The official website of the Blood-C vampire anime project announced on Saturday that the anime will be made as both a television series this July and a theatrical film next year. As previously revealed, the manga creator team CLAMP is developing the story and original character designs, and Production I.G is handling the animation. Tsutomu Mizushima (XXXHOLiC) is directing the project with creative supervision by Blood: The Last Vampire planning assistant and Blood+ director Jun'ichi Fujisaku. CLAMP's Nanase Ohkawa is supervising the scripts and co-writing them with Fujisaku. Kazuchika Kise is adapting CLAMP's character designs for animation, and Naoki Sato is composing the music. In addition, Ranmaru Kotone (Diasta of Ultima Thule, Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo -Tokikake-) will adapt the project into a manga, which will launch in the July issue of Shōnen Ace on May 26. The Blood franchise began with Hiroyuki Kitakubo and Production I.G's Blood: The Last Vampire film, in which Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, The Sky Crawlers) and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) created the story and screenplay. The film inspired Jun'ichi Fujisaku's Blood+ television series, Chris Nahon's live-action film remake, and several manga spinoffs. Image © 2011 Production I.G, CLAMP/Project Blood-C TV Source:ANN

You haven't said why. That's the point of this thread.

So more couches are confirmed then? Excellent, people won't admit it but they want more things in their homes they can pretend to sit on.
-
You have a point CLR but at the same time if what they are doing at the moment nets no results and people are still asking for those things then it kind of makes sense that they may realise we don't want that crap and in fact want the stuff we ask for. I don't get the way some companies do stuff and expect it to work out when quite clearly everyone and their dog is saying and asking for something else. All I can say and hate it as you might is; have faith. :p
-
No, as I heard they were just visiting.

The 60th volume of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece pirate manga became the first book to sell over 3 million copies since Oricon began posting its sales ranking charts in April of 2008. It sold 16,000 copies during the March 28-April 3 week for a new overall total of 3,011,000 copies. Volume 61 also sold 26,051 copies during that same week for a new total of 2,996,545 copies, so it is poised to become the second book to sell 3 million copies. Last November, volume 60 became the first book to sell over two million copies in its first week of sales in Oricon's ranking history. Volume 61 sold over two million copies in just three days in February. The same volume already holds a record for having 3.8 million copies published in its first print run. The series overall now has more than 200 million copies in print. Oda launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1997, and Viz Media will publish the 57th volume in North America in June. Source:ANN

Sounds ok, nothing special if I'm honest. Has a hint of the rawness of a 360 CS though. :) -
I'll ask about it when I get the chance.

Hakuhodo DY Holdings, the parent company of the ad firm Hakuhodo, and director Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) established Steve N' Steven — a new consulting firm for planning and producing animation in advertising and other areas — on Friday. Steve N' Steven has 30 million yen (US$360,000) in capital, and Hakuhodo DY Holdings holds a 51% stake in the new company. Hakuhodo DY Media Partners have 32%, while Kamiyama has 10%. Shōichi Furuta, formerly of Hakuhodo, serves as a representative director and the president of the new company, and Kamiyama is a representative director; both share the role of chief executive officer. Tomohiko Ishii, the producer of Eden of the East and The Sky Crawlers, serves as a company director and a producer. The new six-person company already has orders from clients. The new company aims to eventually take 10 to 15 orders a year — not just in Japan, but from overseas as well. While most advertising on television and other venues have been live-action, the financial news source Nikkei notes that it is getting easier to depict the near-futuristic image of new products with animation techniques as opposed to live-action. Nikkei also notes that Japanese animation techniques have a strong reputation overseas. Kamiyama just debuted a 3D anime short called "Xi AVANT" with stereoscopic 3D screenings of his Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society film this past weekend. The short is a tie-in with the NTT Docomo mobile phone network's next-generation Xi service. Source: Nikkei, animeanime.biz Update: "Xi AVANT's" online and theatrical debut has been pushed back from the end of March to April 9. Source:ANN

Eudemon posted a topic in Anime Discussion
ASCII Media Works' Dengeki AnimeStyle pamphlet is announcing that an anime adaptation of Hazuki Minase's C³ (C Cube/Cube x Cursed x Curious) light novel series has been green-lit. The story begins when a high school student named Haruaki Yachi receives a mysterious, super-heavy black cube from his father overseas. That night, Haruaki wakes up to a suspicious noise in the kitchen, and he discovers a "fully naked female thief of rice crackers." The girl, Fear, is the first of several surprises that Haruaki receives. Minase launched the original light novel series with illustrations by Sasori-gatame in 2007, and the 11th light novel volume is shipping on April 10. Artist Tsukako Akina launched a manga adaptation in the April issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine this past February. Source:ANN
