Help out a Forza 3 n00b?

Hey guys, I really need your help. Despite not owning Forza or even an Xbox for that matter, I've gone ahead and entered a competition with Forza 3 as one of the games.

 

Now obviously, without owning the game, i have no idea which cars are actually good (I only ever drove class S-D cars when I played at my friend's house), which is where I need you guys. Could all you Forza 3 players give me some recommendations as to which cars to use, both stock vehicles (i.e. R1 cars?) as well as any other vehicles that could be upgraded to as high a PI as possible.

FXX, tuned to be R3-800, seems like the best choice. It combines straightline speed with cornering ;)
