  1. Lotus have always made their own engines, but usually used Ford bottom ends, and they still do make their own engines. The only car they don't have their own engine in is the US-spec Lotus Elise, which uses a Toyota engine only to pass US emissions laws. But you're right, no company really uses their own countries/companies parts anymore.
  2. Nice pics, was going to go to it but my friend went last year and I heard it's just so much money considering I can get into Santa Pod or Silverstone for £10 and make more of a day of it. Plus it's more of a euro-fest. Some nice shots there though, hope you had fun :D.
  3. I voted pyrre, but Ringo's is good too ;).
  4. Did you try opening the ports I told you?
  5. Ok, first go to Command Prompt (in accessories in Vista, in XP go to Run and type cmd) In the box that comes up, type ipconfig Look for your IP Address in all the stuff that comes up (e.g. mine is 192.168.0.1, it will look like that) Now, go into whatever internet browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, w/e) In the URL Address bar type the IP Address you found in ipconfig and press enter You should be required to log in, so just type the username and password for your router Once you are in, look for any menu that allows you to allow ports (e.g. mine is in a menu called 'Services') Once you are in the menu that allows you to add ports, allow these ports: TCP/UDP 9962 UDP 8880->8889 UDP 8890 UDP 27000->30000 TCP 6667 TCP 27000->30000 You have to open the following local port: TCP8889 Ports 17475 and 9961 (TCP/UDP) must be opened. Then just click save (or exit, whatever your router says below all the ports) and exit the internet browser Now try TDU online, and it should hopefully work. If it doesn't, PM me and i'll help you through some more ways.

  6. Nah, pretty sure it was based on the V8 Vantage considering the DBS is the same size as the V8 Vantage and the DB9 is a bit longer. And I seem to re-call someone doing this a while ago...
  7. Well, 80% of it is, but they still make their own parts, they're just funded by Proton. But apparently there are thoughts of both of them being sold off to VeeDub soon anyway, so we'll have nothing left :(.
  8. Fallout 3, don't even THINK about GRiD. I might pick up Mirrors Edge soon though, waiting for a demo, or if there is one, going to look for it on the PlayStation Store now :D.
  9. I guess a lot of people are buying them for a pop factor, or because they are a "Mini", even though they aren't anymore, they're just a deformed BMW. And it just shows even more how much the English motor industry has died. The ONLY bit of motoring that is English we have still is Lotus :(.
  10. Saw a load of videos of it from the SEMA show a few days ago, my dad wants an LS7 one :D (he loves Bumblebee from Transformers).
  11. Brilliant, the first DiRT was a great game, hopefully the new one will be just as good :D (and include a Sierra RS500 and Evo X this time). I hope it's released as Colin McRae DiRT 2 in the US this time though, last time it was just "DiRT" and since Colin McRae had just died before it was released I found that a bit dis-respectful, showing he had already been forgotten out there :(.
  12. Yeah, it's VERY nice, may download in a sec, but is there going to be a normal version too, not just a Police one?
  13. VERY nice, may have to download it and go buy a CLK DTM now ;).
  14. I wouldn't recommend the McLaren F1 LM, but the RUF RT12 is a good idea, but the RTurbo is a better one :p.
  15. Ok, yeah, I do have DJey's magic map, ok, thanks a bunch. It's still a bit weird that it caused my game to think it has a Gallardo Coupe & McLaren F1 GT in it :p.
  16. I hope Mini would just die. I'm in love with the old Austin Minis, but these fugly BMW pieces of junk are terrible. They're fugly, they don't sound nice, they aren't overly quick, and they boast a price tag you could find yourself with a Mercedes C180 Kompressor with. AND they're not even small. EDIT: 1111 Posts :p.
  17. Yeah, I can see them, cheers Iced.
  18. Hey, So I was cruising a bit this morning and drove to one of my houses. About 10 minutes later, I came back and went to the map to figure out where to go next when I discovered one of the Lamborghini dealerships had 4 cars, and I didn't remember the Miura being in a main dealership, so I decided to investigate. I went inside the Lamborghini dealership to find myself at the selection of a Murcielago Coupe, a Gallardo Spyder, a Gallardo SE, and a Gallardo Coupe. However, it SAID Gallardo Coupe at the top, and had all the specs and everything, but there was no car. So I right-clicked to look around and it wouldn't let me, so I clicked Test Drive. It crashed. A bit later, I went to the TVR dealership, but while looking for it, I found the megapack dealership with the F1 GT & the T440R in it, but with only a McLaren sign. I went inside, and the same thing with the Gallardo Coupe, I had a selection of a McLaren F1 GT there, that's all. With all specs and everything, but again not letting me look at it. So I clicked Test Drive again, it crashed again. I have a Vehicles folder from a megapack TDU, so I went inside it, fetched the Gallardo_Cpe.bnk & Gallardo_Cpe_I.bnk and threw them straight into my non-megapack TDU Vehicles folder (the one I am using). I then just copied the Gallardo_Rst_audio.bnk and renamed it to Gallardo_Cpe_audio.bnk and put that in too. Fired back up TDU, went to the Lamborghini dealership, and it worked. I had a selection of the usual cars and the Gallardo Coupe, full Gallardo body and interior, let me look at it, sound was working when I revved it, so I clicked Test Drive, and it let me. But after 1 minute of test driving it I got a notice come up saying: "Downloaded content not saved, disconnected" and it disconnected me. I still have the Gallardo Coupe files in the game, but haven't put the F1 GT files in yet incase anyone needs some proof of the Gallardo Coupe there and no McLaren F1 GT. My main point of this thread is to ask, what's going on?
  19. I reckon it will definetly beat the Cayman, no doubt, and I think might be up to par with the M3, doubt it will beat it though. Then again, we'll see how things compare when the Nismo 370Z S-Tune is released...
  20. I think it looks very nice, will go up to the Porsche dealership up the road when it's released and sit in it for the day :D.
  21. I'd love to have a 370Z in game, one of my favourite cars at the moment, can't wait for it to arrive in the UK, will be pretty big in the modified car scene over here in 2009, we've already started modifying GT-Rs :D.

  23. That's brilliant thinking, most people are just concerned with looking like a pro. Such as Viper drifters, sure, they look like pros because the car slides so much and makes so much smoke, but if you actually take it to the track and try drifting it yourself you will see how little skill it takes at all. And as for your video, you're getting better and you're not jumping off the throttle as much anymore, keep up the good work mate ;).
  24. Looks like a good thread, basically the same as the Time Attack I hosted a few of this year, will post some times later.
  25. Looking very nice right now mate, good luck on it, can't wait for a release ;).
