  1. Or just make a new duck flag icon
  2. There's a special subforum for requesting car mods that you can post in once you get about 15 or so posts here. We ask that users don't post requests in other threads. :)
  3. Hi New, good to have you with us
  4. The 1st three look new. What's the link to the site that shows the pics?
  5. You never told us the time anyway :p I think there's a cruise scheduled on Dusty's forum anyway, Dan.
  6. It doesn't have to be a sim, it just has to be comparable to driving an actual car. If there is no skill needed to play this game, then there is no aspiration, no point to playing it. If they move the slider closer to the sim side (not all the way), at least after playing it for 3 years, most of you would be better drivers in the real world. If you try to take a 90 degree corner at 100kph in real life, you won't be here tomorrow (and unfortunately, stuff like that happens all too often). There is no need to be a professional racing driver to play this game, but by the time you finish, maybe you might be an ameture one. :) Balance is obviously needed here, and is being sought. After all, turning driver aids off should mean 'use the brakes or crash'. If I drift around the north-east part of O'ahu in TDU1 with aids off in Hardcore mode you get a sense of achievement. 'I did that', not some computer algorithm that makes the car feel like its on train tracks. That's all TDU2 needs to make me happy. I drive in real life every day, so I shouldn't have to learn how to drive in TDU2, because that's how different the physics are. That's just my 2c - hopefully the rest of you see that as a balanced opinion. I don't care how arcady the physics are with Driver aids turned on full, you can have that if you want, even if that means you're at the top of all the leaderboards. I'm just happy to cruise around with friends. Shift is alright in my books, just not enough tracks to hold my attention. The main reason people play sims still is usually due to the modding ability (sounds familiar). :)
  7. Seems like NGR has a few Shift mods - might go try some of them out and post screenies later
  8. Nice pics (although the first one looks like it came from an ArmorAll commercial). :)
  9. I got RBR a few months ago. Handling was good (difficult), but the graphics are in desperate need of a refresh. I'll also be getting WRC whenever that comes out. They've been quieter than Eden just about.
  10. I wish there was a way to export Dirt2's physics into Dirt 1 :( At least Dirt 3 isn't too far away.
  11. You have a car that he doesn't have, so he see's this basic placeholder:
  12. Just noticed Motormax Offroad Extreme is now on Steam for an insanely cheap price (you'd put it in the 'this must be a crap game based on its price' basket if you didn't know any better). If you're not playing in Ibiza, it might fill the gap between now and when the next few games come out http://store.steampowered.com/app/34860/
  13. Cheep n cheerful Logitech 3D Extreme joystick (nothing extreme about it as far as I can tell).
  14. See now, that's what I was thinking. Bust then I though 'nah, a cat couldn't log in and post here', but then I thought 'well, if a duck can do it then I guess a cat could'
  15. Yeah - I've been watching the WRC and on the few stages he's entered he's either been out of the top 10, or has crashed out while around in 8th to 12th place. Still, he was the quickest American there :) Loeb is quite remarkable to watch as well sometimes, although he's taking it easy now since he's practically already won the world championship.
  16. I was fairly sure they soaked that with a fire truck or similar so that he could pull off that particular manuevre. TopGear were originally going to wet their entire track each time to keep the SIARPC lap times consistent, but that would've been way too expensive.
  17. It's a good thing the guy on the Segway didn't see those early mistakes :D Some nice new moves there - that is one agile car (oh and Ken's not that bad either) :p
  18. Yeah, I had a great cheeky response lined up, and then saw who posted it. :(
  19. They might be beta testing a different driving game  Don't be surprised if you post count changes when the other mods wake up tomorrow ;)
  20. If they're using a keyboard they probably have Driving Aids turned on as well, keep in mind. Turning them all off and using a wheel should be a different kettle of boiling water. :p
  21. The good players with good hardware aren't leaking anything then :)
  22. meh, let the voting decide i guess *is discouraged* :(
