  4. they normally email the labels through very quickly ... I think mine was within the hour!
  5. yes alfa is good ... getting lots of admiring glances !

  6. yeah I heard about this ... well MS couldn't stay with the 'avatar' they have at the moment for long ... don't Sony have a 3d avatar thingy coming out soon the interesting thing will be how you create your avatar and also how you use it ... anyone for a small world where you can just chat to your friends?
  7. Erm you forgot to blank out your number plate in the first pic ... Doh!
  8. haven't checked in this post but something for you keen spotters to look out for Honda / Acura NSX Prototype ... pictures are from somewhere in Germany which looks like it's the Ring ... Mayen is only 17 miles away!
  9. I'm guessing you have the day off as your better half is asking for lunch? has the xbox gone today?

  10. yeah the MkI MR2 was great ... it had adjustable suspension so you could set it up ... and was easy to control with the rear end very predictable ... the most fun I've ever had in a 1.6 powered car!
  11. well I wouldn't have spent my hard earned cash on a new jap car if I didn't like them ... i prefer to call myself a car fanatic rather than a carsnob of any type ... I can name cars I like from most places ... states, euro and jap oh and I really like S2000s and R32s too ... the S2000 was second choice if I hated driving the Alfa
  12. You might want to add a few more points as to why he could be done for treason As to the race ... I bet the French are kicking themselves ... fastest car and it lost ... that's the beauty of Le Mans for you I saw lots of the boys (and girls) from Pistonheads last night driving round the M25 ... big old convoy of cars ...
  13. yeah the pain/joy of alfa ownership ... saw a whole load of pistonhead cars obviously coming back from Le Mans on the M25 last night ... have to admit it's pretty cool when a bloke in a F430 slows down to look at your car :) Oh Top Gear is back at the weekend !

  14. Well I think I told you about the 'small' dent on the bonnet when I picked it up ... hence no pics on this site yet Then at the weekend I played about with setting up the Bluetooth to the phone and played with the stereo and found I had no MW/LW reception ! Then this morning ... lovely sunshine thought I'd drive to work with the roof down ... no such luck ... push the button, my window goes down and there's a 'beep' ... hood operation failed! ... the passenger window is buggered ... it just makes a clicky relay noise! Going to phone them in a sec so they're aware of the extra work before tomorrow

  15. Supercar : a 'Halo' car of an ERA (time period is VERY important)... a car to aspire to that portrays the manufacturers direction ... a car that is not affordable too many ... a car with performance (speed and/or handling) that is in the top group or defines that for it's era ... a car that is a unique design rather than a development of something (unless it's developed from a race car which obviously isn't street legal) ... must be reasonably impractical! I think that'll do as my theory on the definition ... however as mentioned in the other thread it is a Wooly one as things this is a very subjective classification of a car unlike a Hatchback or a Saloon which is very easy to define
  16. In no particular order 1. Jaguar XJR 15 2. Ferrari F430 Scuderia 3. RUF Yellowbird
  17. Oh just so that everyone DOESN'T class me as a Eurosnob ... my car that I've just traded in for the Alfa, and that I owned for 7 years was a Celica ... my car history actually goes ... Mini (proper one not that BMW rubbish) MR-2 MKI T-Bar Fiat Bravo HGT Celica 7th Gen(?) Alfa Spider (946) See not a eurosnob at all
  18. Oh italian car is being proper italian!

  19. well most probs not on now as my dad is going to stop over tonight ... he's doing some MORE tiling (seems never ending) today and tonight we're going to mark things up (shower screens etc) so he's going to stop over

  20. yeah the Rossa would definitely be there ... I remember seeing city boys getting them stuck down some lanes in London! hopefully Drift has got the idea now ... these kids need to read up and watch some proper cars ! I'd recommend watching the openning titles of "The Italian Job" (the one with Mr Caine and NOT Mr Walberg) and "The Cannonball Run" to see some proper cars in action
  21. ahh ... well time to go 'home' to my parents ... most probably at home tomorrow night (only for the night) so a game of UNO if you want?

  22. Diablo - surely the 288 GTO should be on the list as that was the 'halo' car at the time for Ferrari? Drift - the 'problem' with a Z-Tune is that it's a 'tarted up' existing car ... if you notice all the cars both myself and Diablo call Supercars are stand alone vehicles (the only exception being the Yellowbird but lets not go there). I agree with lots of people that Japanese cars have 'fallen under the radar' for not being 'Supercars' but most (if not all) of the recent batch have either been a chuffing quick coupe/saloon and so would be classified as a sportscar A 'Supercar' in the 'true' sense is something a little different ... if you look at Diablos recent list pretty much all the cars are classed as 'halo' cars for the company they are made by ... a 'halo' car being this limited, quick, styled thing that 'showcases' something and is often the leader in it's peer-group for performance (that's speed and handling). To say that a Z-Tune is a 'supercar' because it costs a lot of money and does more than 200mph doesn't work ... I'll give you the example of Bentley ... the current 'Flying Spur' costs over £100k and does over 200mph (I think they've had one at 206mph around Nardo with 4 up!) ... but it's a quick saloon Sorry but it's just a coupe that some boys have played with and made it chuffing fast!
  23. So Xbox been sent off in a lovely box? And what it is with girls putting Xx xX either side of names?

  24. Hi Baldy ... Love the Disco lights ... lol 2 weeks without a 360 isn't too bad ... I survived it when mine had the Reds ... and as Diablo says they were pretty damn efficient in terms of their turn around ... mine reappeared on the day they said it would ... can't beat that for service !
  25. yeah it always gets me on TDU when you have kids moaning about how rubbish the Gullwing is ... obviously got no taste and no car knowledge
