  1. OMFG.... they are GORGEOUS! Always loved the GranTurismo but that A8 is just stunning!
  2. Just beautiful, hopefully some brave soul will attempt an 8c Spider too and my life will be complete
  3. Excellent choice, be sorry to see it go lol but it's all for a good cause
  4. Any chance of it being able to be used over a different car? I love the look of the R8 but the Cien is just awful to drive and probably a bit too fast for the R8. A sweet handling B or C would work better imo
  5. A little video I made showing the Veyron, available to download here - Great work BasBas http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PlgqEzwnIUM&fmt=18

  7. The way ahead As we can now use ZModeler to alter car models for TDU, could we have some Roadster versions as quick mods? MC12 with the Targa removed, same thing for the Koenigsegg etc. If someone could make a 8C Spider that would make me deeply happy.
  8. Ever since I have had TDU I have had a strange problem that I can't resolve. I never have problems connecting to the servers and when I look on the map every players is shown as a red diamond, players in game nearly always have a good connection and not too much hopping about at distance but whenever the session I am in goes over 6 players I am hopping about like mad to all the other players but they all still look fine to me. I was originally on 4Mb VirginMedia with a cable running up to my PC, thinking it was a router ports problem I changed my router to a Linksys from my original Buffalo one as that couldn't open enough ports but still the problem persisted. I have also tried plugging straight into the modem and removing the filter plugged into the back of it. None of this makes any difference. I recently upgraded my PC and changed mobo so now using a different LAN adaptor - still the same VM have recently also upgraded my connection to 10Mb - again no change. My download/upload speeds are consistent with what they should be for the package I'm on and I have no problems with anything else online - other games (TF2, DoD:S etc), uploading to FTP sites, web browsing, torrents etc. I was in TeamSpeak with a m8 for the last cruise I did and when that went above 6 ppl, I again started lagging and he said the sound was all choppy in TS too although I could still hear him ok. Any ideas?... cos I'm about all out

  10. Basically yes, it means the file ur using for plate.2db is the wrong file size. Try re-extracting the plate.2db from the bnk, then try again. The file you show in the attachment is the right pixel size but you might have used the wrong dds settings when saving it resulting in the file being the wrong size in bytes.
  11. Yes that was the bit that tripped me up - think of plate as the colour version and ws_plate as the image that provides the 3d effect (the blue filtered one)
  12. Yup, used the site to make the image, saved it, resized it to 256x128, open it in photoshop then followed the tut, sent you the finished bnk file.
  13. No renaming needed, the zip contains a common_car.bnk, just back up your old one and drop it in there.
  14. Dunno if many of you saw this but if anyone wants the bnk for any of these plates, drop me a pm and I'll stick em on a webserver. http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=81766
  15. Oh dear, I could get addicted to this: ...been trying to find the license plate for Lucy Liu's Corvette in Charlie's Angels for when the CarPack gets released... in the meantime, Magnum's Ferrari (I thought the 288 would work ok for now) BNK is here I fixed the Steve McQueen "Bullitt" Mustang pic and bnk file too! - and I use the sound from pack2 for the GT, sounds lovely!
  16. Woot Woot cracked it - it didn't occur to me that you make the first dds to provide the new plate file and the blue one for ws_plate, once I understood that it worked like a peach. I had this daft idea of themed plates so for my "Bullitt" Mustang.... BNK file is here, if anyone wants it. Done a few others too (I got a bit carried away) Magnum PI (there were a few different ones they used) Eleanor from Gone in Sixty Seconds Thanks for figuring this out - great fun.
  17. I got that and the normalmap plugin but I think the problem is you cant save the final dds as the correct format (32bit) - my first effort kinda worked but it looked just like the example you show before the final dds save - ie blue. Gonna try it in Photoshop now... lol
  18. Thanks for the offer but I would like to know how to do it for future reference. I'm not certain if that is the plate I want, it was just one I made to try it out and I wouldn't want to waste your time.
  19. Can you give some tips on how to use dds in Gimp. I downloaded a dds plugin for use with Gimp but it doesn't give the same options as you show for the PS one. I'm trying to get this to work
  20. Corvette C1 1957 - Bring on the Classics Cruises Alfa Brera More Ferraris! Some RUF's :)
  21. Agreed... it's not like we don't know who they are!
  22. Can't believe you told everyone here that you knocked one out this morning
