Sorry for the long post, but i'll hopefully be able to shed some light on why i think it is best left the way it is now. It all comes down to awareness. Basically Top gear have a font they use for naming there special shows, and that is the font iced has used. If you change that you will lose the brand awareness as it is not as pleasing to the eye, and does not continue with the top gear style. If you want people to recognise it then you should leave it as it is, this is the tried and tested font which had built up a reputation for being on the title's of special top gears.
Just to give a better example, at my work, we have a company logo.
If i was to go in one day and completely change the logo without major public consultation and views then of course the brand awareness would drop. Instead of having well known packaging on the shelves there would be new packaging, which would be confusing to the consumer.
In fact we are currently changing our logo, and we will be featuring the new logo and packaging on our old packaging for three months before making the change over to the new logo and color schemes.
Hopefully in that time the consumers should get used to the new style and we should see no loss in sales.
The point i am trying to make is, if people recognise the font used, they are more likely to see the video as more proffessional and therefore more likely to watch the rest of the video. If the opening title looks a mess, they are less likely to watch the video.
Congratulations if you have read to the end of this post.
