hey guy's, here is my story about cars :D

 

since i'm learning how to fix the bodyshell of an car in school (dnno the name of that ^^)

i'm planning on buying my own car, to fix up, clean up, and get it ready to go cruizin down the road's :D

 

here is the car i'm planning to restore :

it's an 1995 Ford Escort Convertible, 1.6 CLX Petrol engine

right now it has 95.500KM (according to the website, it can be 195.500KM aswell)

and as you see, there is some work to do with it

 

Tech Spec.:

 

displacement = 1597CC

Horse-Power = 90BHP

Engine = 4-Stroke Engine

Top Speed = 173KM/H

55L Gas Tank

Weight = 1205KG

 

i am really planning to buy this car and fix it, so right now, i don't even have the car yet, i'm planning on go and take a look somewhere next week, when i find some spare time, and see what work need's to be done

 

i will keep you guy's updated, and i'm willing to post the whole buy, fix, clean and ready-ing up process along the way, so you guy's can give your opinion on what look's best ^^

Hmm, that's gonna be a lot to work on. My brother tried this also for school purposes on an old Audi, he never finished it, because the parts were just too expensive and he didn't have the patience. But if you're really up for it, do it. I wish you the best of luck, and i'd love to see what comes out ;)

thanks ey, and i already looked up the parts, the front left side is around 38€ for a new one, and for an completely new hood it's around 130€, but i will look to fix the hood myself, by welding an little plate on it, and work it out in the shape of the hood :D

 

UPDATE :

 

i mailed the guy that sell's the car, and he told me he only got time in the weekends, after 6PM, actually, thats hard to get there (since the bus connections are terrible)

so i will put this on a hold, since i have to wait until the vacation to go and watch it, this will take 4 weeks, unless my mate finds a solution to get us there sooner
