  1. I downloaded the 720p version to my PC yesterday and watched it again and for some reason enjoyed it more than the first time I saw it.
  2. I don't suppose anyone would like a copy of this article in PDF format for whatever reason? http://www.adrive.com/public/9927875a1771db5d18cb2f31a6a2e1e9a3d209a851e23214e616450acd765338.html It's ~11mb due to the large image scans from the first post. If the link breaks after a few weeks and you need it, PM me and I'll fix it up
  3. Reason #101 to carry a passenger in TDU2 - so he can pay for the petrol for your Ford GT when you run out of money :p
  4. Yeah, I can't wait to find out the details about the police
  5. You could get a 26" computer monitor with HDMI intputs and a TV Tuner card for your PC so that you can watch and record TV like a PVR. The combined cost might even be cheaper than a TV, not sure. It depends if you have a computer nearby. I've got a LG brand HDTV which I'm happy to recommend. I've heard good things about Samsung too
  6. Welcome to TDUC Am I the only one who can't get a certain Elton John song out of my head now? :(
  7. Hehe, I remember asking friends occasionally to grab a car with a ramp-like bonnet so I could jump over certain fences or obstacles in TDU, that was pretty much the only good thing about the moon gravity :) I was actually in the car that time, helping Dan/Bimmer into the south-west airport when he was new to the Euro forums. I'm not sure if that trick will work in TDU2 with damage enabled :o
  8. Love the outside club-house shot
  9. The car got slower as you picked up more damage in FUEL until the car was totaled and you were reset. I'm not fussed whichever way TDU2 goes as far as damage goes.
  10. You don't see baloon notifications when in full screen applications or games (unless your video card drivers are dodgey)
  11. Set Windows to ask you before updating. Problem solved.
  12. Ok, that's fine. How would setup the option though. Keep in mind that Eden are avoiding menus as much as possible. Maybe it could be automatically decided depending on how many online players you're cruising with or how many you are locked to. There would have to be an Options menu when you press Start/Escape where it could be toggled. You could enable or disable it by pressing a button on the keyboard. I would be happy to disable fuel when playing by myself, but having to stop when cruising with friends, even if it is sometimes a chore, adds more realism to the cruise, and for better or worse, that's what I'm personally hoping to see in TDU2. I'll only be doing races and what not for maybe the first 30% of time I spend playing the game, the rest will just be cruises (I think, unless new game modes or challenges form DLC, or Eden host their own tournaments).
  13. There's not that many mountains in the game though. You could, for example have one either end of Mt Kelekole (in the neighboring towns of Schoefield Barracks and... the other one, Waipahu or something I think). You could have a few along the Fergus route... one here for example: [imghttp://lh4.ggpht.com/_C0PrNGg_f9I/SxrYrdmguzI/AAAAAAAAE48/PhDT1BbSt-A/s400/20091205141414.jpg[/img] They don't need to be massive petrol stations that don't exist in real life. Something like this: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Melbourne+Cbd,+Australia&ll=-37.948699,145.5376&spn=0,0.008234&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=-37.948623,145.537526&panoid=lywENHKsy_hQOd2a-uXm-A&cbp=12,92.69,,0,4.02
  14. Can do, thanks for the heads up Hope you don't mind me editing your first post
  15. Usually in the mountains there is a small shop with a gas pump which looks a lot different to a petrol station in the suburbs. As long as there are fuel stations every 10-15kms or so and along the main routes, we should be fine. That said, we've heard nothing about fuel so far, so there's a decent chance that it won't make it into the game.
  16. How about this for an idea - once you complete the game 100%, you can buy the exclusive cars for yourself
  17. If they made it so that when you went to your house and swapped to another car, the old one was automatically filled up (by your butler, which you could unlock once you get to a certain level), then it wouldn't be that big a deal. You only keep the one car mostly when on a long cruise, and that's when you want to be making fuel stops, so that you can go grab a snack or something.
  18. Ok, I have created 3 discussion threads for the main topics that seem to concern people most of all: Exclusive Club Cars (merged with SuperHyperTDU's 'Club-car only?' thread) Car Damage Car Handling We've had polls on some of these topics before so you could tell everyone how you would like TDU2 to be, these threads are where you can discuss what you do or do not like about how these features are taking shape as we see more videos or read more articles about the game. New members can also ask questions there. Hopefully this will help keep the threads in the News section a little cleaner so that the news stands out a bit more  Thanks guys ;)
  19. I liked the forest scene near the end, that was mainly it for me
  20. If you would like to ask question regarding this topic or discuss if it's a good idea or not, please do it here, and not in other threads. What We Know We know that the handling from TDU1 was evolved from Eden's previous V-Rally games on PSX. Eden said thay they were making a new handling mode that was easy to use (accessible) but difficult to master. Physics have not beein completed in TDU2 yet. The physics shown in the two trailers already released are not representative of the final game to be released in Fall 2010 (northern hemisphere). Some feel that the handling shown in the two trailers is terrible, while others are confident that the physics will improve greatly closer to September. Others think that despite being shot from inside the TDU2 game (unlike the early TDU1 trailers), the cars are animated instead of being 'driven'. A lot of people have already said which type of physics they would like to see in TDU2, many asking for Simulation based (or close to it), while others were happy with the physics in TDU1. You are welcome to discuss the pros and cons of this topic, but any posts that go offtopic or are rude will be deleted.
  21. If you would like to ask question regarding this topic or discuss if it's a good idea or not, please do it here, and not in other threads. What We Know When driving, your car will show cosmetic damage. If you were drifting around a corner to gain 'points' and crash, those points will be lost. One article (GameSpot) said that damage would cost you, but it is believed that this reffered to the loss of accrued 'points' during the particular stunt move. Some feel that damage is a great addition to the game, while others want their cars to always look in prestine condition. You are welcome to discuss the pros and cons of this topic, but any posts that go offtopic or are rude will be deleted.
  22. We are discussing an upcoming car game here, not how awesome or otherwise our countries are. Please remain on topic here.
  23. From what I've read, clubs have to win races first, before they can upgrade their club house and buy exclusive cars. Screenshots showing exclusive cars with others mean nothing at this stage. Developers can cheat, so to speak, to place any cars wherever they like. It also stands to reason, though I could be wrong, that if a club can buy a club exclusive car, they should also be able to purchase non-exclusive cars, which means that some of the screens that we've seen are of a garage at a clubhouse, not a persons house. Since one profile is used both offline and online, I'm not sure if you can get these cars offline. In the TDU2 Suggestions/Ideas section, I'll create a few threads for discussing various features of the game. There they can debate and new members can ask questions.
  24. 1 to 91 sounds like a safe bet to me (91 days in Fall)
  25. Two released trailers have been affected by small delays, and you reckon a projected release date that is months away, made by a company who has no control over the development or publishing of the game is a sound bet??? ;) The most recent trailer to be released a few hours ago said the game would be out Fall 2010. They didn't say which month, or which day. I'm not having a dig at you, but I don't want our visitors being misled in case the information is incorrect.
