what progs do i need to mod the gauges of the bumpercam?

i have photoshop cs4 but i cant open the .bnk files in the vehicules-folder(thats where the gauges is in i think)

 

ok, some plugins were missing

 

but can someone tell meh, where to find the gauges/speedo from bumpercam?

You don't need to post twice for the same problem ;)

 

As for your problem: I don't think it can be activated, as the DataBase files are still encrypted, and no one has publicly managed to decrypt them so far.

oh, my mistake. I misread your post. I thought you meant how to have the gauges on the actual bumper camera... *facepalm*

 

What you do is:

1. Get TDU MODDING TOOLS

2. Open it up and navigate to your ..\TDU\euro\bnk folder.

3. Go to FrontEnd/HighRes/Gauges

4. Navigate to the car you want to replace.

5. The filenames are self-explanitory

6. Modify them, and save them in the same format of DDS (Such as DDS DXT1, DDS DXT5 etc..)

7. Replace the files (Don't forget to backup)

8. Enjoy

thx m8, but when i save the file with photoshop, i can change round about 30things on the file ! (redo mipmaps e.g.)

 

i only changed the gto speedo(not a big thing, just deleted the "GTO" logo) and after saving the file(i didnt change any settings) i have in TDU some gfx bugs where the speedo should be...i think i have to change some of the settings when saving the file in photoshop....or maybe i have to change something in Djeys tool, when i import the file again - dunno :/

I can't really help you that much, as I tried to do a HUD mod myself. but failed.

Why wouldn't you follow the same tutorial as for all textures ? The only difference is the filename :)

Moreover, it would be better if you use TDU Modding Tools instead of BnkEditor, as it has not evolved since this tutorial was written.
