  1. It depends, I think the images/videos we've seen of the DB11 so far have mainly been in quite cluttered and busy spaces, I think in person and from the normal height people will be looking down at it, it won't look as overstyled as it might first seem. The design of it has grown on me, I think i'd have to get it with the black roof and pillars though, I don't like the silver design idea.
  2. After living in/near Monaco last year I really enjoyed that F1 VIP podcast as I could totally understand what they were talking about haha, it was very entertaining. Did you listen to the Richard Porter TG Script writer podcast? It was really entertaining, you can tell his sense of humour was behind a lot of the best TG jokes haha, he's also the guy from SniffPetrol if anyone follows that blog/twitter account. His manual swap Vanquish is amazing, the main problem with that car was its gearbox, it's a beast now. He said on the latest podcast he's just accepted an offer on the R32 but nothing is finalised. Post screenshots if you want :p But if other accounts get mixed up in them it'll be messy :hmmm:
  3. #BUMP Here are some more drop tops, do you think guys are okay to be seen driving these? (Yeah I know everyone should drive anything they want etc etc etc etc) C Class Cabriolet: 4C Spider: 124 Spider: THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS MIATA: Evoque Cabriolet :p
  4. Hey t:duck:ers! I was wondering what your automotive browser history is like? (No, this is not a thread for hassan to post his entire browser history, dear lord can you imagine the horrors on there?) Whether it is a website, a blog, a youtube channel, an instagram account, a podcast or whatever, recommend something to the rest of us to follow :nods: Let me start: The Smoking Tire: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheSmokingTire I highly recommend this youtube channel, It's run by Matt Farah who you might recognise from the /DRIVE team, he's a very charismatic guy and seems very knowledgeable about what he talks about, but most of all he likes to mess around in cars. He's very much the American equivalent of Chris Harris I think. He releases numerous ONE TAKE videos throughout the week and he also hosts a weekly podcast released every wednesday. The podcast is something I've only gotten into recently but he has some great guests on, the team from Jalopnik, well known people in the Auto Industry, other youtubers, he's had the Script writer from UK Topgear on recently. Each podcast is well over an hour long and a great way to pass some time on a long journey :nods: Let me know if you also listen or have given it a go after reading this. Over to you! Let me know where you recommend we all visit on these vast interwebz :hi5:
  5. Might want to change your signature then :p Just messing haha, how come it's gone? That's a shame :( Anything new in the pipeline as its replacement?
  6. Will those DB9/DBS Astons ever not look absolutely breathtakingly stunning? No matter how many people make Ford Focus/Fusion jokes those Astons still take my breath away every single time, that's before even getting to the sound. Can't say I like those modified 190s, they're a bit in your face and I'd be okay with that if it was an original OEM model, but I appreciate they're expensive, I just don't like the replicas as they just look ricer.
  7. I'm just not sure red works on Mercedes :hmmm: I do like that model SL but with those wheels and that colour..... it's a bit blergh.
  8. :hiya: Welcome to TDUCK, I don't currently play TDU/2 but I'm sure someone who still does will be able to help you out with your online woes :) In the meantime feel free to post around the place and help us to get to know you :D
  9. We transferred to new servers a week or two ago and have been having some teething issues as a result, sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, it's a pain in the arse I know :)
  10. I wasn't aware the GT's rear wing could grow like that  That's so cool, this car is so badass. As with 90% of my configurations in here, the dark grey with black wheels and tinted window combo i put on every car without fail, it means that I'd just do the same as hassan too :p
  11. As aftermarket widebody parts go, that body kit isn't too bad at all, I think i'd have it in a different colour though :p
  12. I'm gonna need some reviews of the AC/Far Cry & Tomb Raider games please Hassan :nods: (In a more appropriate thread). All games I'm interested in myself :hmmm:
  13. I don't have that massive an issue with that 4C tbh CLR, yes, it's not very pretty but it isn't a road car, if it's completely functional then I guess it can be forgiven? If they're hoping to sell hundreds to privateer racers then yeah maybe they'd better sort their design department out, but for a small number functional race car, it's not thaaaat bad.
