Nothing like a good old E36 M3. That's one of, if not the best colours in my opinion. All these new BMWs do nothing for me at all. Also want that Golf R32 that's in your video as well.

I will be the limited contribution and for a change I'm not being negative. Yay. Guy came and looked at the Golf and there was no need to kill him. Late 20s, early 30s in age, had a family and looked quite sensible, also knew his way around the car and said he'd owned six Sciroccos and two Golfs before. He also didn't look like a chav or a regular at Halfrauds. Looks can always be deceiving though. Time will tell, and if he actually buys it or not. At least if he buys it I can keep an eye on it and stick the Vs up at him if I drive past him and he's gone all Barry's Boy on it. Could've been worse. I was expecting some 22 year old chav to show up saying "Alreet mayte, propa car innit, I've 'ad two of dees, I crashed me first one n den cut da springs on da suspenshun on me last one tha propa mucked it up liyk."

I've got to show some guy around the Golf today. No-one on here will say anything if he's magically wiped from existance while on my property will they?

Tarnations! I was going to list a couple of modified cars but I have no idea how much they'd cost with modifications on them. That and I can't be bothered to work out the exchange rates :p Most of mine would be used cars though, unless they were magically back on sale in dealerships brand new for the sake of this thread :p

In an ideal world I would have a 550D. Infact, in an ultimately ideal world I'd probably have a 5D MKII but that's not going to happen any time soon :p Is the 18-55mm lens actually any good? Some people seem to slate it, any others seem to say it's decent but images taken with it appear too soft some times which makes me wonder if I should bother with it or not. £420 is about as cheap as I've seen them on eBay with the kit-lens, but they're badged as the Rebel T1i not the 500D. The lowest I've seen on a highstreet retailer's website is £470 with the kit-lens and badged as a 500D.

Bit of a bump but what did you end up getting after, if anything? I've been looking at the 500D myself over the last couple of days after forgetting about this thread. Difference is I'll be using it for video as much as photography because carrying two cameras around and switching between the two for different uses is a pain in the arse, especially when you're on top of a freezing military range in Wales with numb hands, etc. Can't afford a 550D and that's the end of it :p There was a 500D on eBay earlier which came with a Canon 50mm lens instead of the 18-55mm kit lens which I was quite interested in, maybe I should've gone for it. It was in budget too :/

Woke up in the middle of the night feeling as sick as I don't know what. Managed to get back to sleep and got up this morning feeling normal but now I feel like crap again. Got the windows open for fresh air while it's snowing and probably 0C outside. Also wouldn't mind a new camera, preferably a DSLR like a 500D or similar but I have funding issues, kind of. I can afford it but if I buy it I'll be on my personal limit of minimum money to be left in me bank account. My mum and her partner announced yesterday that they were getting married. I didn't know how to take it as the way they said it seemed quite tongue in cheek (if you know what I mean), I'm not very good at judging sarcasm, so they probably are and I seemed like a twat because I didn't really seem interested. I'll actually try and talk and find out more the next time I see them even though I hate talking. If it's true then I am going to flip out and that's an understatement. Everything's changing and too God damn fast at the moment. It's like I've been handed a new life (which I hate) for Christmas because so much has decided to change around this time.

When I first saw that video thumb nail I thought "Oh no, someone else trying to cover a Michael Jackson song and will probably face-plant badly like the many other covers" but it was actually pretty decent. The solo did nothing for me though. The original solo always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up but that version of it seemed pretty boring for some reason. No cover will ever compare to the original song though.

I suspect I'll be one of the few people who actually thought 2010 was great and will probably remember it for years to come for so many things. 2011 is going to be Hell for me, there's no other way to describe it. I hate that it's going to be January again.

I was just thinking this morning why there was a thread about bad days but not good days, I was starting to think everyone hated life :p Good to see that there's a thread for good days now though.

Just cleared the last of our possessions out of the Golf, sister gets her new car tomorrow, really couldn't care less about the new car. I'm going to be more than sad to see that Golf go and it's not even my car but it's like a member of the family in a way and definitely the end of an era. I was the one who found it on Auto-Trader 4 years ago actually, and I've helped fix it and kept it looking it's best. Tax runs out on it tomorrow so I'll probably never sit in it again, definitely never be driven in it again. Probably all sounds lame and pointless but I suspect we were that car's last life-line and it'll probably fall into the wrong hands now. :(

Turned my computer on just now and Nod32 decided to find 2 trojans, I don't know where they've come from but still. Then I went to do the washing up and a glass which has had a tiny crack in it for months now decided to shatter in my hand as I was washing it, resulting in loads of cuts in my right hand that wont stop bleeding. I don't think there's any glass stuck in them though so I'm just going to ignore them all.

Can I come? Please. I've always wanted to go there. I'm forever watching YouTube videos about it.

Nice one! Man, I still don't know if I want a drum kit or a leccy guitar. Might just have to make do with a guitar as there's absolutely no-where to put a drum kit in this house unless I hammer a shed together in the back garden.
