While this is awesome in a lot of ways, I don't think anyone should use this online. It could be considered an "advantage" to A LOT of people on the official TDU2 forums. They're supposedly working on an update that checks to see if ANYTHING in the game (either in your RAM or in your saved game) has been altered with, which could ultimately get you banned. They didn't care if anyone cheated in TDU1, so we'll see.

Does anybody know how to extract the .big files for TDU2? I just wanna dig-in.

The official TDU2 doesn't seem to have anybody experiencing this issue (or at least nobody's posting in my thread). Anyway, the server is unavailable at this time for me. It was like this for a few hours earlier. Went to a doctor appointment, came back, and it worked. Went to eat dinner, do a few things, and it's not working again. It could just be a temporary issue, but they should've been better prepared. They should've had some more beta testing, too.

Ah, so that's how all of these YouTube videos are popping up of the PS3 and 360 versions. Ugh... Tuesday can't come fast enough!

I received my MSI GT680 yesterday, and it's a HUGE improvement over my previous laptop, which was a mid-2009 15" MacBook Pro with the following specs: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz 8GB RAM (2x4GB) 9600M GT 256MB 500GB 7200RPM HDD + 64GB SSD Windows 7 Professionl x64 + Mac OS X 10.6.6 It was able to play TDU 1 at 1280x720 (high settings, HDR on, 0xAA) at around 40FPS on average. At 1920x1080 with 4xAA, it really choked. This new machine has the following specs: Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00GHz (2.9GHz Turbo Mode) 8GB RAM (4x2GB) 500GB 7200RP HDD + 64GB SSD Nvidia GF GTX 460M 1.5GB Windows 7 Professional x64 At 1920x1080 (high settings, HDR on, 4xAA), I could get around 50FPS average. A lot of you probably have hardcore desktop rigs, but for a laptop, this is spectacular. Now, for TDU2... My MacBook Pro could get around 40FPS with all settings on low, 0xAA at 1280x720. My MSI GT680 can play at 1920x1080 (high settings, 0xAA) and get around 45FPS average (offline mode using a modified EXE file, which is an old version of the game, so maybe the retail version will perform better). Overall, this laptop is a great performer and suits my needs perfectly. A lot of people are probably asking why I didn't just make a laptop... Well, I like the portability factor. You can't stick a huge gaming rig into a backpack, nor can you easily take it outside in the backyard to play TDU2 while you're laying out on a floater thing in the swimming pool . Battery life is pretty good. About 3.5 hours with light usage (with ECO mode enabled), and probably 80 minutes when gaming.

I noticed :). I was looking at the real estate in Australia and prices in USD and AUD were similar. I might move there someday, or at least visit.

When I went to the NASCAR race last April in Phoenix... I actually don't remember. I think the Nationwide race was $26 per ticket and the cup race was maybe $45?

Especially when you're at the Daytona 500. Best experience of a lifetime I would imagine. Anyone watching the Rolex 24 this weekend?

Old-ass thread, yes, but I can go on and on about how much I like NASCAR compared to other forms of auto racing. I like pretty much anything with wheels (F1, IndyCar, the Rolex sports car stuff, NHRA, etc), but NASCAR is at the top of my list. Seeing tens of thousands of people in those grandstands is nice. Have any of you ever been to a race? I went to my first one in April to the Phoenix night races. Best experience of my life, EVER. Yeah, all they do is turn left, but it's about passing cars and avoiding wrecks, which some tracks have a lot of and some tracks have very few. You either love it or you hate it. I love it, as I do most other forms of racing. F1 would probably be at the bottom of my list. IndyCar would be second.

I'm currently listening to the damn car alarm that's going off right now across the street from me at 12am.

Ah, it's all about dem lights ;). I'll make my own gaming rig one of these days (with dozens of lights). But until then, I'll stick with my MacBook Pro and external 24" monitor setup.

It's nice to see it on Steam, but I've already pre-ordered from Atari (download). Oh well. Hopefully the in-game overlay will finally work...

...I HATE IT! What's worse is that some people will isolate you if you're not in HC mode. I honestly hate it. I'm not a fan of drifting whatsoever, but it sort of pisses me off to see people completely diss people who aren't fans of HC mode. Thoughts?
