I have no idea why that reddit rumor picked up any steam.
Everything in there is common knowledge, anyone could've posted that. My guess is some South American kid lol.
I doubt it because when you're resurrecting a franchise, chances are you'll play it safe with the location. So far this is all we have to go by:
Edit: Also there was an image of an offroad path with rally tape. Can't find it, but anyway its interesting they did some work on Oahu. But of course it could all just be a demo area, especially because those pics are quite old.

Got a question.
I dont want to lose my cars so once I replace files will it work? Also if something goes wrong, once I put old files back everything should be as it was before replacing files?
I would say make a new profile for TDU Platinum and keep your current one for vanilla. Also it would be easier to just backup the vanilla install and revert back if you need to later.

Hi, I'm sorry but I can't find anything about it and the fixes I found online don't work. The game works so well, but I can't see other players for most of the time and, when I see them, their name is white and they're not moving (except for one or two of them in Red). I want to play with my friends but we can't even meet up... How can I solve this...?
Sounds like you need to forward your ports. Check the FAQ here:

is there any way to get rid of this car? whenever i want to sell it my game crashes. Also it somehow managed to get into my garage.
I had that happen to me pre-Platinum; I was never able to get rid of it. But, one thing I didn't try was to sell it from the house, in the trade menu. Try that and lmk if it works. If not, then you gotta revert to a backup save, or start a new game/profile.

I find it 'amusing' when the traffic in front decides to change lane, then changes it's mind at the last minute and drifts back!
Never assume that 'other' driver knows what they hell they are doing (in relation to driving a car) or where the hell they are going. A good rule in general for driving in real life and TDU!
That sounds buggy to me, like the framerate is uncapped. When traffic signals a lane change, it always fully commits. Check if your vsync is enabled.

Hey!
First of all I want to thank you and for the contributors for this awsome mod!
TDU1 was my favorite game.
Nowadays I saw somewhere a post of your mod so started over playing.
There are some things I would like to ask though:
1. The gas consumption option is just terrific idea, but where can I find stations? Or how is it working?
2. Traffic AI was modified? As I remember the original game (or at least after the official Car pack DLC) the traffic's band change was smooth, but now they do it so sudden. Don't know if you get what I mean so I made a picture.
Maybe I did miss a step when I installed the mod?
I simply installed the original game, no patches, no DLC, or anything, then I installed the mod and it's patch.
Thanks for your answer!1.) No one really uses fuel because the island is lacking stations up north. So, its not possible to get from station to station if you drive the coast.
2.) Try checking "Vsync" in the Project Paradise Launcher. It sounds like your framerate is uncapped; that causes all sorts of traffic problems. You need it capped at 60, checking "Vsync" should cover it.

Even after doing that, and checking if the port was open and making the game .exe allowed in the firewall configs, if I try to go online, my game still gets stuck in the menus with that "Connecting to TDU Online Servers" message.
Try some other fixes in the FAQ.

What? Custom paint shop can't replicate original colors at all. lol
Lol, I'm saying even though the custom paint shop can't replicate factory colors, these colors still have specific coordinates that show up every time you enter the custom shop. So, even though you lose the real color of the factory paint upon entering, you can still consistently apply whatever coordinates it defaults to in the custom shop.
For example, if you have a car that has say only white, black and red factory paints, you can locally add a factory blue in an unused slot. This blue won't show up online, and if you bring it to the custom shop, the true color of the factory blue will disappear. However you can still apply whatever blue coordinates it defaults to, either plain or metallic. So essentially you're using a factory paint as a custom bookmark for the custom paint shop, so you don't have to keep manually painting cars every time you want a certain color.
EDIT:
This is the default "blue turquoise" paint of the 993, reapplied through the custom shop with the metallic option. I also did it twice to make sure the coordinates are consistent. These colors will never look as good as a factory paint, but sometimes they're not bad.

But to make your life easier, i uploaded something that was very useful for me when i did Platinum.
That's a great guide. I had the big color image from somewhere, but never saw the folder with the paints on cars before.
On a side note, even though these factory paints don't show up online when applied locally, I noticed that some of them still look pretty good when reapplied through the custom paint shop. So for cars with unused paint slots, factory paints can be locally added as sort of quick bookmark to apply various colors in the custom paint shop (which show up online).. haha.

Hello, is there any car database that is useful for configuring the car's stats to real life specs? There are some data in tduf (suspension, ride height, overhang measurements, etc.) that is hard for me to look for and I want the cars to drive as close to real life as possible.
EDIT: Sorry if I did a double post.

So far I haven't seen any bad signs, other than the Epic exclusivity contract. But I give their publisher the benefit of the doubt because its probably a safe business decision to do that atm.
Whats interesting to me is they've really been pumping games out like crazy, and for the most part each one is relatively solid. Not perfect and the post-release support is lacking, but still pretty good efforts given their limited resources. And in contrast to that, they've been very tight-lipped on TDU 3. Even when confirming its development that information looked like it was coaxed out of them. This appears to indicate its going to be their big project, or "the one not to screw up."
For now everything seems alright. The V-Rally, WRC and Isle of Man games all have something in common.. open world areas (in the case of V-rally its a giant map with randomized stages). And physics appear to be improving with each WRC iteration.
