The BTCC 2009 Championship will be decided today between the top 2 Colin Turkington and Fabrizio Giovanardi with Jason Plato possibly able to do it if he wins 2 of the rounds and a podium in the final race of the day and the top 2 have a horrible day so basically it's going to be a good one and it will all be decided today!

ITV4 right now for those of you in the UK.

Come on Turkington and the RWD BMW!!

*spoilers for 1st Race below*

Wow what a finish by Plato, unlucky for Chilton though in losing it at the last split second of the race after leading it from the start. Gio finished in 3rd and Turkington in 8th meaning there is now only a 6pt lead by Turkington over Gio but Plato winning means he is now right up there in 3rd and only 8pts behind Gio. The 2nd race is in about 2 hours and Turkington will lose his 45kg of ballast so it should make for a good race and one that will definitely shape the Championship final charge.

It's going to be an amazing finish to the season.

Someone's been on the Irn Bru. :cheeky:

Awesome season finale, they were racing for the title till the last corner on the last lap of the last race of the season.

Disappointed at Matt Neil and VXRacing tbh.

Turkey thoroughly deserved that, after having his rear suspension damaged early on.
