Getting X360 controllers triggers on separate axis'?

Title says it all. I bought a wired Xbox 360 controller so I can use it with my PC. But now I have realized that the triggers are on the same axis so if I hold them both down it will be the same thing as not pressing anything. So is there any solution to get the triggers on different axis' so I can press gas and brake at the same time? :confused:

Are you using a program such as XPadder? I use XPadder, and I can press both triggers at the same time and it works :)

Enables extra parts of XBOX 360 controller (although since using Windows 7 the Microsoft drivers are fine), and it lets you manually turn on the vibraters (good for a massage, seriously) :D
