  1. Am I the only one who gets scared while playing scary games? It's not only the horror games too, just games in general that surprise or have a build up in tension, lead you into a false sense of safety and then something happens on screen startling you. I like and hate games like this. The fear and dread you feel while making your way through the game's setting and always being on edge that something is coming. Or the eerie music and ambient sound effects making you apprehensive about proceeding ahead. Some examples that you would expect to hear me say are those from the Resident Evil series, Condemned, Silent Hill, Alien etc. But, I am also talking about Fallout, The Witcher and even tactical shooters like Rainbow Six. Those moments where something just appears to your side, from behind or that chill down the spine when you see something that isn't actually there. That last one happens to me quite a lot. Walk into a dark room and get a shudder at the belief I saw something in the corner of my eye only to look and see a piece of furniture or a damn shadow! :fp: The funny thing about this is, I can watch horror movies and the like pretty much no problem. So come on, please tell me I am not alone with this?!
  2. Those who are playing the game and who have played previous titles know what the new game has and what it is missing best. Unfortunately it is easy to get into a argument when you also have passion for a series and this in turn can make you more unaware of any failings that may be there. Nowadays a decent graphics level is expected but of course you are going to get those people who only see that as being a fundamental instead of looking at it as whole. The negatives I see aren't mainly to with the visuals, they are to do with the loot boxes, the misleading pit stops, and the removing of difficulty bonuses. I am more likely to side with the review that talks about the reduction of racing focus than anything to do with some ugly looking trees or reflections, because as long as the game plays well and still provides the same experience the series is known for, that's all I want. :) Regarding if it's a big enough change compared to the last one, well Forza has gotten to a point where it is its own enemy here. Increases are expected all around; be it in car list, tracks and other areas. So we end up with getting what feels like a rehash with the same models and environments being included. But here's the crux, if these were to be removed then this would also receive complaints so how can they win? Do they trim the fat in the car list by looking to available data and statistics and bring in more modern examples to make up the numbers? Inevitably doing this will piss some off and so it's a really tricky place to be in and deal with. We all want what WE want. And when we don't get that, we will moan and be vocal about it. It also doesn't help matters that games are dropped on the release date and then fixed later. Where we have the devs waiting to see what their playerbase finds and the feedback they give. With the latter that can be a good thing, but it is quite annoying to feel like players are basically testing these games at times when they hit retail.
  3. Nice video that. It was very cool to hear the talk between the two and also see how the lines Hamilton was taking on the tracks.
  4. I forgot that Laguna isn't in the main game at the moment, but that should be changing with that tasty upcoming Bonus Pack. :) In a racing sim it's almost guaranteed for there to be different compounds on offer.
  5. Nice car and track to start things off with.
  6. I do like seeing those illusion vans driving about.
  7. Sounds good. It's always best to compare like for like.
  8. That's near nighttime mate, it's easy to hide stuff when it's not being seen.
  9. No I get that a downgrade would be needed to keep performance right in weather scenarios, but I also know that it is easy to get a bad pic when the lighting is drab. It would be interesting to see those same areas in shots where the weather is the same.
  10. If that is how pit-stops actually work then that is pretty misleading. Those sound and graphic comparisons are quite something after all. In saying that though, I think it's easy to get a bad pic in FM7 because of the variable time of day that it can apply over the period of a race, giving that flat look.
  11. It's so cool that in all of the on-track shots that there is something to look at in the background too. Not quite sure what's going on with that helicopter in the first with the Nissan though, hope that's a cliff edge.
  12. You are going mad in that pickup and it looks so much fun!
  13. That is a very cool set, I like all of them! The second-to-last has me thinking of Martin's place in GTA Online for some reason.
  14. Not a colour you see often on an RS but it kind of works.
  15. Just another day in Dubai by the looks of it. :cheeky: I gotta give it to the apple green Lambo in this lot, that is a brilliant shot because of the bright colour of the car reacting with the sun light.
  16. Stunning shots with that Audi racecar and your new P1 is looking good.
  17. The pre-load should be live now, are you on it?
  18. It's all in the details as they say and it sounds like you are sticking to this. You sound quite chuffed with how the plate thing is going and the other customisation options you got working now is great to hear. Good work all round! :)
  19. I'd say it's more like GT3 A-spec which was a damn good game to be honest. I don't quite get why it is that small, before and after GT5 and GT6 came out we heard all about how the car models had been made next-next-gen proof (slight exaggeration) and would make the next game more packed and not take years to come out. Well...
  20. Kind of, knew it was coming and you could see it but those who needed to do something about it, didn't. BTW that's your 5454th post.
  21. Someone is having too much fun with this game. :D Don't blame you mind. I do like the way you have caught the Audi in a way that exemplifies the whole handling of a 'quattro'. :nods:
  22. The first image is made extra special because of the wee Beetle in the background. It's like: why is that even there? Not sure you can really call an E39 M5 a sleeper ?? :hmmm:
  23. You been busy bud. :D Nice racing action shots with the GT cars, especially that C7R that you seem to have a real affection for. :p And a stunning catch of the McLaren spitting out some angry flames.
  24. That's the thing, Gran Turismo isn't a must buy game anymore. It will probably do well enough but the name will only go so far before people tire of being let down.
