Little red dot

Lately there's this little red dot at the top left corner of my screen.

When it appears frames drop to a steady 25 from a steady 40 odd.

Any info on that?

That will be when you hit the record button on your filming pictures ;)

 

If you go into your photo thread, the pictures with the red dot mean you're filming. I mean it even looks like a recording icon ... :p

 

what software you using to display the FPS?

I know Xfire has a recording option, which displays a red button in the upper left hand corner when recording.
