  1. Only one I know of was Sled Storm, but that was on PSX. Not bad either. I should get it running on the emulator again.
  2. I'm guessing when you're driving you won't see most 'real pedestrians'. Either that, or collisions will be disabled for unless the car is stationary (have you ever walked into a parked car before?) I'd prefer the second option, but with the whole 8 players while driving would probably limit the number of real live pedestrians you would see (unless you can have up to 8 cars and 24 pedestrians together = the max 32 people figure we've heard before).
  3. Would be cool if our avatars on the forums could show our in game number plates (if they're different to our forum names) (not that we couldn't do a mspaint job now)
  4. Which group would the ice cream van be in? Group H, along with the dump truck, fire engine, street cleaner, uhhh, tank, nah better not...
  5. I went driving through the mountains near where I live yesterday... definitely would not want to go off when I'm (legally) doing up to 100kph on those twisty roads. Here's an example of where I get to drive when I fancy a real-life cruise (although I'm pretty sure this guy is speeding) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bfCE6obeZs
  6. There's nothing wrong with variety or having options. I'd eventually get around to trying out the car's from the 90's. If people want to cruise in a supercar with others who are in supercars, all they have to do is create a cruise in the forums here (or the official forums) or make use of the club features. That said, I don't want NFSUG style old cars that can be upgraded so that they perform like supercars.
  7. Great idea, then I could pick my own number plate, like TDU 505 ;) (j/k) Would probably just put my alias name on my plates.
  8. I'd rather just have one button that takes care of the whole 'getting out of car and locking it' procedure tbh. In an Automatic Transmission car (not Semi-Auto) though, I agree that the Gear Up/Down buttons should move the gears between P, N, R, D, 1, 2 instead of just shifting between reverse and gears 1 to 6.
  9. Anyone who's ever done serious offroading in TDU will tel you that as soon as the car is almost upside down, the car will be reset onto its wheels in the same position. If you were trying to go down a hill, it takes ages, because you are always being reset in the same place. If you were allowed to flip and roll, you would crash your way down the hill in seconds.
  10. What about the Southern Hemisphere (Dec-Feb)? (Or are you being specific to Ibiza) :) Also you had Saving the Environment listed twice for two slightly different things, not sure what you want to call the second instance.
  11. Yeah, well, if the 360 and FM3 supported the G25 then I would've bought both of those items too by now. Tsk, tsk.
  12. Some of the ideas are brilliant. Let's see if I can think of any... Fighter pilot: Get 3 G's in a corner Nagging wife: Be a passenger for 100 miles (no offense intended) Escape artist: Perform a J-Turn during a police pursuit and evade Generous: Give 100 hitch-hikers (be it TDU1-style missions or a taxi service for online players who have walked a bit far from their cars) a ride to their destination. Massive fan: Play the game for 5,000 hours (208 days/0.57 years) Invisible: Drive for an entire (in-game) night with your headlights turned off. Stuntman: Jump onto a building and stop without falling off it. Tony Hawk: Grind a rail/barrier fence Top Ground Gear Force: Destroy someone's garden. Hopefully the PC has 'trophies' without using Microsoft GFWL.
  13. I'd edit the last line before someone with a banning stick sees it (surprised there wasn't a filter for that)
  14. There were 4 custom stations with up to 32 tracks each. Yes it was pathetic, but I wasn't denying its existance. /ot
  15. I'd obviously love the instant replay (TDU1 was supposed to have it enabled if you dig around the files on your HDD, there's a recorded tutorial WAV file describing it). Besides having a (30-60 second IR available (with choice of multiple camera views to use with Fraps or the like), you should be able to hit a Record Now button, which records everything from that point forward until you hit stop. Then you can choose your custom replay views. It doesn't need a full on editor or recorder, that's what FRAPS and Sony Vegas Pro (or whatever software you use) does best. Just make sure we can hide the HUD on all the various replays and other scenes.
  16. TDU1 did have a radio function
  17. Why don't we add the Great Wall dealership as well while we're at it??? :) (Chinese car company that recently started exporting to Australia). Sure, TDU2 needs a Saturn Sky replacement, which is why I said yes for the Sandero (+ TG references), but I'd rather have good slow cars if possible rather than Cheap'n'Cheerful ones ;)
  18. I think underpowered hot hatches (is that a paradox) would be great for the cobblestone Ibiza towns, a bit like the Minis in The Italian Job.
  19. +1 for the idea of being able to flip or roll your car. Since offroad exploration is encouraged this time, I can only assume that they will have to allow this.
  20. All that is needed are rally cars for high-speed racing and 4WDs for exploration.
  21. Definitely PC, then I might also get a PS3 version when the price comes down or if the game is slightly different on the console (as it was on the PS2).
  22. A new version of O'ahu could be a DLC option for a legacy option available to those who want it. Then they could uninstall TDU1 if they wanted (or just keep the Snow or Alpine or Tropical or HD version with their favourite mods). How to transition? You could either just have a little arrow button on the map screen that points in the direction of the other island to take you to it's map screen. You could use a plane or helicopter. If they did, it would be cool if it started off with a cutscene, but then for a small aircraft it gives you the controls just as you near the island (you then just have to worry about landing the aircraft) at your choice of runway. Since most of us don't fly with a G25, you could use a simple mouse guidance setup, where you steer with the mouse and use a few keyboard controls. Yes it's over the top, but it would be cool and I wouldn't have to launch FSX so often.
  23. Press WinKey+D Right-click your Desktop, and choose NVIDIA Control Panel Click the Manage 3D Settings link on the left side Click the Program Settings tab Find or add the TDU exe file to the drop-down list and select it Change the settings below REMEMBER - you need to scroll down and find & click the Apply button, otherwise nothing changes. Do not change too many things at the same time, otherwise your FPS will drop significantly and you won't know which setting caused it. Start off with Anti-Aliasing, Anistropic filtering, and set the AA Transparency to SuperSampling if you have a good graphics card and PC setup. Test at 8x, if things are ok, try at 16x, then if you want you can try at 32x if you have a very fast PC.
  24. Woah - that's almost a new map. I had to think twice about where that lighthouse pic was taken from :)
  25. Leadfoot isn't filming his own car - he just goes to bumper view (as explained), turns off the HUD, and tells the stunt drivers to... ...overtake ...drift ...etc while he films while driving or parked from the side of a road. Check out the link in my sig for more videos.
