wanna speed up firefox?

Trust me this works. even on slower connections.

1. Type "about:config" in the adress field.

2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".

3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".

4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"

5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0" (not availible in newer versions)

Haven't noticed a different.

 

I only have 1 problem with Firefox.

 

When I just booted my PC up and I start FireFox for the first time, it will take from 30-60

seconds to open up :( Anyone know why?

Don't know whats causing that sorry. mine starts up fine. Faulty or slow add-on maybe?

Mine takes a long time to start first time of the day aswell. I always think of it as my addons and the computer still starting stuff, the rest of the day it's fine :oook:

What addons do you have?

 

Maybe we both have same add on, and if so maybe that could be cause of slowness.

Then I have Java Quick Starter, but that wasn't added by me, so didn't count it. Also have quite a few themes and other thingys that aren't activated.

I think that is AVG Safe Search aswell, but I always go to Google anyway, and it scans the results?

I have Download Helper

 

Download Helper really slows it down first time opening it, I had problems with it when I had it.
