Assetto Corsa Console Update A new community blog posted by Kunos Simulazioni reveals further details of what's to come in the PS4 and Xbox One update that is aiming to release this month. Along with the previously mentioned fixes for the main issues relating to graphics, control and AI, we learn that the ‘Black Cat County’ fictional road layout and Maserati Levante are also coming with it. [caption id=attachment_5476" align="alignnone" width="800] Welcome to 'Black Cat County' - (image from PC announcement)[/caption] ‘Black Cat County’ comes in three layouts of short, intermediate and long and despite being the ‘short’ version it still takes about 3 minutes to complete a lap of the Death Valley-like location in a sportscar according to Kunos. The dusty and twisty road layout, accompanied with high-speed sections and straights is a nice breakaway from the many closed-off circuits already included, giving players the opportunity to test the handling in a more relaxed open road setting. The Maserati Levante is the first SUV to come from the famous trident fronted marque and was created to compete in the luxury SUV market. And with it being big. heavy and fast, with a top speed of over 160 mph, the Levante will unquestionably be quite the adventure to not only throw about and drive hard on 'Black Cat County', but also everywhere else! Note: video trailer below is the original for PC version No date is set in stone for this PS4 and Xbox One update, but as said before, September is still the aim.

pc BF4 50% off, DLC free for the weekend
Eudemon replied to Paladin Skylark's topic in Gaming Discussion
Wow that's madness but in a good way! Battlefield games are always such fun and reward teamwork which is why I really enjoy them. Thanks for the tip! -
The Crew Goes Free Starting yesterday, anyone with a Uplay account could dive on over to the Ubisoft Club website and download the PC version of The Crew for free. Since our post last week about this happening however, it appears a few things have changed or have been clarified. The full game is what is provided and players get to keep it as long as they download before the offer ends on October 11th, 2016. Unfortunately what was interpreted as all the DLC that had been released for the game up to now being included, due to the original video with Community Developer, Soufyane Brahimi specifying that the game would be offered “with all the content we've been adding in the past two years” is now not the case. As this seems to have changed to only be the FREE content, and if this was always the case it would seem kind of redundant to state this. So it is more than likely it was either never intended to be that way or things changed for the actual offer itself, which ends 3 days earlier than originally stipulated too. Though as bothersome as that is, there is still a full game being given away for nothing and the environment size, multitude of activities and time that can be passed just racking up the miles (as long as you develop a feel for the handling that works for you) is certainly worth the zero cost. It costs nothing and it's well worth a try, so be sure to grab your copy before the offer's end date.

They are linked in the thread listing pages itself but I can see how this could be handy from the front. I'll have a look into seeing if it can be done.

Forza Horizon 3 Demo According to the Microsoft Store website a demo for Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One is due to drop sometime today! The listing that appears to have sneaked online in the past few days shows the release date as 12th September, 2016 at 01:00 (UK) which is if using 24 hour time, less than an hour from now. It looks to be quite a sizeable one too, coming in at more than 18GB for download. There have been sightings on POS and promotional materials that seem to mention a demo sometime this week, but it would be excellent if it was this close. The good thing is, there isn’t that long to wait and see for ourselves either way. Unfortunately however, there is no mention of a demo for PC, sorry about that. Source: Microsoft Store UPDATE:// 1 - PC Demo information Forza Horizon 3 PC Demo? Turn 10 have posted information in regards to a PC demo of Forza Horizon 3 and the good news is, one is on its way. The slightly bad news however is that it will not release until after the game's launch. They recommend players eager for a Forza PC fix to try FM6: Apex which recently exited the Beta phase and became a full version release, as what they have learned from that has helped in the development in Horizon 3 for its Windows 10 appearance. We know fans are curious about the state of a Windows 10 PC demo for Forza Horizon 3. A standalone “Forza Horizon 3” PC demo will be released sometime after launch. We invite all players who are eager to play Forza on PC to try “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex”, available now in the Windows 10 Store for free. - Brian Ekberg // ForzaMotorsport.net UPDATE:// 1 - Posted on Sep 13th @ 00:39 am GMT

Haha, I understand Softie. *backs away slowly* -
It would do if you can get it in a bigger size. Also people don't forget your 'Entry Post' text with your entry.

