  1. I think despite being public, members can still choose to join to receive notifs. Being public means that forum members can see which gaming events are being planned without having to join.
  2. Good to know, although I'm more likely to create them from scratch, as there is no other calendar with the info to import them from.
  3. On Feb 19 cross-platform clubs and parties arrive in Rocket League. If you want to represent the duck as you go about winning RL matches left right and centre, post below with your Steam name (or RocketID after Feb 19) and I'll invite you to join club TDUC. All those other players without a club will be jealous when they see that you belong to a club and must have many friends to play online with. If you want to organise matches with other TDUCK members (myself included) this is the place to do it.
  4. I would lean towards no. Those who love dark mode (in general) are more likely to go looking for it.
  5. This update will allow you to invite friends to your Party from other platforms so that you can take on the world together.
  6. Check my screenshot above, the B for toggling bold font is the first item there. No Source button.
  7. Not seeing an 'edit source' button anywhere
  8. It seems that if I edit a Calendar entry where the details (post) contains a Quote, I can only edit the contents of the quote but not the surrounding text.
  9. Story from IGN - https://au.ign.com/articles/2018/12/07/crash-team-racing-remaster-announced-release-date-revealed
  10. Is that visible to us anywhere? I didn't notice anything on Discord.
  11. The eSports team at Slightly Mad Studios have lifted the lid on another round of competition, featuring multi-class racing. Recognised Pro teams have been invited to join the tournament in GT3 cars, while all other PC players can register to fill the remaining 30 grid spots in Touring Cars, a first for the series. The Community Events section of the game will soon host qualifying rounds to find these 30 challengers. Even if you're not a big eSports fan, it's always fun seeing how fast you are against a large pool of players. Have a gander and scroll down on this page to view the details and submit your registration for the Challenger class: https://www.projectcarsesports.com/smsr2019.html Oh, and the series prize pool is a cool €20,000.
  12. I usually go Dark theme but found this one is a little too reliant on 'black'. Perhaps try looking at other dark themes how the use a combination of black and greys for a 'softer feel'. You can go to Google image search and enter 'dark theme' for examples.
  13. Many will also be wondering how the heck you became an admin here (to be fair maybe they think the same for me) haha. At least one thing hasn't changed - Milli GIFs!
  14. Perhaps slightly more useful... actually I think this would be very useful, from any page you can create a thread (Topic) then select where it should go: Most forums have an Activity stream that shows all new posts but here you can create your own and fully customise it: Very cool... (or nerdy, take your pick)
  15. Discovered Lyrics, and a StopWatch...
  16. The previous times this was discussed I never really said much because I don't browse the mod shop any more (although I still have my favourite mods on my home PC). For the past few years, we went in one direction and the forum activity hasn't been great. So my last post could be read as "I'm happy to try something different and see if activity improves". (Of course, there is more to improving activity than just that).
  17. Perhaps it possible (and nearly ethical) to have multiple classes here: * Promoted mods (threads) from the authors who want the credit (and have working links) * A large, somewhat unrefined archive/collection of old TDU mod files from our collective HDDs with no credit, fancy images, or installation support. Not designed as a "pack" but more-or-less as a 'data dump'. tduck's approach wouldn't be to promote them but say "hey here's a bunch of old mod files we found, maybe they will work if you download a copy." We could also do our best to contact some of the old modders and let them know what we want to do. If they object then that's fine; if we hear nothing back then we'll proceed. If they come back later then we can follow their wishes. This is just an idea only. I've uploaded free stuff to the Internet before. And there was a time when I tried to ask some communities to remove their copy of the files (as I only wanted them in one place where I could release updates and remove old versions). I was happy that most people I wrote to, while disappointed, were happy to comply. But at the same time I knew that once you put something on the Internet, you're unlikely to be able to remove all traces of it.
  18. This design looks a bit better than those other towers:
  19. The game plans make sense, all of the sim goodness and sandbox from pC2 are still there, but being dressed up more with gamey presentation features similar to Shift/Forza Motorsport. The previous games were lacking there. The console news has spread to all sorts of tech websites but it still makes no sense. I get wanting to set a cat among the pigeons to cause a jump in performance, but specs alone do not sell consoles to gamers. It's about the whole experience, the available games, the platform/network that your friends are already on, the gamepad, etc. Those who want a high-spec gaming machine in their lounge room can already go out and get a PC for that purpose. I can't see them saving us that much money due to not selling enough units, and the general consensus in other news websites comments is the same - no one is expecting this to succeed. The specs might sound good now but in 3 years time when this thing releases I'm sure it'll be much more meh, and new consoles from MS/Sony will be close enough. Or maybe they feel the need to do this because mainstream consoles are looking to stream their games from the cloud by then instead of selling them. And streaming racing games with racing wheels doesn't work too weel.
  20. Looks like 'Rushy' (Paul R) from I think Driveclub and 8 others of that team have joined SMS recently. Also it looks like they are also working on their own 'competitive' console with free game engine supporting 4K and Vr at 60 FPS Slightly Mad Studios Confirms New Project CARS Title is In Development I'm still trying to make sense of it all...
  21. Haha I got a few birthday emails too from various forums.
  22. That's the Diablo we know and love  Don't forget your long anniversary speech duties for early February ;)
  23. My screen is 100hz which so far is plenty for me (but also 21:9)
  24. Worth a watch, some nice close calls there
