One thing worth remembering is this: the PC version's launch of TDU was 6 months of development on top of a game which was availible on 360 6 months prior, The 360 version was almost as broken as TDU2 is now. Whilst PC gamers will remember hardcore mode being in off the bat, the 360 version had to wait until april (ish) for that, there was also a tweak to the regular handling (it became more grippy, like TC was forced on). The team will be hard at work and there is a chance that the pysics can be salvaged, just like before. I'

I think yahtzee summed it up perfectly when he did a review of minecraft When you have to work for something it makes you value it all the more, with TDU2 after you did the championships with huge bonuses you could buy almost everything you wanted. everything you got after was just 'wouldn't it be nice to have a xxxxx' and the thing is, to get those little extras you have to grind the same low paying races over and over again, all of which pay the same money. Racing the coast of Ibiza/Hawaii should be worth a million each given it's an hour's worth of racing, even without the championship bonus. Edit: an yeah, there's no reward for driving fast. In teh right cars 120mph felt like a real achievement in the first because you were darting around traffic at the limit of adhesion. this time around 120mph feels like 70mph, overtaking is just as routine as it would be on a bypass
  5. Right, here is a list of patch suggestions for TDU2 that the community feels the game needs. Suggestions submitted should be more 'this is what needs to be done' rather than 'this is broken and I want it fixed' Physics Cars have no sence of connection with the driver, needs a proper sense of weight transfer, limits of grip, balance betweeen front and and rear end loss of traction Suspension seems non-existant. cars constantly bottom out, they don't bodyroll, after a jump they don't rebound, and on dirt roads offroaders hop about just like a ferrari does. The game needs a serious patch to get this in Gearbox Automatic selection of gearbox on G25/G27/Fanatec where the game uses paddle shifters for paddle shift cars, and H shifter for manual cars (As in TDU1) Clutch needs better biting point, and more realistic response (impossible to do a smooth start)
  6. I feel smug now then given that I was the only one to actually follow the roads and still came third :P less than a minute after Iced about 20 seconds before TSS and Gill and Loz... yeah, loz arrived in a different decade :p

  9. I wished it was like that, it's a shame it's missing. it's even more of a shame that unless you specifically select the sequential box then you can't drive cars with 7 gears with a G25, due to only having 6 gates.

  20. Worse than TDU1, particularly the original HCM, it simply isn't predictable unless ironically, you're offroad, where pressumably it should be least predictable... Drift physics are terrible, and I don't mean a seperate slidey engine, I mean the cars don't behave enough like a real car to actually get slidey, and when it does the front end is so 'on rails' that countersteering is just plain pointless. In honesty, it's livable, but even at its best it's still excruitiatingly 'meh'. The lack of difficulty makes topping out a car at 190mph feel like a chore rather than a thrill because driving there is no sense of speed at all, and cars don't mess about unless you try to take a 90 degree bend at 200mph (or 20 in a beetle...)

  22. Nice event, but yes, I can see it hacked in about 4 hours xD There is a multiplayer race for the lap of the island IIRC, it would make a good event I think. I used to do something similar on TDU1, usually America Vs Britain themed, where we would have 3 Brit cars from a class, 3 American cars from a class, and then an Italian and a German to mix things up. It used to be pretty good and rather close.

  25. The only time rep should be taken seriously is red, because it means they've annoyed a fair few people.
