X360 controller?

Is anyone here using the xBox 360 controller for TDU2 on PC? The combination of lousy, notch-like physics and lousy, notch-like wheel calibration is throwing me off. Add on the fact that I know feel a strange urge to move closer to oncoming cars on highways in real life, and I'm starting to think I should try a different controller method for TDU2 than my G25.

So anyone using a 360 pad (or an actual xBox, since I'm sure a lot of 360 users clicked on this because of the title :cheeky: ) think it's a good idea? The game's too... strange to go for realism, so I figure this might be a wise move. Ryzza, I know you sometimes use a 360 controller for PC, but you don't have to go resetting all your settings to try this.

Thanks in advance, everyone!

The physics (at least when offroading) are slowly growing on me. That said, when I got back in the Golf for a drive yesterday it took some getting used to - so that says something.

When offroading in O'ahu the car responds predictably - if we had proper force feedback I'd be decently satisfied with it as far as arcade games go.

I wasn't planning on switching to the 360 pad either Leadfoot :nnnn:

humans i have used a xbox 360 controller in the beta, and yes it will work. Experiment with the settings in tdu2 and it will work.

I now use a F430 wheel, at first it sucked till i took some time to set it up. Result is awesome ( relative )

To start :

force feed back = off

sensitivity = 25 % ( to the left )

speedfactor = all to the left

steering damping = all to the left

deadzone = all to the left

I also use the 360 controller on PC, and it's much better than using the keyboard! Sure, some cars are still very hard to keep on the road, but I thought that was due to the generally flawed driving physics.

I can't say if 360 is better than a steering wheel, but if you're given the choice between keyboard and 360 you should definitely use the 360!
