- It couldn't be a 4WD model, If onlllly I was that stable. - I look much older than I actually am, so it couldn't be a MY2016 edition car. - Something stylish yet not too flashy/in your face, but will still have a presence. - Something relatively fast but not modern day supercar quick, I wish I was that athletic. - Something that can be very nice but has a rather nasty and sudden bite (dem hormonez). - Something quite divisive, not quite marmite love-hate but something that a lot of people simply will not get. - Something quite camp but not in your face ermagherd totes yah fabulous. I've come up with this, the Porsche 911 930 Targa, the 930 being the original widowmaker due to how difficult it could be. Let me know if you agree with my findings:

Is that the view from your hotel or from the offices you're working in? Rather cool.

Jesus, the detail of the dirt and water on the back of that GT3 RS is impressive. Stunning entry TDUFREAK, the blurry mixture of cloud and sun at Goodwood really captures the atmosphere of the real thing :nods:

Post One Random Automotive Video Per Day

Jesus, one of the worst crashes I've seen in a while. Li, the driver that crashed into the back and went for a short aerial journey needs surgery on his foot, has fractured 4 vertebrae but they won't need surgery. One of the drivers was unconscious after the crash but not sure which one. 20 years ago I imagine that would have resulted in a funeral or two, jesus. Shows the dangerous side of the sport.- 1,648 replies

Car Spotting: What You Saw Recently! - Part 2
CarMadMike replied to The Queen's topic in Automotive Discussion
Both the GT-S and the F-Type should never have the fixed rear wing option ticked. Jesus. The F-Type SVR's fixed wing isn't too bad a thing as that car is a 200mph+ rarer car and the wing isn't as ugly as the non-SVR fixed wings. They've both got amazing rear ends, and it completely ruins them, especially since they've both got active aero anyway, what's the need? Is it small penis syndrome again?- 3,087 replies

I won. K THX. That subaru still makes me wannnnnnntttt it so badly every time I look at it. -
Holy cow..... The new Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. images from Top Gear | The world’s greatest car website Power boost from 565bhp to 592bhp. When I first saw it my eyes were distracted by those kinda tacky LED fog light things but once I'd become less transfixed on them the car just melted me, it's just, absolutely stunning. I'd say it's got the best side/rear third quarter profile of any car designed/built in the past 20 years. Holy cow.

Yeah the proportions aren't very attractive, I hope it's just a concept thing and it'll be better in the production version even though they look quite final already :hmmm:

2. VANDOORNE Mclaren If this doesn't tell you everything you need to know, then stop following F1 for a few years :p

CarMadMike replied to CarMadMike's topic in Automotive Discussion
Nope, £7500 GBP for all 3, some people have a bit of spare change from that too. I included the currency conversions into AUD etc in the original thread :) About 15k AUD. That being said, some of the cars really are amazing value for money, if you look into the details you'll find ridiculous amounts of KM and scratches but at face value, some of them really are amazing finds. -
CLR posted that a few days ago :p What does everyone think of a 2.0 F-Type? I don't think it's too bad an idea especially since Porsche is essentially everyone's benchmark and the 718 has gone in that direction. They'd better make it sound lurvely though, the sound is one of the best aspects of the F-Type. I'm worried they'll add too many creases/design features on the facelift just to make it different, it'll completely ruin it :(

Hey y'all, Please vote for your fav combo, please re-read the criteria and have a last look at everyone's choices before voting, and you cannot vote for yourselves! :) The voting will close on Friday at 5pm The Scenario (2-3 Vehicles): Average suburban housewivfe needs something with 4WD for those awful dangerous journeys to the school gates to drop off little Clancy for a day of playing Yu-Gi-Oh. Average salesman husband called Dave needs something comfortable-ish to cover the miles, but something which makes him feel like he hasn't sold his soul and lives a semi-exciting life. Bonus car: Surprise me, you don't have to have a 3rd choice but if you manage to get a 3rd exciting vehicle in the garage then you're going to help yourself to victory. 1. It's not really anything that new to F1, look at the '93 Williams:

Great post, that is really appreciated Tom :hi5: First off, that Audi A5 image has worried me slightly, I don't know why i'm surprised that the new A5 is most likely the old A5's design with the new front fascia? I kind of expected it to be a more radical design change for some reason, as in 1st gen TT -> 2nd gen TT. I know it's a new car, not a facelift, but mehhh. We were looking at A5s last year and the only real thing i actively disliked was how outdated the interior felt so maybe with the new interior I'll warm to them again. That RS4 still sounds great, but the RS4 hasn't really been anything that awe-inspiring for a while now, I wonder if the new one will change that. That Audi A8 looks as if someone has glued a Q7 front to a C6 audi A6? Nottttttt looking that promising right now. Meh, January 2018 seems so far away we're still in the first half of 2016, not worth discussing that corvette just yet, but yup I imagine the big 3 in the US will be pushing towards hybrids and EVs even more than they have been due to Tesla's growth. Looking forward to seeing that V40, is it a facelift or a completely 'new' model as they say, doesn't look that different, more aesthetic changes than anything? It'll still make it more of an attractive alternative than ever before.

Closing this in under 2 hours, would be nice if any other members want to join in, if not, make sure you're happy with your decisions people :D
-
Interesting testing going on at Williams: That rear wing would not be legal in 2016, but I wonder if it's something that might be possible in 2017?
-
Not sure it's possible to take it into account, different cultures have different opinions when it comes to negotiating and even then it's all fictitious and any figure discount anyone comes up wouldn't really have much justification.
-
:ytwh: And yup, the 3 i've picked I'd love to own (if they worked :p). This is why I was trying to get CLR to change his MG as I was rather cynical as to whether he'd actually buy one given the money
-
Those MLs are holding their prices rather well for something that looks.... like that :p That IS is aging rather well, really good choice. Stating that your 3rd car is a project car and having spent all your budget doesn't make us any lenient on you :p Should I edit mine and state my MX-5 is a complete project car and that it's going to be turned into a track beast? :cheeky: Always loved those Galants though, they were my fav car to drive in GTA IV haha

Yah I did think there was a Skoda Rapid, was meant to google it but got distracted haha. They really don't sell well in the UK, I've just checked and I'm surprised to see they're actually on sale her, the Fabia does better.- 3,087 replies

What is that colour? :p And WHY?! And why would anyone get an S-Max without alloys, they're not exactly cheap Ssangyong MPVs, they're decent cars! (I know scott hates ford so i'll be in for a bit of h8 later but shush, they're critically acclaimed vehicles :p) What do you mean by Rapid? Aston Martin Rapide? Or is there a car called Rapid that i can't seem to remember right now- 3,087 replies

Good analysis. Chris Harris is blaming Rosberg, Jason Plato is also blaming Rosberg. I think the more people are watching the video and knowing about Rosberg's mode setting mistake they're starting to side with Hammy. I'm happy for Verstappen and he did do well under pressure but I can't seem to warm to him just yet, I think his behaviour in Australia might have something to do with that. Similar entitled petulant behaviour to that which is making me dislike Hammy and Rosberg.
