Dual screens

Hello.

 

I want to dual link 2 15" monitors. There both VGA only. I have a 9800GT graphics card which is HDMI/Dual-link DVI and VGA. Will I be able to get the DVI cable but get VGA converters to use it with the monitors?

You can use a DVI to VGA adaptor, then use your VGA cable with your other monitor. You can pick up a DVI to VGA adaptor for around a quid.

Ahhh so I have 2 cable going into my GFX card which then go into the monitors.

Remember, if you have an S-Video out port, you can use just about any standard CRT TV. I tried this, combined with dual monitors (I have 3 monitors, check out my PC stuff for details), to have triple screens. Didn't keep it though, choosing the correct res, convenience, and high stress on the card was annoying. I usually just use my 2333 as my 'daily'.

That'll work, I use a smaller version of that cable to connect my second monitor.

Ahhh k. Thanks. Wasn't sure if it had to be one cable comming out of the GPU then a splinter on the end to connect both monitors.

 

EDIT: Just had alook at the GPU and I dont think theres enough space to fit a VGA cable next to the DVI slot 0.o
