The Package

When you first see it in it's box, it makes you feel like you have bought a great piece of game equipment, the images make you feel involved in the gaming, even if your looking at it, still in the shop, once you get it home, you will find the following items in your box...

-Wheel (With mounting points already installed)

- Pedals

- Instruction Manual

- Power cable

- USB cable

You may have noticed that there is no disc with it, don't worry! We will tell you how to get the Logitech Driving Force GT profiler later...

The Main Unit

You may have already noticed this but this wheel has 900 degrees of steering (2.5 turns of the wheel in both directions!) The gear lever is a sequential gearbox, not a H shifter like on it's bigger brothers, the G25 and the G27... The paddles behind the wheel are not paddles as such but more, buttons... If you are not a Play Station owner and are wondering what the X, + and - all mean then you don't need to worry, you can just map them like you would with any other wheel. Overall, the main part of this wheel seems very sturdy, even the mounting bolts, I find them much better than the one smoke twister...

The Pedals

Yes, there is only two pedals but that's no big deal... Just no clutch! Apart from that, the pedals have good waiting with the accelerator a nice light touch where the brake is much firmer, just like real life. The only thing that I don't like is that there not as strong as the G27, but there much better and more reliable that the old Momo. The pedals score well as they are the best I have used on and wheel I have owned...

Attaching and getting it to work on your PC

It's simple, one USB plug to put into your computer, but your PC must be near to the wheel as the USB cable is not that long. Once you have put the USB into your computer, you need to connect the pedals and the power lead to the main unit... Just plug the pedals in to the main unit, then plug the AC adapter into the mains and connect the other end to the main unit... If your pedals are on a carpet surface then you need to lower the carpet grippers, to do this, you need to go underneath the pedals and pull the little leaver to release the carpet grippers, be careful though as these are very sharp. Now you have the wheel pluged into the system, you need to install the Logitech profiler to your computer, as the wheel was designed to Play Station, there was no disc for the PC, so you need to download off the official Logitech website which is available here. Now you have the profiler installed, you can get playing, it will take you while to get your force feedback and wheel settings to your liking...

Playing your game

When you finally get playing the game, it is a stunning experience, you can feel every bump in the road and even feel the wheel pulling under high power, I can't describe how good it is to use but if you had the money, then the G27 would be a bit better...

Overall

The Package - 9.5/10

The Main Unit - 9.0/10

The Pedals - 6.0/10

Assembly - 9.8/10

Gameplay - 9.9/10
