  1. The Crew Motorfest announced - Welcome back to O'ahu! After growing rumour and speculation, Ubisoft's Ivory Tower studio revealed their 3rd game in The Crew series. First planned as an expansion to The Crew 2, the project has grown large enough to warrant a full title release. The reveal trailer shows the return to the popular island paradise O'ahu among Hawaii's islands. A variety of vehicles were shown in the video trailer (below), and the return of boats and aircraft has also been confirmed in a developer interview. 'Hundreds of cars' will be available to players. One notable difference compared to Test Drive Unlimited will be the adaptation of O'ahu into a smaller playable area as opposed to aiming for a 1:1 scale recreation. Key locations, such as the city of Waikiki, appear to remain close to their original size, but we imagine the long roads and highways linking these points of interest may be squished, taking inspiration from the map design in The Crew 1 & 2. The advantage of this decision, according to game director Stéphane Beley, is that environment artists can “touch every kilometre” instead of relying on procedural generation techniques, and players can enjoy a "higher density of activities and biomes". Fans can register their interest in joining the Insider Program, which will allow for confidential play-testing and sharing of feedback prior to launch later in 2023. Four stages are planned, each inviting progressively more PC and eventually console players to join. The Crew Motorfest is planned to launch sometime in 2023 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The Crew (1) launched on 2 December 2014, and The Crew 2 launched on 29 June 2017. New content continues to be added to The Crew 2 even in early 2023, with Season 7 Episode 2 showcasing high-speed races in Blizzard conditions. What do you think of this news? Are you excited to return to O'ahu, even if it is squished beyond recognition in places? Do you think Ivory Tower and Ubisoft will nail the physics and game progression? Have you registered for the early access closed beta test?
  2. TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED SOLAR CROWN NEWS // 21 April 2021 KT Racing + Nacon have provided their second glimpse at the highly-anticipated third installment in the Test Drive Unlimited series. The brief trailer teases the lifestyle players can expect to experience: Why send a message to a Solar Crown competitors' smart-watch when you can leave a conspicuous-looking envelope on the dresser? Somebody better start a car list thread... Have you ever seen such high quality car key fobs in a racing game before? Indicators present and accounted for. Dat Ass... ton Martin. Is this a hint at the quality of in-game characters and level of customisation available? Might this person be 'feeling in top form'? The casino will be a welcome return for many players. You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run... You never count your car keys while you're sitting at the table, there'll be time enough for countin' when the dealing's done. Could this be the exit ramp of a giant yacht? With a casino on said yacht? The next chapter (presumably another video trailer) is expected 3 months from now in July 2021. Don't be shy, what do you think of this trailer? What hints have we missed speculating about?
  3. 2012 was an interesting year. Some wondered if it would be the last year, and of course a movie had to develop that plotline further. Perhaps worse than that, the official online servers for Test Drive Unlimited 1 were shut down, which made us all feel very sad. Not long later we had the release of the first open world Forza title for XBOX 360 which took us to a version of Colorado which strangely lacked Pikes Peak. It was a good game, and the start of a good series to fill in the void left by TDU, but it just wasn't the same. At least it still provided a few laughs. But that wasn't all. In March of 2012 we were treated to a new flight 'simulator' from Microsoft, which conveniently for us, featured Hawaii of all places. It was a freemium game with DLC planes, locations and challenges. A number of us do like to fly on PC on occasion. If you don't count the re-release of a 64-bit version of Flight Simulator X Acceleration on Steam in 2014, then the 2012 release of Microsoft Flight was our last flying update from Microsoft in 7 years. So imagine our delight when Microsoft surprises us with a gorgeous trailer showing us a new version of the simulator due to land (pun intended) sometime in 2020. Take a look for yourself here: The trailer doesn't tell us a great deal of details about the upcoming sim, but the amazing detail of the world (without having to purchase and install a hundred add-ons) in stunning 4K definitely has our attention here at TurboDuck. We'll be sure to make a beeline for O'ahu as soon as we can. Here's what we can deduce from the trailer and it's description: * Available on Xbox and Windows PC (so it should attract casual fliers) * Powered by satellite data and MS Azure AI Cloud computing * Amazing volumetric clouds which cast realistic shadows on the ground * SNOW * Bodies of water are not a singular colour, and cities have High Def textures out of the box * FOG * Delicious reflections on aircraft and detailed airport vehicle and building textures with shadows * A variety of