1. I think Julian's been spying on me during the previous beta, as I went free-roaming straight toward the snowy mountains as soon as I finished the tutorial, and I've also raced around 2 tracks with others without using the proper event.

 

2. Negotiating one year of 'free' development of features beyond launch sounds like a good enough reason to sell The Crew for a bit more moula than perhaps expected. iirc the original TDU1 team also lasted exactly one year after release, during which time they released 6 car packs, Hardcore mode, PC version, 2x PC patches, PC mega car-pack.
