Horrible cards. They stutter all the time. They idle at 45-50* (I have excellent airflow) and sound like an airplane even when I'm watching a youtube video.

I should rephrase that. Hardly had any problems, and it's not like they were absolutely horrible. XFX had a poor design with these cards.

 

Other than that, they would play all my games decently. Skyrim was a bit of trouble with its built-in, awful vsync but it's nothing a small bit of work couldn't fix and I just had the settings a bit too high anyway and too much AA.

 

But anyway I'm not going to sit here and argue fanboy vs. fanboy considering I've never owned an nVidia product.

Using the intel thermal paste is like using the intel stock cooler on a k series and overclocking it to 5GHz.. A combo of those two and your chip is dead.

 

I use arctic silver myself.

It's on about the paste between the CPU itself and the CPU casing. Not the stuff that's between the CPU casing and heatsink.

 

With how much they charge for some of their CPUs that just seems a bit of a daft move.
