Take out the blank line. That might help as I can see 4 lines there. I think the Xbox tag thing counts for more than 1 line. Im not sure.

You can link your PS2 controller to your PC's USB ports using this handy gadget - http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/114167/Play-com-USB-Dual-PS2-to-PC-Convertor-XP/Product.html There are quite a few of them around, so maybe that one isn't the best ... I use one for my PC and they work with TDU :)

TDU Guys = HSVs_SEXY_TIME on these forums. and if he does drive at a contastant slow speed, he is either in a slow car :p or has a wheel. I don't actually think he has a wheel. anyway .. there is no such thing as cruise control unfortunately. But you can either use pedals from a steering wheel. or the joy sticks from a PS2/3 or X360 controller. Or any other game pad for that matter. E: just read he does actually have a keyboard ... so to keep a slow constant speed, you need to tap the accelererate button,, not hold it down Hope this helps :)

Nugget!!!! You're the 400th reply :p That doesn't count the first post! :D Another contender?

TDU:C Celebration Cruise II - 7th March '08
Iced_Bullet replied to Iced_Bullet's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I think it was only because of that petrol station polava that the idea of me filming went down hill. I've still got around 25 mins (from 2.5 hours) of decent video to cut down ... I think i'll cut out quite a bit for youtube ... but make an extended HQ version lol! And this one has gone a lot quicker only about 2/5 hours to make :) -

Yeah OK. How about ... We have a speed limit of 150mph. However you can occasionally break that (ie. to film) or just to drive with someone else ... so we get some nice overtaking and if you do get overtaken, it doesn't matter, you don't have to break the speed limit too, just carry on as you were :) Then if that is a success, then maybe after that we could do dummit like these ... ie: treating it like your own, and on the bumpy bits, you're afraid that you will damage your car, so you slow down ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV43F2bVLEU -

I didn't think there was a speed limit last time. ah well. Next time people will just have to be nice and wait. /yes a few of you did, but not everyone. It's better when we're all driving together at high speed and i get close up bum shots of people ;) -

Iced_Bullet replied to Iced_Bullet's topic in Driving & Racing Games
No. As the first Celebration Cruise had no road rules. What went wrong this time was people not slowing down if they got too far ahead. Even when we'd stop for me to film. Everyone would drive off and leave me when I had no GPS on or Names visible. Last time, we had a mixture of A class down to C. Meaning Speed who was in the SLR, went at a slower space. This is, imo, what went wrong this time. Even though I said at the beginning, people just didn't slow down and wait for the rear people. @ Everyone ... You don't actually have to stop ... just slow down to let people catch up. You could just do road rules until people are "almst" together. -

Iced_Bullet replied to Iced_Bullet's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Yeah :( I think next time we need to sort out on here what we will be doing before we get in-game. In other words, sort out rules etc ... for driving and for picture taking. Just goes to show how good the other one was, as it still hasn't been beaten in "bestness" -

You could always just swap the alfa body with a faster car, so it gives you the illusion you're driving it :p -

Hopefully it will be good :p I'm filming it again and making another set of videos :) I'll try and edit down the amount of clips of just me driving this time though. -

Iced_Bullet replied to Leadfoot[YT]'s topic in Driving & Racing Games
As I've on Atari. Nice vids. You should make an 'introduce yourself' thread. So people can say 'hi' properly :D Anyway, for your vids .... in the url of each video ... there is some code after the 'v=' copy the deries of characters after 'v=' and copy them inbetween the youtube tags [tube*][/*tube]. Without the *. -
Edit your post. Click on the white thing, and click delete. Simple really

In this series of threads, I'm listing and giving tutorials on how to improve your game-play. These are not instructions, or officially related to Atari in any way. They are tutorials created by me, for the sole purpose of giving you the chance to improve your gameplay. I take no responsibility in your game going corupt or damaged. I cannot be help responsible for damages to game files or profiles. However this is highly unlikely to happen ;) Anyway, on with the tutorial of Engine Damage Moding ... There's no need to back anything up. But back-up your profile just as a precaution, and just incase something unrelated happens, meaning you loose your progress. -------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- In this thread: Damage Mod. Stalling the engine. [this post] -------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- Damage Mod (not physical, only engine wise): *************************** ************************************ Warning [Damage Mod]! - Beta version. It will be buggy and might not even work at all on your system. - May be picked up by TDU anti-cheat detection!!!! - Recomended for OFFLINE USE Online use may result in IP or Account banning* ************************************ *************************** I will not be downloading this, as you have to run another .exe application along with TDU.exe, therefore I'm not trusting it, however you can do it if you want. Other people have been using it, and havn't encountered a problem. Download here - http://personal.inet.fi/koti/vfgdfg/tdumod.htm - Engine gets damaged on impact (performance degrades) - Tires/brakes might also get partially stuck - Hard impact kills the engine/car completely and car needs to be changed - You may get away with no damage in small impacts - Makes driving more thrilling and challenging lifelike experience - Offroad surfaces slow down the car and are harder to drive on - Cars that have automatic gearbox (Chrysler 300C, Firepower, MB SL65 AMG, CLS 55 AMG, - Cadillac XLR-V, Chevrolet SSR) are actually automatic. Does not modify your TDU folder, the mod is one exe file which runs beside your game - Start the game by running tdumod.exe or you can start tdumod after starting TDU Works with retail 1.66a version - Works online - Use hardcore mode with tdumod for the intended experience - New features might be added in the future if there is intrest in the mod. Video: *************************** ************************************ Warning [Damage Mod]! - Beta version. It will be buggy and might not even work at all on your system. - May be picked up by TDU anti-cheat detection!!!! - Recomended for OFFLINE USE Online use may result in IP or Account banning* ************************************ ************************ *** Thanks to vfgdfg for the video and for creating the files and .exe.

