I think you amplified the audio too much, which is why it sounds bad in the RPM sounds. I suggest reducing the amplification of the RPM sounds since it sounds like the audio is clipping to extreme levels.

Also, the horn doesn't loop very well.

If the original sounds are already sitting at 0 dB in Audacity, then I would not amplify any further since it would really affect the quality of the game. You can also do amplification in the .XMB file, I will post a screenshot in a minute showing what I mean.

Well what you need is a HexEditor and Bindows "Hex Converter." Of course know where to look in the .XMB file.

Edit:

Here's what you need to look for... Anything with the name of "EngineLoad"; "EngineUnload"; and "EngineStart."

Everything in the image that's highlighted in red represents the name of what it controls, in this case "EngineLoad." Everything that's highlighted in green represents the audio level of the sound in 3rd person views; hood view; and bumper view. Everything that's highlighted in blue represents the audio level of the sound in interior view/1st person view.

Keep in mind that the 3rd person view audio Hex group will always be 4 Hex groups to the left of the name and the interior view audio Hex group will be right next to the exterior view Hex group (to the left).

Hope this helps a bunch...

Also keep in mind that certain "EngineLoad" and "EngineUnload" might control different sounds. In general the first "EngineLoad" part (either 0 or 1) is the idle sound and the other "EngineLoad" parts are the engine RPM sound files.

I found those numbers but I have no idea what to do with those numbers.

Use this tool that Binbow created to convert the Hex numbers to a float. You can also convert float numbers to Hex, which you will overwrite with the new number you want.

I try but I still do not understand how to change the settings to increase the volume of engine. I do not understand what numbers to use and how (I do not know anything about computer numbers), I will try to improve the sound without having to amplify it so much.
