  1. If he ever wants a hand he can ask me
  2. There's no doubting that  I'm on dialup so it would take me longer to watch the video than to type it.
  3. Was half expecting that - turns out I was thinking of the Daihatsu Copen. That said, I've seen neither in real life. EB Games phoned me today to confirm that my GT5 Preorder would be reader on November 25 (which is probably still Nov 24 (11.59pm) for you guys, but still..... *sigh* It'll be a Thursday, and I won't have time to play it until Friday evening. Maybe I'll read the book on the train to work and back. :)
  4. I've cruised with Slash and a few other Americans occasionally when they've stayed up very late :) Generally speaking, the reason hardcore mode drivers don't like cruising with random "n00b" drivers is due to the fact that Hardcore mode requires you to brake much earlier for corners than in normal mode. Being rammed by "n00b" drivers gets annoying pretty quickly. When you sense that those on the road have respect for the other drivers and try to avoid collisions, then mistakes are easliy forgiven though, and often result in lol's bing typed and photos being taken.
  5. It must be said, I've never seen a Daihatsu Cappuccino, but I have seen Lamborghini's on rare occasions :D
  6. Don't be rough with the gear changes as the internals there can break, besides that, excellent wheel, and probably the most common H Shifter wheel out there.
  7. Freeroam online chases (without time limit) sound good.
  8. The game? I have every NFS except the first one. Lost interest after finishing it the first time though. I've only played NFSWO for about 30 mins total as well - got bored with the physics and world/map.
  9. Your post makes me feel 9 months younger Please check the date of the last post before bumping an old thread
  10. I've downloaded plenty of mods and tools for NFS3, 4, and 6 over the years - don't think I ever signed up though.
  11. It is possible to have the roof down in the rain - I don't know about automation though. Can't access the site from here - will check those pics after :)
  12. Welcome - pretty sure I've seen you before (either here or at nfscars)
  13. My first post was an addition to the OP, not a reply to anyone
  14. One of my fav's from NFS2: Isdera Commendatore 112i
  15. NFS2 was released in 1995 - so no. :)
  16. If you do a Knockout or Tournament comp in NFS2 with the Simulation physics there's a really good chance that you wouldn't win.
  17. You had to practice to become good at a game, instead of developers making it easy from the get-go even for children.
  18. You organise it in the forums here or elsewhere (no special tools). Example - http://forums.eu.atari.com/forumdisplay.php?f=529 Those forums are closed so you can't sign up or post there any more.
  19. The best way to enjoy a slow cruise is to organise one on the forums. State what rules and speed limits will be enforced, what cars can be brought, when it's on, and give people a week to sign up for the cruise by replying to your thread. The map only shows players with the same platform (PC). There are different sessions on the server, and in TDU1 it's sometimes very tricky to jump to a different session to join others. If you are connected to someone and they drive more than ~5 kilometers away from you they will disconnect from you. Locking to them removes this limitation so you can stay connected even if on the other side of the island from them. This will make it harder for others to join you though if there is a great distance between you.
  20. Nice stuff Now where did I put those matches the other day
  21. Good luck stealing a new phone from your sister (esp after Jazzeh just mentioned she hasn't stopped playing with it since). Here's my main dilemma. When it comes to desktop PC's, it's all pretty much Microsoft. Add to the fact I work as an IT Systems Engineer - so the average day consists f using Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2, Exchange 2007, MS Office & Outlook 2007/2010, and so on. A Microsoft phone would fit in better with those tools, and make my job slightly easier, esp as Windows phones often have more IT-related apps. On the other side of the coin, everything 'online' for personal use lies with Google. Gmail, Maps, Docs, Sites, YouTube, Picasa Web Albums (don't use their PC software), etc. I'm not a complete Google nut as I don't really fancy Chrome (not sure why, I did try it when it first came out; I currently have IE9 Beta and Opera installed). Whenever you install Google software, it secretly creates tasks in Windows Task Scheduler to check for updates on a regular basis. That's not a bad thing, but I like programs to be upfront about how and when they access the Internet, I must be a control freak or something. The original looks of Chrome didn't do a lot for me either. Opera looks nicer, is slightly quicker, but is only used when the Internet is slow. Oh right, back to phones. I don't mind the looks of WP7 although the HTCSense on Android is obviously much better. I've had a quick play with a HTC Wildfire or similar to see what Android is like. Not bad, but I've been pretty burnt with Nokia and Symbian. I thought when I purchased their top-of-the-range phone 2 years ago I might get a little VIP treatment with support, updates, new features, etc. Nothing. 3 never passed on the few updates that came around. The phone also freezes when I try to listen to music and surf the net, and the reception was worse than the iPhone 4 glitch. Yeah, so both Android and WP7 are looking good so far, I just need to give it some more time to find out which is better, and wait for a phone that's hardware is substantially better than my N96. Did you know my phone is a PVR - not that Australia broadcasts any DVB-H signals around here (H for handheld, DVB-T is Terrestial, for normal TVs).
  22. I'm a PC gamer, prefer PC gaming for my own reasons, but don't agree with your post. I'm quite certain a 7800GT couldn't play HD games at 1080p at quality like the 360, let alone the PS3.
