars only and mess around with the VPE myself. Anyone care to tell me on which cars the RX-7 and Maserati MC12 are based (the original replace model) so I can add them myself? TIA.

Then get VPE and do it yourself.

Your favourite driving games of all time?
Loek replied to CarMadMike's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Personally, I'd add only three games to this list: GT4: a lot of cars + a lot of stuff to explore + PS2 = my childhood. The, for back then, insane graphics combined with the epic variety of cars (my dads 2003 Peugeot 307 was even included in that game!), I've played this game for years. I did still play it like a few months ago, but there's no fun in it, tbh. I stared at a garage filled with almost every single LMP1 car in the game, seeing a progress bar of 91% that hasn't changed for the past 2 years. I (or actually, my sister) have a PS4 but there's no GT game for PS4 so I kinda want GT again but it's at the moment not possible. Ford Racing 2: a crap game tbh. But it was my first ever racing game. And there was plenty to unlock, making this game too good for years of fun. It's not a game that should be updated for nowadays consoles, nor is it a game that should be remembered. But there's memory in it. Isn't it just epic to have a game in which the Ford GT is the fastest car available? It was rather special, before noticing that everything I liked about the game is also available in other games, but then better. Nowadays, the only interesting thing to say about FR2 is that the rear side of the PS2 Disc is purple, instead of silver. TDU2: haters gonna hate, and I know they will. I know how disappointing TDU2 is considering the potential of the game. Did I know that when I first got the game, 5(!) years ago when I was 11 years old? Ofcourse not. I saw a game that had a nice variety of nice cars, nice graphics, okay sounds, and I didn't care about physics back then. Special mention for the avatar customization / walkaround interior options, working cabrio roofs and opening windows. That in an open world game, where you can travel to every single centimeter of the map available, and I can go on. Anyone can have another opinion, but I haven't found a game yet that combines all these powers like TDU2. Combine that with the added social aspect and the dozens of people I've met via TDU2, and the current modding opportunity in the game, and I don't see why this game is not a recipe for success. Note, apart from like 5 hours of "borrowed gameplay" (playing it on a friend's PC) I have an opinion about TDU1, but considering the positive energy towards TDU1 in this thread, let's keep that silent for now. I like TDU2 despite the obvious flaws. The social aspect and the pure cruising and fun I've had, make it unbeatable. My 2 cents. -
Finally this beast in TDU2!

Speaking of Audi's LED lights: if only anyone could make work in TDU, that would be insane.

Not that tempted tbh, my db_data file is too modified to start all over again. Besides, apart from the RX-7, all those cars are in my game anyway. Can anyone tell me the vehicle replacement for the RX-7, Vanquish and MC12? That way I can install them myself.

You can always switch the models yourself, it gives the Sessanta a nice bit of rim options as well. It's just that other people see you in a Scaglietti rather than a Sessanta. But why would you care :D Same goes for China Edition. I think the normal 599 and 612 are boring af and the China/Sessanta makes them just that more interesting.

I meant an own design tron skin, no offence, yours is really nice, but I just can't find the right technique to do it myself.
-
I also want a tron skin on my Aventador but it's so damn hard :(

Spyker works normally in my game, probably your files messed up. Not Autopack's fault. Pagani Huayra top speed, idk, it probably can get that fast without limiter. R34 engine same here, mine works fine.

D.R.I.V.E. has been Kickstarted! And we need you!
Loek replied to CLR-GTR's topic in Driving & Racing Games
So you're basically making a perfect version of TDU, that sounds amazing! I wish you all the best and if all things go right, you will probably have one of the best OWR games ever. Have you considered the damage modeling and physics or is it too soon to work on those kind of things? (Sorry if I sound like a complete game-developer n00b...) Also, the provided screenshots contain "dreamup cars", will this be a definitive choice or will you make real brand cars eventually? (Again, sorry if you are in a too early stage to judge) I'm curious to see more, again, best of luck and I hope for a fluent release, don't whatever you do rush it. -
That Levante is rather nice. Hope it will return in Autopack.

My video is not official Autopack content, it's a preview with replacement models and edited data to come close to the Autopack version. The Gallardo sound was the closest to M4 Akra sound I could get, imo. Because it's one of the most futuristic cars ever (would you say it's 25 years old looking at one?), it's epic to drive and very luxurious. This car was its time years ahead and is becoming a classic JDM icon.

Although Xarlith has recognized Autopack (IIRC), I don't think their work is a reason for Xarlith to stop working on it. Xarlith quitting himself makes it more likely. The good modders' interest in the TDU2 community is dying anyway. Such a shame.
-
Compatibility with Autopack is the last reason why UP won't be continued. The fact that Xarlith and the rest sort of left TDU2, or the entire forum, is the primary reason I think.
-
I think you did that nice, however can you give an example of it's purpose? What exactly can we change with it? Sorry if it's obvious, I'm terrible with numbers :D
-
No probz for beta testing it? :P Great work though!

A while ago a friend of mine found a map discovery helper, which you engage and every undiscovered part of the map becomes bright red so that it's easy to determine which areas you need to discover. He found that in 2014, when I wasn't exactly bothered by discovery. Now I am, because I have three areas on 99% discovery, and I can't find the last parts. Does anyone know where to find this mod, and if not, how to make one?

Dislike the widebody, and the problem Michael indicated makes it a no for me. But the idea is nice.