  14. KAHN Design Land Rover Defender 110  I know it's not as tall/wide/long as a Merc 6x6 but jesus, i'm not sure which one i'd take the keys to haha. Land Rover DEFENDER 110 2.2 TDCI XS 110 Station Wagon - Flying Huntsman 6x6 4dr
  15. Glad to be back :nods: Good work. I bet you never (or deep down were certain) expected it to get over or up to that 72 hours you first put down as the maximum time expected did you? :p Sods law. It's friday tomorrow, make sure to have a well deserved drink :hi5:
  16. Mixed feelings, glad we'll have a motor show back on the TV but the trailer, but none of the challenges/shoots/spy shots that we know of have got me excited at all. They've played it very safe with this trailer, Harris and Reid nowhere to be seen as they're a lot less famous. I agree with D, the less of Chris Evans the better, but I feel that might not be the case, he seems to want his face/voice everywhere on this and that's why it's had so many teething issues.
  17. Just configured a GTC4 Lusso. Absolutely amazing car :hmmm: If I was rich it would be the first car i'd go to buy.
  18. You're on thin ice McAndai. Soundwaves is clearly the best photo and will make a good banner but I just don't think it adheres to the theme. It doesn't really focus on a detail, you can see 95% of the car and a lot of a background too.
  19. If looking at the result and not actually watching what happened during the race is how you make your assumptions then fair enough, your opinion doesn't matter then. Ferrari had a 1-2 in their hands and threw it away themselves. Hamilton failed at overtaking a Toro Rosso. The 'Tag Heuer' engine isn't as weak as it was last year, meaning they're not being overtaken easily either. No, there aren't 8 teams fighting for that pole position but that's a bit too utopian and too much to expect too soon, there was some clear progress made today and it was a great race. Was it a fluke and will the silver arrows be more dominant in bahrain? Who knows, but Bahrain has been home to some of the best races of the decade recently so fingers crossed it will continue to do so.
  20. I guess that is true :hmmm: My main query was as to whether people could see the Mustang taking sales away from a BMW 440i for example. The BMW 440i M-Sport starts at £42k, without any options. I'm willing to guess that the Ford comes with a fair bit of standard kit on the Mustang GT which is £8k cheaper, and you'll most likely be able to knock money off of the list price. Yes you're paying for the posh badge, but the 440i is slower, and a Mustang still has a decent and well known name and as you can above there are no big ford badges on the car. It really is a bargain.
  21. True, but the Golf will look like any other golf to most people, the BMW and TT are ridiculously common, the Camaro is LHD only, the Abarth isn't the same thing at all, the XK is old fashioned and not worth purchasing now the F-Type is around. The only exotic piece of kit there is the nismo 370z. The Mustang is rare on this side of the Atlantic, but many people are aware of its history and reputation, it's a really alternative solution. I'm going to have a look later where i'd spend my 35k :nods:
  22. If you had £30-35,000 in the bank right now, and had to spend it ALL on ONE new car, where would your money go? The reason I ask is that Ford is finally putting it's weight behind pushing the Mustang as a european-friendly car, even to the point there are RHD models available for us brits. The reason the Mustang has been so popular throughout the past half century is its incredible value-for-money, and the new one seems to stray true to that. There are two choices here in Britain: Fastback Coupé prices start at £30k, or the Convertible for +£4k. 2.3 Litre four cylinder Ecoboost Engine (£30k) - 300bhp - 407Nm of torque - 0-60 in 5.4 seconds - Not sure about MPG yet 5.0 V8 Engine (£34k) - 412bhp - 524Nm of torque - 0-60 in 4.8 seconds - Not great MPG It's a legendary car with so much history, it's got decent performance, it's more europeanised than ever. It's pretty much a bargain, but WOULD YOU? Or would your money go elsewhere? If so, what would you get? Please post a comparison below :D
