  1. That's quite an update! Lots of tweaks and optimisations are good to see as well as the control and input progress.
  2. So your cars are showing in the trade section but you cannot locate them in any of your house garages. How about via a race, can you access any of yours cars via the races?
  3. The front of the Astra is almost there, for me personally I want to pull the bonnet and area above the lights that bit more forward and down as it looks like it stopped too early.
  4. Ooh yeah forgot about Unlisted.
  5. Hey there Dext welcome to the :duck:. Great to hear you are into ye old modding so we look forward to what delights you can bring to the players. As for your youtube question, either is fine but public will get you more exposure which is usually never a bad thing!
  6. In your eyes sure, for others it is a chance to compete and a reason to play the game more.
  7. You'll eat these words at some point during the games release. Internet connections are not infallible and neither are the servers on which they connect to. Unless the game specifically requires something at the remote end to function there is no reason to completely lock out players from progressing with the campaign imo.
  8. I think the fear is the game is useless without a connection, you should still be able to roam if your connection drops imo and play the single player campaign.
  9. I'm thinking more like OG Most Wanted tbh which would make me quite happy.
  10. Guess we'll find that out at E3 as the game is meant to be playable there.
  11. Many Happy Returns mate! (do people still say this and why? what does it mean exactly? that's your homework for this week all who read this!)
  12. It can be fun to read these fixes and see what stands out like the being called in to refuel when fuel consumption has been disabled, that's a good one.
  13. Yeah but there's "5 unique ways", then "five ways" and then just to be sure there's another mention of "5 unique ways".
  14. So wait, it wasn't very clear but does it say there will be "five ways" to play this new NFS? And Microsoft must be running this game fully from the cloud. :p
  15. There's some mentions about ATi FPS issues on this forum from a quick Google search.
  16. [headline]The Crew Leagues[/headline] We heard of the 'Leagues' and some of their bullet points in the recent Patch Notes for June but now we have a full rundown on what exactly this new addition will bring when it hits on June 3rd. For starters there are four Leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, and each of these are divided up into four divisions. Everyone will start off at the bottom in Division 4 of the Bronze league and the goal is to do your best to progress through the other divisions right up to the Platinum League where you will be fully entitled to bragging rights and free bacon sandwiches*. :p [subhead]I better get something for doing this![/subhead] Of course the time, effort and no doubt frustration you will experience in making your way up will not go unrewarded, no sire it will not, as from as early as Division 3 in the Bronze league you will unlock some lovely shiny things, including stickers, colours and rims for your moving machines made of metal. [Ed - you mean cars?] To give your brain a help in understanding this, we have generously placed the Bronze and Gold offerings below. Each division also entitles you to wear a rather lovely and fashionable numbered sticker that will show to the world just how pathetic and useless you are unless you have the number one. [Ed - bit unfair that!] Being part of a league means you need to accumulate points to progress up the ranks and in The Crew you do this by racing. Who'd have thunk that? With some genuinely clever foresight the designers have realised that you should be able to do this with as many or as little players as you can get together, and so depending on the amount of players in a race your final position will determine how well or how awful the result will be attributed to your standing. Finish behind in a 1v1 and you obviously are going to be penalised but finish 4th or 5th in a full lobby and you will stay neutral. It's actually on paper a decent scoring system but the proof will be in the actual racing itself and whether other players will actually race, or more likely will be barge fest at the first corner and the need to spin people at virtually every opportunity. :( The full scoring depending on the amount of parsnips racing can be seen in the table we have stolen from the official The Crew Blog entry below. [subhead]Dumb vs. Dumber[/subhead] The game will also try it's best to match idiots like you up with others like you, but unfortunately it cannot guarantee an infinite amount of those and so at times you will find yourself paired with, or on the grid with the better skilled. There is benefit to be gained if this does happen as should you beat them - as unlikely as that may and will be - you will get a nice bonus in positive scoring which makes climbing up the ranks that touch faster. There is also a League Store where all the rewards and trinkets you receive will be available to purchase and should you fall down in the rankings worry not as you will not lose the goodies you have accrued providing you have purchased them. 17. That would be sweet, thanks man. Don't forget to watch your rev level on those drag strip events to snag that boost!
  18. Still up there with the engine sounds or is that just rose-tinted umm headphones I'm wearing?
  19. League Feedback appreciated by its designer. [media=twitter]603242985204097025[/media] plain text version for backup

  21. [headline]Pikes Peak joins DiRT Rally[/headline] The incredible Pikes Peak Hillclimb course has joined DiRT Rally as of today via a free update to the title which is currently available via Steam Early Access. Players will be able to test their wits on two versions of the notorious track that has been tackled by and taken down many a driver over the near 100 years it's been home to many racing events - one that is full asphalt and another that mixes asphalt and gravel. Along with the world-renowned Colorado course comes three extremely much loved icons of the rally world in the: Peugeot 205 T16 PP, Audi Sport Quattro S1 PP and the Peugeot 405 T16 PP. The Pikes Peak pack is the first of a number of updates planned for the game during it's Early Access phase on Steam. [subhead]DiRT Rally Pikes Peak Trailer[/subhead]
  22. Like was said previously, the real visuals are shown when it says 'actual gameplay'. The game will be at E3 though so we don't have too long to wait to see it in motion. As long as it is fun to play that's all that matters to most people anyway, great visuals can only take a game so far before people stop gawking and start getting bored.
  23. It doesn't look rendered in the traditional sense, when you pause at bits it's not perfect but due to the camera motion and quick edits you don't see much for too long. Could be clips from cut scenes which are created by the game engine but obviously can have more thrown at them due to only one or a few cars showing on-screen at the time.