Manually Changing File Colours: Click to Enlarge Both http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/thf430_Car_Body_Mod.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/thdtm_Car_Body_Mod.jpg Make sure you back up everything, unless you want to have to reinstall TDU when you decide the paint doesn't look good. Please note that you will have to look at the in-game names for the paint, so you know which ones to change around :) You will need to make sure you have the .bnk un/repacker installed. you can find it here - [Download v.1] For example, if you want to get a Orange colour for your any of your Ferrari: Step 1 Open the Bnk File Editor Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_1-1.jpg[/imglink] Step 2 Click Open and navigate to C:/Program Files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/BNK/Database Then Open the file relevant to your play. so for me, I will open DB_US, as I play the English/american Version of TDU. If you're playing the French version/language, open the DB_FR etc. Step 3 This is exactly what you should see (regardless of your version of TDU):Now, Click on 'TDU_CarColours' and then once that is selected, then on 'Extract File' Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_2-1.jpg[/imglink] Step 5 Navigate to C:/Program Files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/BNK/Database and open the folder which has just been created. for me, it was DB_US. Inside this folder, there should be a file called 'TDU_CarColours.us'. Open this in NotePad or WordPad. Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_3-1.jpg[/imglink] Step 6 To make the Ferraris (painted in Nero Black paint), into Orange, I will change the line '{N_F01} 54066127' to '{N_F01} 56066127' and the line '{O_01} 56066127' to '{O_01} 54066127'. In otherwords I am swapping the numbers of the and the Black Paint code over. Note that the 'N_F' relates to the colour Nero Black and the car manufacture Ferrari, and O stands for Orange :p [use this Colour Chart for Colour Code References!!] ************* IMPORTANT, you MUST actually swap the colours over, not just copy and replace one of them. Otherwise TDU will not start. ************* Step 7 Save this file. Step 8 Back in the Bnk File Editor, select 'TDU_CarColours' and click on 'Replace File'. Navigate to C:/Program Files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/BNK/Database and open the folder where the 'TDU_CarColours.us' has been saved. Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_4-1.jpg[/imglink] Step 9 Click 'OK' on the following warning message. Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_5-1.jpg[/imglink] Step 10 Click 'Save Bnk' and now, the changes should apply when you next start TDU up. Click to Enlarge [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/Bnk_6-1.jpg[/imglink] Thanks to Carcol German pdf D'load for the method and for the Ferrari in-game picture and Cornsn for the DTM in-game picture.

Car Body Swaps (Lazy way of painting unpaintable cars): This mod effectively swaps the body structure of 2 cars around, therefore allowing the colour of one car to be on another. So you could end up with a Lamborghini with an Adui TT's performance. Click to Enlarge both [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/th880GTO_Car_Body_Mod.jpg[/imglink] [imglink]http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/Test%20Drive%20Unlimited/Mods/th8C_Car_Body_Mod.jpg[/imglink] Make sure you back up everything, unless you want to have to reinstall TDU when you decide the paint doesn't look good. Importnant Note The file you're COPYING, cannot be bigger in file size, only exactly the same or smaller. For example, if you want to get a Maserati MC12 with the colour of your Gallardo SE, you have to go to 'C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicules' Step 1 Back-up the 'Gall_SE.bnk' and then delete the original file Step 2 Right click the 'Mas_MC12.bnk' file and click Copy Step 3 Paste the 'Mas_MC12.bnk' file into the same folder and rename it to Gall_SE.bnk Start the game and see your swap. If it doesn't work or crashes the game, put your backed up Gall_SE.bnk file into the C:/Program Files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/BNK/Vehicules directory. If the computer asks you if you want to replace the files, click Yes. That will make your Gallardo look like a Gallardo again. Thanks to HappyTreeFriend for the method ; desrat for alerting and Ferrari in-game picture and SLR_mates for Alfa 8C in-game picture