light and stunt aircraft as well as jumbo jets, including the cover-plane from Microsoft Flight from Icon * Beautiful sunsets accompany expected time-of-day and weather settings * High-detailed 3D cockpits with the ability to turn your head, bank your aircraft and admire the view below * Many real-world scenic attractions to visit including what appears to be New York, Dubai, Alcatraz, Egypt, San Francisco, along with coral reefs, mountains, canyons, craters, stadiums, and more * Lighting and rain effects * Hundreds of vehicles on the roads and in the carparks below * Wildlife including flamingos, elephants, and giraffes * Multiplayer * Challenging Alpine landing strips Want to come fly with me? Let's fly, let's fly away to the Comments section below to discuss one of Microsoft's oldest slogan questions:

  5. Check out the teaser trailer for our new racing simulator - Automobilista 2, scheduled for release in December 2019! Automobilista 2 is the culmination of a project developed over the course of nearly a decade. At its core, it is a comprehensive simulation of the brazilian motorsports scene, featuring all major brazilian racing series, race tracks and manufacturers. Automobilista 2 will also celebrate Brazilian motorsports heritage by featuring some of the country´s most iconic heroes and achievements through its rich history in the sport. Packing an even larger roster of diverse cars and tracks than its predecessor, Automobilista 2 will venture further into the best of international motorsports, including prestigious brands such as Mclaren and BMW along with iconic venues such as Brands Hatch and Imola, at the same time continuing to explore the more exotic and exciting forms of motorsports from around the world. Boosted by a new technical partnership with the developers of the award-winning Project CARS series, Automobilista 2 is built on the MADNESS engine, providing incredible graphical quality, the most advanced dynamic weather and track condition systems in a racing simulator and superior VR support, to deliver a substantial realism upgrade and a fully immersive visual experience. With Automobilista 2 we aim to combine the strengths that made its predecessor unique with major evolutions in all areas. The sim will offer some exclusive features for both single player and multiplayer, which we look forward to sharing over the remaining months of development!
  6. Codemasters published a new trailer, promoting the upcoming DiRT Rally 2.0 Season One - Stage 3 DLC content for their seventh installment in the DiRT series. DiRT Rally 2.0, Season One, Stage 3 brings players the Germany Rally, the Subaru Impreza and the Ford Focus RS Rally 2007 together with a Special Livery for five vehicles. This content will be dropping throughout the month of May and is available for Deluxe Edition players to download as part of their Season Pass content. Standard Edition players will be able to purchase each bit of content separately on the relevant platform store.
  7. This year marks the first where we will not see a new version of Forza Motorsport release on its usual 2-year cycle. This mostly has been due to the longer-than-normal duration of product support and enhancement. It was only recently announced that development had just switched from enhancing FM7 to a new title. In the meantime, what new Forza experiences can fans enjoy? A second map DLC for Forza Horizon 4 shouldn't be too far away, but if you're a fan of gaming on the street, then Forza may have just the thing for you. Announcing Forza Street Available for PC, Android and IOS, Forza Street appears to be a rebranded version of the existing game Miami Street , but will be available as a free-to-play title later this year. Watch the trailer below to learn more. It is also possible to find footage of Miami Street on YouTube Do you play mobile racing games? Are you interested in trying out this title? Let us know in the comments below.
  8. Welcome To Blighty, Mate! Yeah sorry... cliche, I know. Unbelievable. The location of Forza Horizon 4 is the UK? Well bloody 'ell I'm excited. As IGN put it "Playground’s Britain looks to me like a decade of Top Gear episodes brought to life," and what's not to love about that? But anyway that's not all that's exciting. Let's get into the nitty-gritty. Location: 'Beautiful, Historic Britain' - So far there's only confirmation of England and Scotland (Edinburgh, Lake District, Cotswolds, etc), but I'm hoping we'll also see the excellent Welsh driving roads and of course the Isle of Man. (And yeah I wouldn't mind seeing my home country of NI... but that's unlikely now isn't it?) Dynamic livestock and fields! No really. "So wheat fields will appear green and fresh in spring [and] return to their characteristic golden colour in summer. In autumn you’ll see all that harvested and baled up, ready to go, and in winter obviously the field will be fallow" - art director Ben Penrose. New driving surfaces: dry mud, wet mud, compact snow, deep snow, ice, etc. There's an off-road adventure park! Vehicles: Over 450 vehicles. New customisation options such as 'Drift Suspension'. Cover cars are McLaren Senna and Land Rover Defender 90 - God bless the Queen! Gameplay: Shared world - goodbye drivatars! :D With up to 72 players per server there's no more need for drivatars.. isn't that fantastic? Don't fear the rammers - only your friends can crash into you. Strangers will be ghosted on contact. It's Not Always Online - if you're a bit of a lone wolf like myself you'll be happy to hear you can go be alone if you want. Well... alone with the drivatars. Seasons - Dynamic seasons; "Every season changes the world around you". Dynamic time of day. Dynamic weather. Dynamic seasons, TOD, and weather will be synced for every player so you'll experience it all together at the same time. Each season will last for 1 week. Purchase properties - Oh hi, TDU! Apparently, this includes Edinburgh Castle... I wonder how many Forzabucks that'll cost? Purchase businesses - Have you dreamt of owning your own taxi firm? You're in luck. 60FPS mode available on the Xbox X. Native 4K and HDR. Quick-chat - use the D-Pad to communicate with other players, useful for us Xboxers who CBA with a microphone! Co-Op - seamlessly enter co-op from within the game world. Up to 6 players. Forzathon Live - world events available for up to 12 players. Horizon Stories - Sounds reminiscent of TDU/TDU2 driving contracts; a bunch of "cool driving opportunities" like being a stunt driver in a movie. Avatar customisation - Sounds familiar, doesn't it? 500 apparel choices for both genders and even post-race emotes/reactions like GTA. More details when we have them :) Release date: October 2nd, 2018
  9. It's (almost) that time of the year again folks. E3 Games Expo 2018 begins with conferences starting on Saturday, June 9th, then opens to the public on Tuesday, June 12th. Here's what we've got to look forward to: Saturday 9th June Electronic Arts [11am PT | 2pm ET | 7pm BST] Kicking off E3 with the EA conference, we can expect to see the latest instalment of their EA Sports franchises such as FIFA, Madden, NHL, etc, as well as a new , and the addition of some new IPs such as Anthem from BioWare. Sunday 10th June Microsoft [1pm PT | 4pm ET | 9pm BST] Next up we have the Microsoft conference, which will be held next door to E3 because it's damn popular to fit in the LA Convention Center.. seriously. We can expect, as usual, a new Forza announced, Halo, Gears of War, and possibly a return of the Fable franchise if the rumours are true. Bethesda [6:30pm PT | 9:30pm ET | 2:30am BST] It looks like we can expect to see a new AAA title from Bethesda, a return of Elder Scrolls or more likely an expansion for Elder Scrolls Online, and some new DLC content for existing games. Oh.. and a NEW FALLOUT Monday 11th June Square Enix [10am PT | 1pm ET | 6pm BST] After the rousing success of Tomb Raider, it looks like we'll be getting a preview of the sequel, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Final Fantasy fans can also look forward to seeing the remade FF7. Ubisoft [1pm PT | 4pm ET | 9pm BST] Ubisoft will continue to kick a dead horse build upon its legacy with additions to their long running franchises Assasin's Creed and Tom Clancy (The Division 2) and returning Beyond Good & Evil which is almost as old as I am. Maybe some more footage of The Crew 2? Sony [6pm PT | 9pm ET | 2am BST] Don't expect to see the PlayStation 5 just yet, the PS4 has got a few years left in it yet, but there will be plenty to look forward to such as Marvel's Spiderman and The Last of Us Part 2. Tuesday 12th June Nintendo [9am PT | 12pm ET | 5pm BST] Finishing off the conferences will be Nintedo's video presentation highlighting the upcoming Smash Bros for the Switch and a few other titles coming to the Switch such as Pokemon (we hope), new Kirby and Yoshi games, and perhaps a new Animal Crossing. 20. The latest News, Screens, Videos, Trailers and articles regarding Cyberpunk 2077 until it's actually released. CD Projekt RED (CDPR) tonight showed off the Teaser Trailer for their new game; Cyberpunk 2077. This game is highly anticipated with only a few renders shown and of course this first teaser trailer and the main reason is because they are a well liked and respected developer because unlike the majority of them they listen and acknowledge their fans. And in a poetic light they could actually be the very definition of a developer who are actually gamers. If you haven't heard of them by name then no doubt you will have heard of their main game series of 'The Witcher' and perhaps even their Digital Distribution Mecca of http://gog.com. Well now they have a new IP to add next to The Witcher and this is Cyberpunk 2077. A game that looks like it will be a blend of Blade Runner, Fifth Element, Mass Effect and Deus Ex. Not so much in their gameplay but more the look, feel and characters that we will see. If you watch the trailer below you will see many things to excite including of course the 'femme fatale' android who appears to be about to get swift justice dispensed straight to her head. Interestingly enough they are still assembling the team for this game and the release date is said to be an ironically reassuring "When it's done". I say this because even though we may want it as quick as, we also want a good quality game at the same and of course as has been proved many times in the past 'Good things come to those who wait' and this is especially true when it comes to a CDPR game. I'll be watching this one for sure along with 'The Last of Us' and 'Watch Dogs'. The future for the Futuristic RPG seems incredibly forthcoming and I personally can't wait! Teaser Trailer - 10/01/2013