我觉得我在忘记之前也去报考一下比较好

A valid request as it's a vehicle and as you say it has been done before. It's whether someone would be up for doing it though. And yeah you can think why? and it's stupid but it is just a simple ask, not a demand that you have to go through with.

The whole uproar about the PS4 Pro not having 4K Blu-ray support seems crazy to me. I get that it would be a good thing to have and I can see why people are saying if Sony is happy to promote the supposed 4K(inda) ability of this system then does it not seem weird not to have one but, it's a games system set for the harder more enthusiast console gamer so why the crying about a media capability? I still think PS5 will come in 2018 and that it will have a drive that supports UHD Blu-ray due to mainly game storage than for the media ability and in a way a new generation (if it happens) makes more sense in providing that support than adding it mid-way. If you were considering picking this up before the reveal due to the leaks and such, does the lack of that function change your mind?

Assetto Corsa Console Fixes It may be a fantastic simulation racer for console but the recently released Assetto Corsa is not without its problems. Thankfully however, it appears that some of the main ones will receive fixes along with other improvements in an upcoming update for PS4 and Xbox One. The core of these that have been mentioned in a Facebook post by Licensing Project Manager, Marco Massarutto, is the ever irritating screen tearing and an improved “smoothness” in the graphics, which hopefully is in reference to a solution for the frame rate dips both platforms experience. Tearing issues have been solved, and the graphics is much more smooth in any situation. The smoothness also gives a better perception of visuals, and allows to feel a better car handling. - Marco Massarutto Reviews and opinions of the game regularly praise the handling but other issues such as control when using a gamepad and the AI being too tough, even on lower settings, seem to often be stated as causes that hinder player enjoyment. So it is great to see that improved controller support and AI balancing is forthcoming also, with the latter delivering new “Very Easy” and “Alien” difficulty levels. Fixes for the Thrustmaster T80, T100 and TH branch of shifters is also listed including the adding of a “reset to default” command which will put the settings to a recommended set of values. Assetto Corsa performs a full rotation of the steering wheel, depending by the car you choose, that actually helps to understand if you are steering too much, since the visual rotation matches the physical one. Said that, we recognize that gamepad users are not used to this kind of approach, and actually it can be weird by an aesthetical point of view. We added the option to lock the visual steering wheel, that will be setted by default at 360 degrees, and it works from 240 to 1080 degrees... - Marco Massarutto Going on to mention that this is only "some" of the things to be found within this next build and that as this is their first venture onto console where they are experimenting and learning the "hugely different" and "more complex, slow and less dynamic" route in how to get an update out on the Sony and Microsoft platforms compared with PC, it is encouraging to see Kunos listening to and responding to the criticism and feedback of their community, and as long as they prove it, the fan base will more than likely reward them. Kunos, according to Massarutto, are hoping to get this new update out during September. Source: Facebook [yop_poll id=8]

@mau: The width has to be at least 1280px even if it's a vertical image in order to make sure it will fit on the banner.

Yeah but how much would that thing have cost back in 2013?! And taking into account having native 4K which would probably require a new tv (or monitor) would add even more to that value. 8K and 16K exists now too but until it goes mainstream its value is diminished and nobody will really support it.

Should that really be the case though as taking your example it should be easy for devs to implement additional aspects within the code for that platform should it not? I guess what you are saying is that as they are doing a one-for-all production then it limits those that can have and do more. But in effect isn't that then the fault of the devs more than the console manufacturers? Unless you mean to say that the multiple compromises between platforms takes away time and effort that could be put elsewhere, however again you have to support a base specification, therefore unless you have a game coming out that is only for the 1% then you'll always have a lower barrier that will be aimed at. :)
