Just wondering why you'd need to remove some cars. Although that is technically possible, it's a complicated task which demands to remove any reference to the said cars in every part of the database... or prepare to apocalypse 🙈
Just replacing car files and editing vehicle specs is a safer way to get different vehicles.
And about other parts of the database, only the mod pack creator has the full knowledge of all references. Tools haven't been made for this kind of tasks. I mean, the tools source code is available, but someone knowing how to code has to lean 'a bit' towards it before handling such edge cases.

Just opened the database to add my own stuff with TDUF and I be like....

How the hell were you doing in that mess lmfao? Great job and thanks once again cause I doubt anyone else would have the patience to do THAT.
For other people: run TDUF, open the database and you'll get what I'm talking about (though I understand how it works more or less).

The project itself doesn't have one, but there's TurboDuck Official Discord server though.

Anyway, if there is one dedicated the project, lemme know 🙂
    Bruh, I'm late.

I got some bugs to report. I couldn't do a few car delivery missions (Carrera GT, Lancia 037) with a manual gearbox because the game didn't let me shift the gears. Also once  a little glitch happened after an F class race, after finishing it I couldn't exit the race (got stuck on "you won" screen with no buttons working) and I got to kill the game with the task manager.
I believe there were a few minor things too, I just don't remember now writing this comment.
By the way, huge thanks for edited races, I love them. Some actually added a bit of challenge. Is there a way to increase the number of opponents in some races (like from 4 to 8 or more if possible)?

I've actually managed to learn how to fix broken speedometers. And a few other things i haven't mentioned here.  But i once told here replying someone that it was troublesome and i wouldn't do it.  I take my words back.  Fix broken speedometers are now possible.

You will need TDUF. It's kinda complicated tool but when you understand how it works it's not that hard to use. Though it takes much to add a car from scratch, you will need to make database entries for the car, it's colors, rims, adjust the performance and tuning packs, maybe add the brand and cameras, then link all of that to the car.

You will get some cars in tuning shops as upgrades for others that you will buy in dealerships.

I'd drive Corvair if it wasn't that slow. How about giving it some steroids in the tuning shop and getting it back? If possible of course.
Also I liked the Cien, coolest Cadillac ever. Never mind, I'll get it back myself :)
BTW I was about to ask, how about replacing some of the showroom models with others to get more slots to put cars? E.g. there was a ex-Saleen dealership with only 3 car capacity. You can replace it with another showroom model that can have more cars inside. I've tried that with bike dealerships and it works (there were some unused ones by the way). You just need to make sure it doesn't look weird (the building doesn't block the road and there's no grass inside lol). Besides would be cool to replace some car rents with car lots, but I don't think that's possible :/

Seems like we're getting close to the release, huh? 🤔 There aren't too many letters and manufacturers left, I guess.
Keep up! You're doing great, Milli!

After messing with this screenshot for a half and hour with my poor photo editing skills, I don't really feel guilty so set it as a wallpaper. Thanks Milli :D
P.S. might improve a little bit more.

Can you enable race editor for offline mode/and make AI race with you on those tracks?

Some small update. Did the majority of the work behind the scenes on the scripts.

    Visual updates are mainly:
Wheel UI is in the works. Rims can now be changed outside of debug tools

And, arguably one of the most important things, functions to change paint color are now working. Finally I can preview the car in anything else than pure white:

Not much, but the paint thing is a major update. Will post more updates as soon as there are any.

Great job! I haven't read all the thread tbh, but hope I won't repeat others. Now a few questions:
    1) what about lighting mods? I noticed that weather and lighting configuration files are easily editable with notepad (though I haven't tried to edit it). A night mod maybe? :D
    2) will the system requirements for this DLC (or pack, or ultrapack, or whatever :D) be the same as the original game? I mean for CPU and GPU.
    3) will we have to reinstall the game or just replace the files? Will there be some kind of "update" pack for your patch? (bad english)
    4) and of course new events, races for specific brands and other stuff like that would be cool...

I wanted to create a video demo of the current build but OBS does not like recording more than 2 frames per minute apparently. So only screenshots again.

I worked a bit further on the color grading and the rain shader. I think it came out nice. Still improvements to be done though. Steam integration is also there, but I will make it optional at some point. No real news about gameplay and UI since I had a nasty bug which had to be fixed before continuing, but I fixed it today so it can progress from here. Don't expect any news soon though. Still a lot to do irl. Ah, and custom parts are still not UV mapped for the use with the raindrops so it looks odd here and there. It will look better next time.

Enjoy the pics. Maybe you can see already which mood I am aiming for the game.

It is model related. The rotation of the needles are determined by the location of the dummys in the interior 3D model file. There is no quick way of fixing it other than trial and error, and since this is not efficient, it is not worth the time.
You have the gearing data of the real world car all over the internet. Just upgrade the OS, install TDUF or TDUPE and enter those exact values for all gears then? You cant just upgrade one gear and expect it to work. This is how gears work. Everything is connected. You have 7 gears and a final drive ratio, all those have to correspond with each other.
Again, you have no right to demand anything of a work you don't pay a dime or a second for. This is a volunteer project of some individuals doing that in their free time. You absolutely have no rights for a demand. You can request and suggest, but you can not demand anything.

And your cheat argument doesn't really grip either since vanilla players have the same issue you described then.
I already explained everything about "demanding". Milli does not have to do anything you demand, and you should not expect your demands to be fulfilled. Please step down from your high horse.
But what stops you to contribute work for the project then? Expecting stuff to be done from volunteers but not contribute anything yourself but demands is helping nobody.

I always welcome anyone trying to work on mods and what not, so if there's anyone that wants to start but doesn't know how and what to do, I'm always down to help. However, to be able to "fix" mods takes about the same knowledge as making them from scratch, it's just less time consuming. On the other hand, TDuck discord exists, it's very active and has the people to answer virtually any question about modding. So I think it's more that people aren't very interested in doing something on their own (not to sound rude or anything).

I would like the idea if we had a bigger group of people making improvements, cause then it would have made sense to make some sort of a spreadsheet of things needed to be done, and assign those things to different people and have it all a bit more coordinated. In the current situation tho, I'm not sure if that's really worth it.

Trust me, as a person that's trying to help her with it, I can confirm that it's very time consuming. Even on my own mods I didn't get the dials to work correctly. I will update them sometime with new fixes and what not but doing it for each and every single car with that problem on top of what's already planned would be tough.
I would suggest trying it out yourself. If there were more people helping her maybe we could get it done.
  22. Thanks

There are lots of graphics mods out there for that sort of thing. Maybe there will be something done about it, I don't know.

At the moment those cars aren't included in the pack. You will need to install the same mods with your friends for everyone to see the same cars.
As for the cars themselves, they may be included in the next update, but I can't say for sure.

Quite busy with work, business, other projets and misc real life stuff. Barely have time to do anything. I worked on some custom parts which are not worth showing and this wet paint shader.

The parts are not fully mapped so its missing on some areas, but it turns out cool. It's also animated.

License plates are being generated now. They either follow a random combination in preset pattern:

Or can be customized fully in text (excluding prophanity) and length:

Here's the plate format concept I did for it:

The environment is being reworked by an environment artist friend and will be something like that:

Some docks in my hometown of Berlin, Germany, in moody, foggy weather with a bit of drizzle.
Currently working on the customization UX of the license plates. After that, the wheel editor will follow. Very UI-sided project.
    Slowly but surely making progress.
