  1. I like how you ask us and you're one of maybe 3 people here who have an Xbone and FM5 :) If you've got unlimited Internet quota you could try looking to delete the cache for that game and start over.
  2. Everyone has been giving away thousands of easy keys all week - where have you been?
  3. It was a random guy I was following. If it was a mate I wouldn't have stopped to think about it :cheeky:
  4. Maybe we'll need to go all out on those weight reduction kits :p (to replicate TDU1's hardcore mode)
  5. You guys already know that I can sometimes be pretty , but this just takes it to a whole new level  It felt like quite some time of me deliberating over 'should I?' or 'shouldn't I?'
  6. Well since everyone else draws comparisons with pCARS... SMS have over 100 employees and 80,000+ WMD members (not all of them actively contributing assets), but it's enough for them to have new builds out every day. Kunos only have a handful of staff. Licensing and laser scanning would have eaten up the majority of their funds. They've been relying on the modding community a lot, so I would have expected them to focus more on the framework as you say. Who knows... but if you asked me a year or more ago I would have expected a final release by the end of this year (of course with active development continuing). But it's still very much pre-release in terms of features and quality in the context of an overall 'game'. In part the community have done this to themselves, we're more than happy to pay for 'early access' and assume devs will deliver on promises. Whereas if we never heard of a game we wouldn't necessarily know if it was delayed and therefore wouldn't mind. I'd never call AC arcade. There is some stuff I like about it, but I'll admit the physics do seem a little odd to me at times.... but of course... it's pre-release. So I don't play it much for now and hope it'll be great s**n.
  7. Good point, I hadn't even bothered to read them. Maybe they are the names of developers/employees.
  8. Pete usually makes me smile with some of his lines but I was properly laughing at the 'damage sounds' chat
  9. Doesn't change the fact that you can't break traction with full throttle though. Yes there are skidding sounds but it requires no corrective input.
  10. For those who know about 'Fergus Pass' in northern O'ahu... looks like it's making a return in TC Rather than unlocking/discovering tiny sections of road at a time like in TDU1, you unlock square zones/tiles, which should be much easier when it comes to getting 100% (except that you need to unlock the offroad zones as well)
  11. btw we have a dedicated TC Pics thread Brian
  12. Can I nominate Mercedes-Benz for NoTW  Are these all the players? And how do we choose our icon? I'm only doing this because there's an achievement for scaring 1 million pedestrians... honest
  13. I can see the closed beta forums when I'm not logged in, but when I log in they disappear.
  14. Changing my wheel rotation from 900 to 600 has made the car handling more lively. I might increase it a tad more but it's an improvement
  15. and if you think that's mean you better make sure you're subscribed to my YouTube channel. I had myself in stitches over what I did to some poor random dude.
  16. G25 players in TDU1 had an acceleration advantage because of that, I suspect that's the reason behind it. We may not notice the lag as much in faster/tuned cars. I could hide the skill challenges by turning off everything in the HUD, but that doesn't stop me accidentally activating them. The threshold is 50kph I'm in the Dodge Challenger, which handles like a boat. Although I suspect the car in real life also handles like a boat, so who knows. On a long hairpin I managed to properly break traction and slide, but I had the wheel turned more than 180 degrees at the time. Maybe try reducing the Wheel Rotation setting in the profiler and see if that changes anything??? Driving in the mountains (esp icy roads) is fun - but everywhere else driving (this car) feels like a bit of a chore. I'll be playing again in a few hours if anyone wants to catch up. Make sure you've sent me a Ubi friend request in advance.
  17. Yeah locking audio and such to 1 or even 2 FPS settings seems a bit daft. I found even my PC struggled to hold the 60FPS last night unless I switched to bonnet cam. And apparently no-one on YouTube wants to watch videos in bonnet camera.
  18. Didn't the original email/store say that you had to create you own CD/backup of the files as the download link would expire? Best bet would be to contact Atari customer support.
  19. Beta 1 had me in the Camaro since it was an all-rounder. Wanted power and strength over handling to deal with police and online opponents. (Plus I somehow knew that everyone would pick the Nissan and I wanted to be different) Beta 2 saw me choose the Challenger (without doing any test drives) simply because I just want to cruise without upgrading the car and it had the highest top speed. Ignoring any potential physics/handling changes it feels a lot more of a boat and doesn't respond well to being shunted by police.
  20. My FFB stops for 10-20 seconds every 10 minutes or so, then starts to work again.
