Oh yea if it came and went then probably a good time to grab an elite. You can wait for it to RRoD but tbh if I had the spare cash for an Elite or a new premium with HDMI and new heat sink thats exactly what I would be doing.

Why?? Just wait til yours dies or wait til xmas time as I'm sure theres gonna be another 360 out nearer christmas with some new gimmick like a bigger HDD (hence bringing down the elite price) or with BD (hence a 360 Ultimate) or something.

There is a rumoured new 360 chipset, thing is its due in 2009. So yea.... buy an elite or wait until it dies and go through the refurb proce...... no buy an elite.
