Anyway i liked your edited picture, has the rustic effect that i initially hoped to achieve.

 

Any other criticism other than the "temperature"?

I'd say no. It needed a bit more contrast when I took the colours out, but the DoF and focus is brilliant!

I thought I would post a couple photos I've taken over my period of study.

 

 

 

I obviously haven't been taking that many, as I've been revising, but whatever.

 

I've also just (today) ordered myself a new lens. A Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 which cost me £250. Should come either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Really like this one, the bokeh (if you don't know what it is use wiki :p) is very nice here.

 

@ Koenig: 250 isn't that expensive...

Friend of me has a 70-200 F2.8 IS which set him back 1700 euro. I'm saving up for one of those, but first i want to buy a replacement for the 18-55. Probably getting the 17-85 IS which is better quality. That and a polarizer and a sun hood will cost me 400 i believe.
