People modding right here do their best regarding the free time they get. That could be even better, but hey already better than nothing. I would never expect this game could be as easily modded/moddable as GTA for example. Some games have a bright modding future, some haven't such, there are lots of reasons for that.
At the end of the day, instead of complaining about others not doing enough given the game potential, some people should be more helpful and start contributing. It's never to late....

TDU has never worked well when trying to join people from the map. All that we could do is all going to a "calm" place (far from the city), wait for people to appear, then lock. But even with this you'll experience hard times with your friends...
Btw, going to map puts you out of the session everytime.  Bad coding. lol
That's not something which could be fixed from the server sadly.

Good job, this tutorial would need its own thread btw 🤪

Nice guide, but using magic map will replace TDU Platinum map and thus would make most of mods hidden. Just skip this step. Also, TDUF is much more powerful to edit vehicle settings.

Also, I think Platinum does not work without official car megapack. And not sure about TDU gold. Just try as @postcd said to check step-by-step.

Some mods require bigbnk feature to be activated. Check it's been selected in project paradise launcher. Or start game with -bigbnk switch if you don't use launcher.

That's a well known issue. Don't assign map actions to analog stick, see in-game controller settings.

Try enabling vsync in Project Paradise Launcher

    I don't think so.
Download all 3 files first, then extract only .zip file, it will handle all parts automatically.

Ok I thought you were speaking about car dealers. Sorry.
There's no tool which will made it in one click, if that's what you're asking for...
The changes have to be made in TDU database via many topics, so your only options for now are TDUF, or TDUUT + text editor. The link has to be made between brand name resource in BRANDS and CAR_PACKS, I guess. You can inspire yourself from existing vehicles to get understanding of TDU mechanisms.
    Good luck!

Of course, you can mix up vehicles from different brands in a given shop. Brand linking is only applicable to tuning shops.

    Hi,
TDUF currently shows and enables writing every piece of .db file, including language resources (whereas TDUPE and TDUMT can't).
See it as 'user friendly' version of tduut 😄

True, but that's a trade-of between car diversity and quality... all modders could not get optimal results by lack of experience, time and proper tools in the days...
Some mods are older than others, and were not re-made since then.
In some cases, features like doors or windows were replaced with feature experiments like movable spoilers or removable rooftops. That was a choice to make given game engine limitations.

Now, there's likely to accept quality as it is, as there are next to no-one at modding TDU 🙂

    TDUF Database Editor.
Within settings, select Brands profile to display.
Like any topic, you have the + button to add a new entry.

Oh yeah, and I'll add working online mode with all features and proper physics (copy/pasted from TDU) as well.
    </sarcasm>
No, sorry. I'm sure others could make it, might happen some day if game's really worth it. I made some BNK tools ages ago, now taking a long rest from TDU2.

That's a known issue with latest Java versions, download and extract 1.12.0 Java 9&10 HOTFIX zip from downloads page. Replace existing files as written in zip's Readme.

Install x64 version of Java, not 32-bit.
Unless you're using a 32-bit  Windows 10 ? If so, extract attached zip file in tduf/tools/cli directory. Replace existing files (DatabaseEditor.cmd and DatabaseEditor.sh).

It might be related to some per-camera view settings in game files (although cameras.bin is not fully supported, and may never be...)
When I wrote cameras editor in TDUF, I was helped by a russian (I guess) tool, translated into english. Some view settings were named after 'binoculars' 🤔, others have still unknown effects.
So you should try change such values in TDUF and see what happens. Good luck...

    Hi,
tdupks may also be imported with TDUF Database Editor.
In any case, make backup of Euro\Bnk\Database directory before that.

Yes xbo controller is meant to work out of the (x)box 😏
At least that's the case down here. Using windows 10, may help for controller support.

Hopefully this patch will help with maintaining game stability. 1gb RAM limit is a serious bottleneck with all mods installed (even without considering fairly optimized cars).
I remember not using HDU patch in the past because of crashes - might be linked to this issue ?!
Thanks to @Mondodimotori for the time spent on investigation and solution 🤗
And of course thanks @Milli for bringing new fellows down here !!

Just wondering why you'd need to remove some cars. Although that is technically possible, it's a complicated task which demands to remove any reference to the said cars in every part of the database... or prepare to apocalypse 🙈
Just replacing car files and editing vehicle specs is a safer way to get different vehicles.
And about other parts of the database, only the mod pack creator has the full knowledge of all references. Tools haven't been made for this kind of tasks. I mean, the tools source code is available, but someone knowing how to code has to lean 'a bit' towards it before handling such edge cases.
