    Well they needed that long because they were making a new engine and constructing the whole environment, which still to this day hasn't been echoed by any other game except obviously it's successor. TDU2 from what we have seen took anywhere from 18 months to 2 years, they didn't take the whole time from 2006/7 to 2011 to make it as there was internal disagreements about how the sequel should be done via Atari and Eden. In fact if Atari stuck to their early proposed plans we would probably be on TDU4 by now! :lol:

    Well the good thing is Ubisoft appear to be one of the publishers still willing to take risks and try new things along with the typical franchises of course. I mean if Dance Central/Just Dance brings in the money for them to do these things then that's the smart way to do things.

    Yeah a good number of the original TDUteam are at and formed Ivory-Tower. It depends though if Ubisoft are pulling some strings behind their work as they essentially have to do what those paying to create the title tell them. Ubisoft Reflections (Driver San Francisco) appear to have some people working with Ivory and even though I liked DSF's handling, I thought the vehicles felt too light, but I suppose the good of that, is that it was the only real issue I had so that could be a good thing!

    If the Eden team were to jump on Kickstarter and ask for funding for a TDU type game how many here would support it? I honestly doubt many would. The damage has been done and someone else has to take over the reigns of this genre. Still makes me annoyed how they squandered and wasted the potential of the TDU sequel so badly.

    That wasn't me but I think I should be able to either collage it or randomly display 1 of the 3 with every page load.

    Well the TEST DRIVE IP and TDU franchise are secured for that company but that doesn't mean they couldn't sell it if the right bid was made for it, as what's this company going to do with it if not make another game under the name? Then again maybe they do realise the value of the series and will create another game under it's banner.

    :lol: @Andreaz: We already had that dev who recently started working at Ivory saying that their game may be shown at a big event so E3 is no surprise. What gets me is that the link above or one of them talks about Ubisoft adding a "Racing Game" to their Watch List for E3.

    You lost your CD but still have a valid key though yeah? We don't help people unless they have purchased the game. Also Atari shut down the servers and such because the game was over 5 years old, however the main reason was likely because they wanted people to forget about it and jump over to the lesser fun sequel of TDU2. You can still buy TDU from at least 1 place: GameTap

    Doing my near-monthly search for all things Atari I came across this from FT.com. I'm no smart penguin but the last little piece certainly made my ears perk up, anyone smarter than a bowl of soup may be able to translate what it means for us of lesser negative intelligence. :D Does it basically mean that the TDU franchise is seen as one of the more important assets of the company?     I'm betting Atari see value in the name only as something to sell now, rather than something to develop another title upon. Who knows though, maybe they'll do the smart thing and put SlightlyMadStudios to work on TDU3. ...yeah I know I read it myself, sorry.

    UPDATE: Looks like this is complete and the studio is now closed for good as of the 1st March 2013.

    A Modena Classic A few months back Ferrari was announced as coming to Assetto Corsa via a select few models, this started with the reveal of the 458 Italia as one of the five that would be coming to the game. The next to be shown is the absolutely legendary Ferrari F40, the last car to come from under Enzo Ferrari's watchful eye and the best Ferrari ever in many people's eyes. The mid-engined supercar from 1987 and made to celebrate 40 Years of Ferrari road cars was all about pure-driving pleasure and had none of the luxuries that you would expect from a supercar of it's price. In fact the car was all about being as light-weight as possible that even the paint was so thin you could see the carbon fibre weave underneath it! Housing a twin-turbocharged 2.9L V8 pushing 471bhp the car could hit 0-60mph in under 4 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 200mph which made it the fastest production car of the day. And now thanks to Assetto Corsa you too may be able to see what the fuss of this car was all about and finally get the chance to push this legend hard around a track.     Thanks for the report and screen D4YFOUR, I've found the cause of the issue and fixed it .....probably breaking something else in the process but hey I'll come to that if (when?) that gets reported too. :D
