  1. I was going to post this pic yesterday but the forum exploded Someone on the official forums made this As you take a look, and if you get to play next week, maybe have a think about good cruising routes. TDU1 was fairly easy given it was roughly a decent-size circle, with a couple of alternative routes here and there (i.e. Fergus or east coast, Kelekole or north-west west coast, motorway or south central-coast past police station). TDU1 also had a few iconic meetup and chill-out locations, such as the lighthouses, various dealers or V-Rent shops, and so on. If you spot any good potential spots in The Crew share them here. And of course share your favourite road locations and lookouts with an indication on the map. I'm thinking the bottom-right corner will be a popular chill-out (chat/toilet break) location similar to TDU1's NW lighthouse - just gives me that vibe. There's also a nice twisty road running along the top of the map on the left side toward Seattle that could form part of a good cruise circuit.
  2. Are everyone else's beta keys in the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx? Only I've noticed that all my other games on uPlay have the key format of xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx :hmmm:
  3. I guess 1280x720 seems low for PC but many console games have used that resolution in the past and still continue to do so. If you build a PC for games you do so with full knowledge that components will need replacing in a matter of years. The less you spend the sooner you'll need to upgrade. That said, there are 'elite' PC gamers out there who always have to have the latest, so you could potentially grab their gear second hand for a decent price. Laptops, even if they have decent nVidia/ATi chips, aren't officially supported and may not provide a great experience, as was the case with TDU1.

  5. As am I... Plus if we wait til next Wednesday we might have our first entries from The Crew.
  6. I really can't say anything, but it appears Nintendo haven't changed their behaviour from the OP til now.
  7. I'm in thanks to Route 909, no emails from registering for the beta with everyone else. If there's no 'please test this' instructions, I'll probably work my way up to unlocking dirt spec (don't want to spoil too much of story mode) then go looking for the best cruise roads, hopefully with friends.
  8. Or just move to Australia and you can probably download it while (A) at work, or (B) asleep.
  9. Trick is to be reeeeal smoooooth and soft on the gas pedal. As soon as I switch to race mode and tried to keep up I was spinning out all over the place.
  10. Something tells me you guys aren't trying hard enough :cheeky:
  11. Hopefully we're not drowned out by little kiddie complaints on the official forums. It's a bit of a mess atm
  12. Link dead, thread closed. Author can PM one of the staff with a new link.
  13. Anyone else wondering how a Mini is more practical than a Miata (besides having a roof)?
  14. Currently: July 25! I'm sure they'll open it again multiple times afterwards though. TDU2 Beta wasn't on 24/7.... come to think of it, it still isn't
  15. You can see from my driving past without any sound or interruption that I clearly didn't :nnnn:
