  1. It's worth adding this quote from this interview:
  2. Don't know how I missed this item, think I'll have to fix up my subscriptions. I was hoping it would be on PC until I remembered I now have the other consoles... whoops. :)
  3. Nice bike. I have friends who do a bit of dirt biking. I tend to think of things for the first time when typing up a post, and then just type in those thoughts as well, as you've witnessed above with the dirt bikes idea :)
  4. That's nice and all, but one day some guy in a Holden Commodore is going to smoke you at the lights. I couldn't live with that, nor am I fan of the colour. Maybe TDU2 will have kit cars (I heard stuff about finding wrecks offroad to 'build' a car that you can't buy from the showroom).
  5. A little off topic, but I reckon I'd be happier in EA released more cars and tracks for Shift this year instead of a new game that's probably going to be arcadish. (It wasn't easy playing Burnout Paradise or Undercover with a steering wheel, put it that way). Most games with with car damage that include bikes tend to just make rider fall off the bike when hit hard. I guess the metal exterior of the bike would get scrateches from scraping along the road when you fall off. Rain can wash your car, there might be car washes, but what happens if your helmet gets dirty... and will there be any dirt bikes in the game (proper ones, not generic stuff)? Not that I know my bikes or anything
  6. Did any of you guys read the (one of many) stupid posts on the TDU2 forums where they guy said they should base the time zone offsets on the telephone country code? I wasn't surprised to see that he came from the same place as Mr Bush :)
  7. I'm sure info about E3 will pop up in my Google Reader subscriptions. YouTube is your friend (most of the time).
  8. Didn't TDU1 have motion blur as well (at least the PC version did). I thought there was only one yacht for sale.. Maybe you can buy 10 all in different colours??? :)
  9. That's why I'm not linking to TDUC in my signature over there
  10. Hehe, I noticed Minecraft as one of the games listed in the Xfire support update today. Graphics remind me of a lot of old games I used to enjoy playing.
  11. I've got a Nokia N96 which is great (besides the interface). The plan runs out this November, around the time when the new Windows 7 Series phones are supposed to come out. If any of them have better hardware than the N96, and have a decent Nokia Maps alternative, then I might switch.
  12. Remove the cars altogether and just show us more of the environment... I already know what a Q7 looks like  Nice pics though.
  13. I downloaded the 720p version to my PC yesterday and watched it again and for some reason enjoyed it more than the first time I saw it.
  14. I don't suppose anyone would like a copy of this article in PDF format for whatever reason? http://www.adrive.com/public/9927875a1771db5d18cb2f31a6a2e1e9a3d209a851e23214e616450acd765338.html It's ~11mb due to the large image scans from the first post. If the link breaks after a few weeks and you need it, PM me and I'll fix it up
  15. Reason #101 to carry a passenger in TDU2 - so he can pay for the petrol for your Ford GT when you run out of money :p
  16. Yeah, I can't wait to find out the details about the police
  17. You could get a 26" computer monitor with HDMI intputs and a TV Tuner card for your PC so that you can watch and record TV like a PVR. The combined cost might even be cheaper than a TV, not sure. It depends if you have a computer nearby. I've got a LG brand HDTV which I'm happy to recommend. I've heard good things about Samsung too
  18. Welcome to TDUC Am I the only one who can't get a certain Elton John song out of my head now? :(
  19. Hehe, I remember asking friends occasionally to grab a car with a ramp-like bonnet so I could jump over certain fences or obstacles in TDU, that was pretty much the only good thing about the moon gravity :) I was actually in the car that time, helping Dan/Bimmer into the south-west airport when he was new to the Euro forums. I'm not sure if that trick will work in TDU2 with damage enabled :o
  20. Love the outside club-house shot
  21. The car got slower as you picked up more damage in FUEL until the car was totaled and you were reset. I'm not fussed whichever way TDU2 goes as far as damage goes.
  22. You don't see baloon notifications when in full screen applications or games (unless your video card drivers are dodgey)
  23. Set Windows to ask you before updating. Problem solved.
  24. Ok, that's fine. How would setup the option though. Keep in mind that Eden are avoiding menus as much as possible. Maybe it could be automatically decided depending on how many online players you're cruising with or how many you are locked to. There would have to be an Options menu when you press Start/Escape where it could be toggled. You could enable or disable it by pressing a button on the keyboard. I would be happy to disable fuel when playing by myself, but having to stop when cruising with friends, even if it is sometimes a chore, adds more realism to the cruise, and for better or worse, that's what I'm personally hoping to see in TDU2. I'll only be doing races and what not for maybe the first 30% of time I spend playing the game, the rest will just be cruises (I think, unless new game modes or challenges form DLC, or Eden host their own tournaments).
  25. There's not that many mountains in the game though. You could, for example have one either end of Mt Kelekole (in the neighboring towns of Schoefield Barracks and... the other one, Waipahu or something I think). You could have a few along the Fergus route... one here for example: [imghttp://lh4.ggpht.com/_C0PrNGg_f9I/SxrYrdmguzI/AAAAAAAAE48/PhDT1BbSt-A/s400/20091205141414.jpg[/img] They don't need to be massive petrol stations that don't exist in real life. Something like this: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Melbourne+Cbd,+Australia&ll=-37.948699,145.5376&spn=0,0.008234&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=-37.948623,145.537526&panoid=lywENHKsy_hQOd2a-uXm-A&cbp=12,92.69,,0,4.02
