  1. Interesting... I shall have to win the lottery now. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  2. You could say its because the main section of the year is first, and then smaller divisions of that, it helps to show some sense of progression through the year. "Oh, how far through the year am I? Oh, 5/... I'm almost halfway through." 'Course, just a theory. I've just gotten used to it. -Leadfoot
  3. ^@Millie: Nice shots! Like the Megane ones, lots of artistic angles (and with those two Twingos). :) Alpine A110 looks cool, too. LOL at the LP640's roof. -Leadfoot
  4. Tried the MotorM4x demo a while back. Had the G25 set on 900 degrees, though, 'cause I was an... particular about it. :cheeky: I'll have to give it a go on less rotation, and fiddle with the pedal settings (brakes/reverse kicked in as soon as the accelerator was lifted). -Leadfoot
  5. Oh, stop your begging. :cheeky: Cool that we have an Eden guy here, though. :) -Leadfoot
  6. Oh, you beat me to it! :cheeky: Well, this is certainly interesting. I saw some 'Nam hats and Hueys, but also that AUG weapon from MW2. And an interior that seems similar to an Apache (but could've been a Cobra). Also: -Dual-tail fighter (F15? Su-27?) EDIT: SR-71 BLACKBIRD! WOOT! (0:47) -Space suit (also at 0:47) -Heli interior from PILOT's perspective (behind gunner), and crashing. -Missile launch (will they ever stop? Enough with the nukes and EMPs!) -Scientists running -Old trucks -Snowy rocks and MW2-style unique melees. -Repelling from a harbor crane. -Palm trees. -Running through jungle -Very over-exploded things. For more specific details, I'll wait for the GameTrailers analysis. :) -Leadfoot
  7. Ah, I was looking at the GT3 RS/Clubsport pedal combo a while back, and almost bought it. Wasn't sure about reliability etc., and then had other priorities with my hard-earned - erm, given to me by relatives over a long period of time - $400. Certainly looks nice, though. :) Oh, and am I right in saying that Fanatec "Clubsport" stuff can be hooked up with all other Fanatec stuff (IE, the Clubsport pedals could be connected to the Carrera S wheel?) -Leadfoot
  8. Unfortunately true. :( The wheel is smaller than most cars as well, and linearity and steering weight are very different as well. At least, from what I've heard. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  9. How you get such detail baffles me. -Leadfoot
  10. It's like a slightly retarded Roomba. THAT LAYS EGGS! TDUCk must buy. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  11. Must say, the One-77 looks much better from a "real life" perspective (as opposed to an artistic photographer's perspective). I'm starting to like it. :) Sounds pretty cool, too. -Leadfoot
  12. Nice light photoshopping on that 458! :) -Leadfoot
  13. Very nicely composed. :) -Leadfoot
  14. Wow. Will be downloading that. Someone herd everyone towards TX-Pro! :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  15. +1. Body color spoiler looks kinda cool. :) -Leadfoot
  16. This month, we saw a very important turn of events for the modding world of TDU; car models from FM3. Several modders have already made great progress with these untextured models, namely Terzer and TDUZoqqer. This should be interesting. :) ENTRANTS: Terzer: Ferrari California (top up and down) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18292 Lambo Llama: Aston Martin V12 Vantage - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=16443 Terzer: Ferrari 458 Italia - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=17706 Terzer: Bugatti EB110 SS - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=17536 Terzer: Dodge Viper RT/10 (1992) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18094 TDUZoqqer: Aston Martin DBS - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18353 Minime981: Porsche 911 GT3 RS - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=17958 Minieme981: Bugatti Veyron (and variations) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?p=296699#post296699 StarLeyGT: Ural Wolf (Motorcycle) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18002 StarLeyGT: Nissan Frontier - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18102 StarLeyGT: Harley-Davidson Black Rider - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18207 StarLeyGT: Saleen Mustang (Transformers replica) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18525 StarLeyGT: Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor (working lights) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?p=303055#post303055 Grin116/Yahoo-eu: BMW M3 Tun (E46) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18337 Yahoo-eu: Toyota Celica - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18382 Yahoo-eu: Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18422 Assassin996: Audi S4 Avant - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18417 Bullet1395: Acura RSX-S - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18284 StaryLeyGT: Ford Crown Victoria (Police and undercover styles) - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=18359 ________________ ------------------ ________________ And, of course...
  17. Clever concept (voted yes :) ). Another interesting thing to add to it would be the cost of "importing" a car only sold in one area (for example, if you bought a Reunault Megane RS on Ibiza but wanted it moved to Oahu, you would have to pay all the foreign reg. fees, and vice versa with the Mustang on Hawaii). I guess you covered this with the "cost of moving" fee, but there usually is some substantial up-front payment (or you could pay it the first time you tried to move the cars, along with the 10% fee every time). -Leadfoot
  18. LOL, yeah. Everyone's been so hyped about the trailer's release date. Imagine the game itself! :) -Leadfoot
  19. Interesting shots in the gallery. Have we seen those before or not? -Leadfoot
  20. 1.) You're still worried about that? Okay, then... 2.) I own a PS3, and I am aware that it and the 360 are basically the same thing, and I have played games like MGS, GT5P, etc., so I know the graphics potential. 3.) The lazy developers thing was my main point in my original post because they make games to the lowest acceptable specs (consoles). But let's forget this, shall we? :) _________________________________ Nice find! Yes, it's probably same info, but I think it deserves to be added to the first page. :)
  21. Good observation, but I think it's a Charger or Viper. A bit blurry, so you never know. :) -Leadfoot
  22. I will ignore the fact that the first two rather... determined replies of my above post are 360 users. And, Queen, in response to your final remark, I am by no means abandoning my hopes of TDU2. I would have pre-ordered it already if I wasn't holding out for pre-order deals later on. :) And I won't start with you on Crysis (which I have a great deal of experience with thanks to the filmmaking capacity of CryEngine2 and Sandbox2), because that's a discussion for a different forum. Fair enough, I understand about the increases in appearance quality increases as ports from consoles to PC, but it's worrying to see something with the low quality of some of those shots. And I suppose I was mainly a bit disgruntled by the obvious console controller use featured in the trailer (and the really bad driver who was weaving all over the road). :cheeky: EDIT: That's refreshing. :) Thanks for posting. -Leadfoot
