Just got the 3 Red Lights!! (Have a read it may help)

well i know somebody who works in gamestation and he said just bring it in and he will give me instore credit for a full working xbox, and use it for a pre-order towards the new xbox elite

Bloody typical! The day I'm ready to give up the console and send it to be fixed is the day it works!! I basically just gave them a call saying that I keep on getting the red lights (Not telling them about me opening it up to clean out aswell as the constant towel trick) and he tells me to go turn it on.. I'm thinking.. Damn I havn't used it all day ofcorse it's gonna work! And I turn it on and presto! It's working fine.. However I just say I'm still seeing red lights and he goes on to ask me what the colour of the powerpack is and I'm like "Damn..." I had a look and it was green but I said it orange hoping that what it normally is with 3 lights but he's goes through a fixing technique of removing cables and re-attaching and I just say it works and hang up.. However on the good side.. it took me like 15 seconds to get through to someone and the guy was very friendly and helpful.. So top marks there.. I firgured I'm gonna play it tonight untill I get red lights and take a look at it then and call them tomorrow morning! So ta.

After 13 minutes of talking my way through the agent he finally decided the console is in need of repair and I should recieve it half way through September.. Jolly good! Until they find the Silver sticker missing on the front :cry:

Yeah, looks like they're going to send it straight back to you! I still haven't phoned them yet.

I think I might have it coverd.. I've told them that my faceplate was broken (so I can then say that the sticker was taken off by my younger brother)..
