Problem with export 2DB to DDS.

Hi,

 

I want to export 2DB to DDS, but when i do this the texture are corrupt. i see the texture 2 times.

 

Someone know this problem.. i use Paintshop pro with the nvidia plugin.

After i export it to 2db.

You are using the incorrect compression method in the plugin saving settings.

 

If you use the BXTbmp Software, then that will find the correct save settings and saves a lot of hastle!

The problem is not the exporter. i think there is a problem with the TDU modding program.

 

When i extract him and covert it to DDS and save it as a DDS file than there is noting wrong. but when i convert it back to 2db than make the program it like that.

 

With Dxtbmp i got more from tis pictures in it ..

No, it is the conversion. What ever setting you use, it looks OK, but it's the wrong format for TDU and or the wrong file size. TDU Modding Tools will be working fine :)

 

 

The use of the DXTbmp program will solve your problem :)

Got still the problem..

Strange is. i got this problem before.. but i solve it, tis one do not want to be solve.

First, i open extract the BKN file with the BNK file editor,

Then i covert the 2DB file to DDS with the TDU Modding Tools.

Then i open the DDS with Photoshop Pro, and change the thing i like.

I save it like what you see on the picture.

The other options behind the buttons are Default.

Next i convert it back from DDS to 2DB. than i put it back in the BNK file.

 

If save the file in Photoshop and i open the changed DDS file in DXTbmp and save it then it will change the alpha channel .. but i think thats wrong.

 

Meaby i got i not rite. or a option most be changed.

Exactly. As I said, the compression selection is incorrect. It needs to be saved as DDS DXT5. If you use the DXTbmp software and do not change the save as selection. It will work. I tried it with the shadow, and it works.

Its working. :D .. 1000x tnx :) .. strange is that i always saved with DXT1 and works fine . but now its match better.

 

Neon its working.. now most i find out how i can use the neon if i driving around.

I wanna make a WS mapping.. but dont now with compression i need to use.
