GTAMADDOG

I've already decided this mod is more hassle than it's worth, from my point of view anyway. First time I tried it, I installed GTA IV, patched it to 1.0.4.0 and added iCEnhancer to it and it started up fine, only had a few minutes to try it out. Went back to have another look the next day and GTA IV would stop responding as soon as it started. I re-installed GTA IV, the patch and the mod and made sure I did everything right. Again, the game started and ran fine but now, a day later, it's started crashing again. Haven't even changed a single setting to do with the mod, the game or the entire computer and now the game doesn't want to work at all again. It is almost like it's doing it to take the preverbial pee.

I gave it a go for five minutes last night. Makes the game look good in some areas, makes it look like a tonne of bloom effects (too many/much) and a boost in contrast has been added elsewhere for me rather than what you see in all the videos. I guess the config file or whatever it uses needs tweaking a bit to get the same results but I don't have time for that. Works best on patch 1.0.0.4 or whatever it is, the game didn't want to start at all with no patches and iCEnhancer installed.

I didn't realise a Lexus LF-A came with a (what I presume is) a GoPro HD camera as an optional extra :p Saw the daily 911 Turbo which is always parked in the same place. Also witnessed two accidents which made my day a bit more interesting, not so great for the people involved. Literally just got on the bus from work, the bus went down to the end of the road and turned left and carried on down the usual B-road for a mile and came to the junction where the bus turns right. A que of traffic in my (the buses) direction, someone decided to let a Vauxhall Astra out of the junction. Not so conveniently for the Vauxhall Astra driver, this was also at the precise time when a Mitsubishi L200 was coming in the other direction at about 50MPH. The Astra driver obviously didn't check to see if anything was coming in the other direction so he pulled out, L200 tried to react but had next-to-no time to do anything, he tried to swerve to miss the Astra but ended up hitting him in the rear quarter panel, Astra span around, L200 mounted the grass verge and coasted to a stop. Quite amazingly the Astra driver got out and ran straight to the other driver to see if they were alright, almost acted like he had an accident like it every day of his life. The other accident was a motor-cyclist pulling out of a petrol station, must've thought his bike was quicker than it actually was, he crossed the first half of the road fine, only to be struck by a Citreon Saxo coming in the other direction. Don't really know what happened after that because I was on the bus and the bus carried on as other people stopped to help. The motor-cyclist was thrown from his bike though and landed in some grass on the side of the road. The L200/Astra one was weird though, I was watching the Astra already for some reason, next thing I knew I saw the L200 crashing into the Astra and spinning it around, I don't remember seeing the L200 before that. /boring stories that aren't what this thread is meant for.

The first red Ferrari 458 photo looks more like something from Gran Turismo 5 photomode. *suddenly wants to install GTA IV again*

iCEnhancer for GTA IV looks pretty good. I can't be bothered to install GTA IV again to see if it's better than the YouTube videos suggest though. Almost looks like a different game in some videos.

Golf or Octavia. /bias I personally don't like the E60 (Don't know what engine the one you're looking at has), the E90 you've chosen has the wrong engine. The E46 and E39 are getting on a bit now and I wouldn't be surprised if they threw up stupid bills along the way so I'd stay away from those, personally. But as I say I'm bias towards VW and Skoda. Herp derp.

Another crap day at work talking to people who try to correct me on something they know nothing about. Get home, go on OCUK and someone's found a racing pigeon and wants to reunite it with it's owner so I'm now doing my job at home as well :p

One of the many times every day I have to wonder how some people can be so rediculously stupid to even be allowed to walk amongst the rest of us without proper care.

Door card has come away from the door itself, clip you can see must've broken or something, although it doesn't look to be damaged so maybe it can be pushed back in. Wouldn't expect such a manufacturer to be using that sort of clip to hold a door card on these days. My 306 uses those clips and they're pretty rubbish. Tidy looking BMW though.

Someone else a victim of the head-gasket failure this year :( My sister's boyfriend had it twice in a month on his Discovery TDI because the garage who fixed it didn't skim the head or put new stretch bolts in. Sold the thing as spares because he never wanted to see it again and bought a Polo, lol.

Jeezuz Kriiist it's hot today.

I've seen worse being driven about on the roads around here as of late but I wouldn't expect anything more, most people around here are a bit dodgy :p Shame about the car and heart breaking to see when you've put effort into keeping it together only to have the new owner go and undo all of that work, but then again at least it's the new owner's problem and not yours that it's slightly re-styled.

This, not keen on the spoiler above the rear window either but it's a lot better than the eye-brows. A very tidy looking car otherwise.
